Is anyone in the Clonus Horror able to host the game tonight? Sluggy is having ISP connection issues & chances are it won't be resolved in the next day or so.
Also, if anyone else would be able to set up a server in the event that Da Horror can't it would be much appreciated. We're in the early game slot at 7:00 PST.
Gracias,
MP
@prey... That link is hilarious... Cant imagine where u guys come up with this stuff... Apparently my monkey diving needs some work...
Also prey would you be kind enough to host our game tonight?? Still no word from aza and we will probably need a server...
@Bolo I can host. MP if you don't mind playing under a PS: Rubes vs Shell Shocker game name. The server will be up about 6:30 PST. We have the late game at 7:30.
Baabaa, it looks like RX should host tonight. Sorry to say, it looks like your time has passed, though .
We're fueled up and got you in our sights!
Thanks Prey. We very well may take you up on the offer.
Tx prey.. See ya there
The Steel Corset will be un-sprung. Oooh, you guys will look so sexy that way... :)

@JB - seems the server will be up at 6:30, but our game is not til 7:30
Thanks to Prey for graciously donating server time for the Corset/Clonus round. We should start the game as soon after 6:30 as possible so we can get outta there for the Rubes/ShellShockers.
@Corset/Clonus members: As Prey noted above, the server name will be Rubes vs. Shell Shockers & pass should be the same.
Rumors of an unsprung Corset are greatly exaggerated. We needed to install a winch on Sizicus' tank in game 2 to cinch down the drawstrings, but I'm sure that in time the Clones will grow to appreciate their waspier waists ;) I think I read somewhere that the pain doesn't last too long...
Game 1 saw the Corset in da zone & with a good combination of teamwork & TG flashing her heels at the Clones to provide some distraction. 13 - 7 was the outcome in favor of the Corset.
Something in the Clones' mind clicked in game 2 & it was all we could do to not let that 6 pt cushion get deflated all the way. Game 2 score was 14 - 12 clones & I think they led the whole time. Especially great D by the Clones in that one. In fact, Bak gets my MVP vote for the constant harrassment he dished out. Thought that even though he wasn't high scorer he was layin down some great defense & was an assett to his team.

No haggis tonight! The Black Sheep and The Horde went at it and the Sheep came away with a win, 25 - 11. Screen shots are in the other thread.
Game 1 : 17 - 4
A lopsided victory for the Sheep. Spawns and bounces went our way. We started out 2 on 3 (captain BaaaBaaa went in search of a wandering member of the herd) and still took a small lead (remember the spawns and bounces I mentioned). Baba returned within a couple of minutes and played until our 4th joined and Baba dropped out right away (his week to sit). The player change caused some momentary confusion but nothing compared to what Mystery Man felt when he saw the scrum running on it's own! No one else reported this mentioned this issue and MM didn't get a screen shot. He was able to see Hugo in Game 2 and during the post match chat. Has anyone else experienced this problem w/ HB or any other player?
Game 2 : 8 - 7
A much better game with spawns evening out and both sides getting freebies. There were several ties and a couple of lead changes in this game. A late goal by Hugobraaain (who everyone could see) was the difference in the game.
Good games everyone.
Damn,
The Clones were looking to glimse a little skin, but alas, The Corset stitching was indeed made of steel. I think if Sluggy had been there, his gut may have sprung a stitch... But this was not the thrill the Clones were looking for.
As MP described, in game 2 the Clones got their minds out of the gutter and onto the game and managed to pull off a win.
Commmendable defense by Bak and Gerbil for both games.
Great game Corset... We'll see you on the red maps in April.

Way too tired for a sports commentary, tonight. Suffice it to say that the Rubes put a lot of holes in the armor of Shell Shockers. Az is still a no-show. A good game, but I won't miss the Spooky world anymore. I'll add that dj_breaka was a master of his gun! We spent most of the game just re-spawning from his kills. Individual scores and results are posted in the screenshot forum. Good Job, guys!

Well
I'm not even sure where to begin to recount the 2 games of Glamdring vs Host. Forget any play by plays or "highlights" It's all just a big BLUR at this point.
First game went down in the "Pit" Bowl. No-ones fav map, but eh. Glamdring pulled ahead early to a small lead. Eventually Host began to fight back fiercely. It was SERIOUS battle throughout the whole match. MAJOR carnage everywhere, with dead blown up tanks strewning the landscape. It required HUGE teamwork for either team to get even halfway across the map with the Scrum. Each team had a few of the obligatory "lucky" spawns that come with this map. In the end, Glamdring managed to maintain the lead and ended the game 10 - 7 Glamdring. Phew! A real fight to be sure!
Second game was in good ol' Greymatter Gorge! Flea and his team jumped on the first goal right off the bat! From there the lead changed a few times, but as the game wore on, Host started to pull away a little. There was serious threat of at least a tie coming into the final quarter. This was the most INTENSE game I've played yet. BATTLE BATTLE BATTLE!! All the way through. Goals were seriously hard fought! AMAZING teamwork on the part of both teams!
So game 2 ended with Host winning 11 -9. BUT, adding it all up, the final score was 19 - 18 Glamdring. A one point win. We all needed to break after to take a shower from sweating so profusely! Master TMO needed a hug (where's TG when you need her? ;) ), Tally needed some warm milk and a cookie or sumthin' like that, and Flea had to go get a drink. I felt like I was going to pass out!
These were some of the best games I've ever been in! My hats off to ALL team members on both sides for an incredibly well fought game. I'm not even sure who to name MVP. Everyone contributed greatly, and the games were so damn CLOSE!
Final scores:
Game 1
OM -- 5
KentuckyKillbily -- 1
JJ -- 3
Tally Ho -- 0
Fleabiscuit -- 3
Master TMO -- 4

Game 2
OM -- 7
KentuckyKillbily -- 2
JJ -- 0
Tally Ho -- 7
Fleabiscuit -- 1
Master TMO -- 3

Hmmm Tally! Hugo is teleporting again! Is that legal?
You can really read between the lines on Flea commentary.

<Shell Shockers Vs. Rubes summary:>
Rubes over Shell shockers 26 - 16. Prey sat out. No Aza. MVP = DJ. Great job rubes!!!!
</summary>
<blah blah>
-overall GREAT games. Score was pretty even in the first half of both games. The rubes pulled way ahead in the second half each game to victory!!
-everybody played really well on both teams.
-Shell shockers are not a shooting team and are all glad the spooky maps are over with!!!
-never had such a good game while getting my ass kicked
-server was good for everyone except rooks mentioned some lag but it is bound to happen. Thanks to prey for hosting.
-spawn gods favored nobody. Spawns favored rubes for a while then favored shockers. Wasnt really a factor at all. Almost no FB's
-great sportsmanship on both teams. No scrum diving or any hanky panky
-both teams played well together but the shockers had a hard time living long enough to pass :)
-first game was a non-goal bowl level. Not much cover and few arrows... Hard to drive backwards on!! I pulled off some goals but not enough...
-second game was the goal bowl and the shooters' advantage increased.
-Overall a well deserved win by the rubes for shooting the hell out of the shockers. Well done.
-DJ gets mvp for goals and for the best defense (aka shooting the hell outa us). Difficult to choose between dj and 44...
</blah blah>
@jb thanks for posting the screenies
@aca is that all u need?
@ prey is this report sufficient?

BTW I watched most of MM's game vs the sheep (he was on my lan). Hugo did do some weird shit. Dont get it??
-z- PLEASE mystery man needs a PTT account. He cannot post. PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!
<Begin>Thanks Bolo. Would not parse. Not well formed xml. Nice description</Begin>
Assman: if I can count on you to continue with the standings, let me know and I will refocus that section of my table.
At all: we need 8 names for another round of draft, the sooner the better. Email me. If you already have, resend please.
Our match was epic. More tomorrow.
HAMMER DROPS ON 4 on 4
Memo to everyone: The 4 on 4 option is out the window for 3 reasons:
A. Attempts to have 4 on 4 games have thus far failed.
B. Servers open to more than 6 have allowed for the possibility and presence of confusion.
C. 3 on 3 is working out just fine.
I recommend that everyone hosting cap their servers at 6.
@ tally.... So what about my aza replacement?? Actually will need another for when JB leaves for duty later this season...
Yep , I got all I need for the stats Bolo.
Tally - I've got the stats covered for you no problem.
-ACA
Hey,
Would you guys be interested in expanding the stats collection for season 6?... Assuming that someone will host a season 6 that is... Tally...
I was thinking it may be interesting to record individual player stats on a separate chart for an end of season release. It could be released in conjuction with an MPV result list as Tally has planned for this season.
Just testing the waters....
-ACA
@ Tally - I may have to request a replacement for Sniper on our team. He was at the first game, but none after that, and I've had no success in getting a status confirmation via e-mail. Baklava will be on vacation for the 3/15/04 and 3/18/04 games, so we'll be short handed lest we get the OK to search out a replacement.
Snipe, let us know if you get this messsage - I know you're proabably in Design la la land with your business, but just drop a line to confirm status.
-ACA
@Racer445- Game times are scheduled for 7:00 PM and 7:30 PM PST . That turns out to be 10 and 10:30 PM EST , so, if you can't play after 9 Eastern, I'm afraid it won't work out. Sorry. :(
OM
@Tally-
One correction is needed on your chart Tal. You have Glamdring listed as having 8 points, but in fact we have 7. Two wins and one tie. I wish we had 8. %) But we'll have more than 8 after Thursday. :)
OM
Baaaaa
I think not....GLAMDRING!!!
Racer, I would be looking for a serious sub to be able to show up consistently, so if starting a game 10:00 - 10:30 EST is iffy for you....I may think twice. As always, I'll defer my better judgement to the one who holds the hammer, Tally Mo.
-ACA
Baaaaaaa
Exactly.

[false_surprised] What? Mee? Teleporting? I wouldn't shouldn't couldn't do that! 8o [back_to_natural]

<4on4>We could actually play 4 on 4 Thursday. Haven't since game one</4on4>

Yeah Tally, PREY's team and mine had a successful 4 on 4 in our first match of the season. Was quite a good set of games too. We'll listen to what you decree, but I wonder if dropping the hammer on that was a bit premature.
OM
Tally,
It's now official. Due to heavy workload and new home purchase, Snipe will be dropping the League (for this season) until he gets some more free time. Thursday will be his last game with us.
That said, could you advise how you'd like us to go about getting a replacement player on our team? You mentioned a draft system, but I didn't understand if you meant that all new players had to go through you via a draft, or can our team recruit a replacement on our own?
Please let me know soon, as there seem to be some people that are available and we'll need a new person by Monday's game.
Thanks,
-ACA
No player joins any team without going through the draft process.
Paraphrasal: find people that want to join the league, then they get chosen on to a team the same way everybody else has.
And make it snappy.
ACA, why not play with ACA.1? Or ACA.647 for that matter. Could it be that yer clones are a bit, hmmm, too slow in da head? ACA.duh (Bot)
[value_HO=Hammer/whine_some_more]We wAnT 4 x 4! WE WaNt 4 x 4! [if_viewer=HO/whine_louder.exe]
We Want 4 x 4! (repeat)
Hmmm, Nuts!

Soooo...., to clarify my brain completely, is there a date/ time when we can expect to have pic from the draft or will I be forced to flex my muscles when the Clones get into a 2 on 3 situation?
-ACA
P.S. Hugobrain... Whachit, I may just make a clone of your #$@ and use it for diabolical purposes... !!!
8(
I'd like to have the draft on saturday or sunday LATEST.
Understand past 4-4 problems , had my concerns about them before it all started....but still feel like if it is pre agreed by caps and all arrive in a timely manner at game time it should be an option.
.
Yet I bow in sheepish awe of his holiness the Commissioner.
.
So folks we have to recruit individually in order to draft collectively.
