Good idea, Racer! :)
Are you going to link to every single skin every created on this website, or are you going to make tutorials like the new modding resource?
Tutorials. It will be just like the Modding Resoruce but for skins.

Using skins in MODs just does not work. Grey tread!
This is one of the many threads about why you can't get skins to work for MODs.
Unfortunately, skins are client side only..
Not only would it take a really long time for clients download the skins from your server, but the treads will always be default grey.

Very Nice thread. I think you should add the polygon skins, so new skinners get easy skins to overwrite thier skins on.

Dude Another Good Skinning Program Is PaintShopPro,Its $100,I think it might be a little better then paintshop.
I cant locate the download site,but I do own the program its an awsome skinning program!

I use the Gimp program to do my skinning, When I get finished learning it I'll do a (how to skin useing Gimp) Tutorial. I think most people here use photoshop, but for some the FREE Gimp will be a good resoruce to use. My web page is

The GIMP is a free and VERY powerful graphics program, Once you learn it, it is very good for skins.
Paint Shop Pro X
Formerly Jasc, it is now Corel Paint Shop Pro X, a great $79 tool just like Photoshop. I personally use Paint Shop Pro 7 because I like it more.
Photoshop CS Tryout
Photoshop is a graphics editor that all the pro's use, at US$649.00 it's not cheap, so
try the free 30 day trial and see if you like it first.

A cool little freebie tool for graphics editing. Very small yet powerful!

Torque Show Tool and How To use it
The TorqueShowTool Pro is a tool made by GarageGames that allows you to
