Racer, are you in for sure?
Yeah Racer, Scrum = Rugby. That is what we're playing in a sense, though only slightly more violent than the real thing. %)
BTW, cool pics!
OM
This should put fear in the heart of Tally Ho...
Lol Prey I don't wanna know why XD
Good
@Flea... It will probably ruin the fun but,
http://planetthinktanks.com/comm-thread.asp?thread=900&forum=10
I gotcher rubes.
4x4 CELEBRATIONS!
March 11 will henceforth be known as 'National Hammer Day' after our benevolent coordinator allowed us to play in mayhemish 4x4 Team Scrum action!
LONG LIVE THE HO!
Meh
Steel Corset - you all played very well. Sorry you had to hear all our griping afterwards. It was one of those evenings where just nothing would click for us. THAT was what frustrated us. It didn't seem like we could do ANYTHING right.
In general when playing, I do not lose my temper. Tonight I punched my desk at least twice during that second game. Scared the dog something fierce. %)
I don't know the numbers, but Steel Corset wins by 4. +1 in game 1, +3 in game 2.
Next time...

Ehhehe nice game black sheep s!
The first round you guys won by 2, almost won by 3 because of baba....hopefully, right when he reached about a millimeter to the goal..the clock was out! Whoopee :'(
The second round was intense! Although it was a bit cowardly of the rubes to run when the time was ticking.....just didnt want to let you score eheh (just to be safe)..sorry! Good team work rubestars and sheepsters.. B)
March 11, 2004 Shell Shockers vs. The Horde
-screenies in other thread
-Game 1: 9 - 8 Horde
-Game 2: 9 - 9 Tie
-Horde win it by a point!!! Great Games boys!!!!!!!!
-Captain George sits out
-MVP = Captain bolo
Great games overall. The shockers were outgunned but what else is new... Spawns seemed to favor the horde. Rooks was no where to be found most of both games thanks to BFE spawns...FB's made the difference as the horde throw the shell shockers on their backs!!!! MVP goes to bolo for the most goals and aggressive defense.
FUN FUN FUN
Well, finally I can post here, though PTT is being flaky today.

Glamdring vs. Clonus Horror - Final points: 22 -18 Glamdring
Game 1
Final Score: 11 - 9 Glamdring
Game 1 started wacky with a late showing from some of the Clones, causing some anxiety due to time constraints on players. ACA wasn't even supposed to play, but had no choice as Sniper was MIA.
We started game 1 as a 3 on 2 (ACA, Bak vs. OM, JJ, Dar) Despite being short one player, Clonus fought back midway through the game and threatened to tie up. Then Gerbil of Death showed up to even the playing field. Despite this, Glamdring managed to maintain a small lead and end the game 11-9.
Game 2
Final Score: 11 - 9 Glamdring
Game 2, Dar had to step out to relinquish the computer to Capt. BABA, leaving Glamdring with just OM and JJ against ACA, Bak and Gerbil. Early on, Glamdring got some good breaks combined with some teamwork to take a 2-0 lead. About 1/3 into it KKB arrived to even the playing field once again.
Game 2 was a fierce fight with great teamwork on both sides. Every time Glamdring pulled ahead by a point, Clonus would score again to tie it up. Clonus passed Glamdring in scoring late in the game, threatening to force a tie or a win. In the final moments, Glamdring managed to pull ahead by 2 points and maintain it.
Both teams played great. Capt. ACA was especially problematic for us with excellent scoring in both games. Bak and Gerbil played excellent defense, consistently killing me moments before I could gun down ACA to prevent a goal. Gerbil had a mid-air bounce-thru-the-air-steal-and-score moment that left me with my jaw hanging. All around great playing for both teams.
Just one thing I need to add here. Please, for all team members and caps, try your best to know what time your game is and to show up for it, on time if possible. It causes a lot of angst and frustration if players on both sides have to go hunting for you to remind you you have a game to play, Some of us are on time constraints, or need to take care of other things after a game. We all have lives outside of this (hopefully 8o ) Especially for us EST'ers, it's hard when a game starts very late and ends up becoming a late night in the middle of the week. Thanks.
OM
Edit : one amendment to the above to give credit where credit is due. ACA scored the most in game 1, but Gerbil of Death did most of the scoring for The Clonus Horror in game 2 as you can see in the screenshot posted on the screenie thread.

March 11, 2004 Rubes vs Black Sheep Totals: 20 - 19 Rubes
Game 1: 11 to 9 - Sheep
All I can remember is that HugoBrain was at the goal every time the Rubes could
Manage to bring the ball to the goal. It was a shoot fest 4 on 4. Thanks
Tally for the 4 on 4 re-instatement. Think we got the better at the kills, but
Hugo would respawn to thwart our advantage. The Black Sheep are an exceptional
Team. We have a cool picture of game one, with Baba just edging the goal with
The clock running out. Heh! This turned out to be the difference in a tie
Breaker or a win of the overall game.
Game 2: 11 to 8 Rubes
This game was back and forth. As the game wound down to 8 to 8, Rubes got the
Lucky spawns going to finish off the Black Sheep. The final 30 seconds the
Sheep had the ball. With 20 seconds it was stolen by 44 and he dribbled out
The clock. Prey was held scoreless by the weirdest play. Prey side swiped
Rounding a rock surprising Hugo. Prey then backed up the fraction of an inch
And a score. Thing was, looked up and the score said goal for 44 ? Bad Rube!
DJ had the lucky charms working. WeenTank didn't go to dinner with his wife ??
Anyway he showed for the game and turned into a great 4 on 4 match. Thanks to
All and especially our Server host Regent X.
3 TIMES A CHARM PREY??
I gotcher charm
Hey Tally, that some kinda practical joke not putting Glamdring above Host in the standings chart? Hmmmm? XD
BTW, check yer email. I need George or someone else to fill in for ACA in tonight's draft selection. Something came up and I won't be able to make it unfortunately.
OM
Mb no draft, email me
Oop. Draft didn't happen? Oh well, hope I wasn't the only one that was supposed to show (as proxy)
OM
We're back.
Thx z.
I think we have Dan McDonald to thank as well. Apparently he re-uploaded a fixed db over the weekend.
Prey, make sure you read your prescription. Especially the 'side- effect' lines. XD
@Hugo... SpaceBalls was funnier than Attack of the Clones!.. You try working in the Thrilla in Manilla... Trying to promote the title fight...
Heh! Psycho Scum... : )
Errrr.... Prey has a creativity block.... It was better than the alternative which follows...

You an me both Bolo...
So there was a supplemental draft and the results were.......?
I don't know exactly what is going on with the draft, but Shell Shockers needs a replacement SOON. We were already short-handed twice, and I can only make 4 (MAYBE 5) games before I'm gone. It's one thing to lose, but it will really suck if Bolo's team just dissolves! Just let him grab a guy and be done with it.
- BombJames Bomb
The draft didn't happen this weekend, as both 10 am and 10 pm passed and nobody
Let me reiterate
NOBODY
Showed up. As such, I'm using executive hammer drop and giving hussein to the Shell Shockers - provided he doesn't jack the league up. If he acts out of line ONCE
(not screwing around here)
If anybody complains about language and provides documentation of it, he's gonzo. I'm not putting up with it. Zero tolerance policy.
Also, the clonus is getting az, and racer is on the fence till I hear who else NEEDS players.
Yo ACA. My email is Azazel2@mac.com.
I'm good 2 go for now. Looks like 4/1 im gonna be out for 2 weeks. Hope I can contribute.
Oh the Horror!

The Clonus Horror vs Rubes, Mon March 15: Totals 27 to 14 Rubes
Game1:
It is hard to judge this game. My view is that the Clonus Horror has a new player Azazel & Gerbel and ACA need more time playing together as a team. The Rubes seemed to have the team assist down, and took advantage. We've been together all season...
High score was 44 (fo fo) with 7 points. Azazel was the Clonus Horror high scorer with 3. PREY was scoreless. I went about picking off and playing at getting in the way of Clonus Horror! Basically a Rube... Eh...
Game2:
This game started 2 nothing Clonus. DJ started with the Charms and... It was tied at 2 all by PREY ?? Yes, woot I got scores...
The game finished with DJ_Breaka, Azasel & PREY tied for high scores at 5's. The games turned out one sided. But, that's how things go sometimes. Thanks Clonus for delaying the game about 13 minutes as we waited for 44 to show. Good sports.
Horde vs Host
The score says it all.
'Nuff said.
*looks around for his rear so he can reattach it*
No time for a lengthy post here, but the Corset popped a stitch tonight courtesy of the Shell Shockers. Scores are on the screenie thread.
Bolo & Co. Played very well tonight it was all we could do keep their lead down to three points. Lots o' shooting & smoking corsets runnin around on the field.
Looks like Rubes are in the solo lead spot (for now ;))
MP
March 15, 2004. Shell Shockers vs. Steel Corset
TG sits out. Hoosane was a no show. MVP = bolo
Screenies say it all.
Immensly improved shooting and better teamwork allowed the shockers to pull off their first win of the season!!
Gg's all
Bolo
Horde 28 - Host 14 (11-8/17-6)
The Horde played what was one of their best games tonight, and combining that with good spawns and Tally's difficulty with his vidcard ended up creating quite a chasm between the scores. MM really was delivering some hurt all night and Sherm scored a mind-numbing 10 goals in game two! Thanks for the ride, guys!
The Guarantee
We will win out.
