@OM: Type this in the server console:
Quit();
With semicolon. That will close the server.
<sigh> 2 of my soldiers got injured during tank driving today. The downpour made it difficult to see the terrain. Gonna be a late night as I get through the paperwork and investigation, so my game-time will be short tonight. I should still be able to play the tourney Thursday, though.

Prey: check out the title schedule bar.
[q] indented start times indicate 730-745 start times [/q]
@JB - thanks for the tip! Works as expected.
PS- sorry to hear about your guys getting injured. I assume they weren't life threatening injuries?

Np.
One soldier just got a few stitches in his forehead from impact. He is already back on duty (hey, the soldiers are built like a tank, too). The other one managed to shatter his kneecap into 3 pieces. Poor guy's tanking days are probably over. Somebody explain to me why each tank is 1.2 million dollars, but they couldn't afford to put in some seatbelts. "Here, put on this helmet. That should do it."
-BombJames Bomb
Dang james, that sucks. Best to you cats.
TH, starting a collection for seat belts.
( don't laugh! We finally got 56 that fancy new modem.)
@JB - Man, that stinks! I've never busted my kneecap and hope I never will, but I can imagine how that hurts.
No seat belts, huh? Sounds like throwback thinking from the olden days of WWI when tanks went like 5 MPH or something. The way those suckers move today they should have seatbelts AND airbags!
*goes to put some money in TH's collection*
GAME #2: BAAAAA
Herds of female fans are going down to the big town to watch the Black Sheep trounce the hapless Host in tonight's PsychoScrum game. Anti-flea collar mandatory at the door.
*heh heh heh* Like lambs to the slaughter...
@ prey um.... Never mind
@ JB sorry to hear about that... Ill ask rooks to stand by in case u arent there.
@ aza can u please host??
@ shell shockers... Check ur email
@aca... We are confident in all maps. Goal bowl just isnt as fun. Lets just host a game = blue; and play what comes up
Should be 2 different maps out of the four that come up I think.
Good luck..ur gonna need it.
@Bolo What?
OK here is the thing. I was looking for roadkill cartoons. This, I had to share....
Er... Well, you look for steel corset images. All I found was porn.... And that Ebay sells Steel Corset's.
Yip!
There are so many things that could be wrongfully said about that picture that I don't know where to start.
- BombJames Bomb
Bolo, I guess you guys are hosting? Please email the PW so I can pass it on. Your ass is swiss... Cheese that is.
-ACA
The picture above shows Captain Baabaa rushing Hugobaarain to be slain on the battlefield... The latter having fled the Sheepling Training Camp for far away greener pastures... X/

@ all captains remember Tal sent out a pword for all servers. Sift through your emails.
Baba, whos your farmer friend?
Heh....where to start.
HELP WANTED: Looking for a full-time computer repair technician to oversee the proper functioning of Bolo and Azazel's computer systems. Must be on call 24-7 and be able to work under tight time constraints.
MISSING: Have you seen this man? Last seen in email and forums. Was expected to arrive in Psychoscrum Tournament. Goes by the alias of Bolo. If you have any information leading to this man, or if you ever see this man...promptly apply one boot to the head, and then lead the dazed man to the nearest Apple store.
Okay, I'm done venting. And now, back to the game!
SHELL SHOCKERS versus THE CLONUS HORROR
It was a 3on2 game with Rook$ and JamesBomb against Ass Clone Army, baklava, and gerbil of death. The Shell Shockers briefly started in the lead, but the odds became unsurmountable as Ass Clone Army started spewing clone after clone of baklavas. In the first game, JamesBomb did his best as runner while Rook$ flew in all directions to take out the onslaught of clones. Many times we scored, but the clones of Ass Clone Army kept piling the scrums into the goal as the baklava clones fired an obscene amount of bullets into our armor. In the end the score was 13-8 to the Clones.
The next game, it was STILL 3on2. (What? Me sore about this? Don't be ridiculous.) This time Rook$ turned into the friggin Hulk and started killing AND scoring. I did my best to keep up with him while he held the scrum in one hand and popped off the clones with the other. Sadly, we could not kill them as fast as the Ass could clone them. There is also the issue that my own server was granting me some really nasty spawns. Apparently my iMac is still sore about me moving the scanner to the eMac. In the end of round 2, the score was 16-9 to the Clones. Rook$ and I took out our frustration on the gerbil of death.
Final Stats:
=========================
Game 1: 13-8 Clonus Horror
Rook$ - 2
JamesBomb - 6
Ass Clone Army - 5
Baklava - 6
Gerbil of death - 2
=========================
Game 2: 16-9 Clonus Horror
Rook$ - 5
JamesBomb - 4
Ass Clone Army - 10
Baklava - 6
Gerbil of death - 0
=========================
My vote for MVP goes to Rook$. You need to teach me how to aim sometime.
Score Images are posted in the screenshot thread. Bolo, this is all in good fun, but what happened to ya, boss?

My sister is half a country away, and I'm not into that anyway...
The Horde vs. Glamdring: TIE! First match saw The Horde edging out Glamdring 11-10, with Glamdring returning the favor in the second game 10-9 for a 20-20 tie, dammit! My Horde-hat is off to Mystery Man for putting it in the goal at the last second in game two to preserve the tie! There were players with time constraints after the second game, so brief talk about tie-breaking was moot. Great games, guys! (screenies in that thread)

Nice game H/G, and btw, ties are enforced in the reg season; a point to both teams.
Last edited: Friday, February 27, 2004 at 2:22:33 AM
LMAO
Sadly, we could not kill them as fast as the Ass could clone them.
Yes, some good games tonight!
Would've been better if we had won, but nonetheless :)
BTW Ge0rge, nice screenie from the 1st match. Looks like a round is just about to peg you in the eye!! LOL!
OM
Oh, for my MVP vote, well, that's a tough call. I'm going with Dar. His 9 points thru both games helped ensure the tie. Though, as Ge0rge noted above, if not for MM's last score before the clock ticked down to 0, the Horde would've lost by 1 point. I personally think they both deserve it.

Black Sheep vs. Host
Final : 26-15 (screen shots in other thread)
After a short delay, the teams started out in the Spook Bowl. The Sheep were victorious 13 - 9 after a tough game. There were multiple lead changes early on but the Black Sheep slowly pulled away in the final few minutes. In Game 2, Captain Baaabaaa went on a stampede and lead his herd to victory, 13 - 6.
Unfortunately, the herd's victory was tainted by a common enemy. The Lag monster reared it's ugly head and harassed one of it's favorite targets, Flea. He played through it like the pro he is and didn't even mention it until after the match was over. Hopefully, the next match between our teams will be lag free (but with the same results ;) ).
Thanks to Reagent X for hosting even though it was his turn to sit out. Good games Host! Looking forward to the rematch.
Baaaaa
Bigass gold star to Mj and the gang for the accomodations.
Rubes vs. Da Steel Corset
Final Score: 23 - 18 Rubes
Very good round tonight against the Rubes, who are a force to be reckoned with. Both teams played very well, but the Rubes definitely had their team game down tonight. Lots of great passing & teamwork.
44 gets my vote for player of the game, as he seemed to be everywhere & was a constant threat throughout the match. At one point I was a yard away from the goal ready to score when he bounced off of me from who-knows-where, yanked the scrum from me & scored. Sneaky bastage!
MP
Finally this website is up so I can post. Looks like my MVP goes to -Rook$-. Wish I would have been there to see the mother #$*()& game. Slept right thru it!! Woke up really pissed off. Beg forgiveness..... Aza couldnt make it either so rooks and jb stood alone...Sob sob...perfect attendence in competition til this week. Damitdamitdamit.
JB pretty much summed it up. Clonus won by numbers. By unanimous vote, Rooks of the Shell Shockers was voted to be MVP of the game due to vigorous defensive playing and then scoring as well in the 2nd round.
For the TCH, this was a good comeback game and an opportunity to get our passing down as a team... No killer sheep to prevent us from cloning... Shell Shockers played excellently for being outgunned.
TCH looks forward to humiliating the Host on Monday.
-ACA
@ Flea: you made my day XD
Nice flea.
He did tell us to watch out for him, but the message didn't get through till midway through game two :).
Caught in the wool.
Finally, someone else knows of the Black Sheep horror the clones had to go through!!!! Thanks, Flea... Thought no one believed my tale of the tank eating ovines.

Shell Shockers, get ready for your monthly shear... XO
@ all,
A server will be running on game nights and various other evening starting @ 8:30 EST called 4.0 Not Prime Time .
The pass is the same as the game one but in lowercase.
This is not an official server, just voluntarily set up.
Maps will rotate between spooky, frantic, and the L one.
It is intended for mixed team play. That is, for players from various teams who want to play in teams between or slightly before prime time.
If you thought "mixed" meant hordes of foxy ladies would be there, sorry...

This just in from the Black Sheep Research & Development Department:
Although the true secrets of the device can only be unleashed in the battlefield, a new manual tank has been developed that can whoop ass without a server! Here we see Hugobrain heading into battle on the new device:
The Tank is powered by gaseous fumes from Sheep droppings and fires Sheep pellets at an alarming rate. Beware!

@Tally-
Got a question. If the game happens tonight, I noticed that on your chart, the 3rd and 4th matches (Horde vs Rubes, Steel Corset vs Glamdring) are not indented as they usually are. Formatting issue, or are we all scheduled for a 7:00 PST game? I'm hoping it's a formatting issue or I may not be able to make it.
Thanks,
OM
Reagent, WHERE did you get that picture! LMAO XD
Boy do I ever look MEAN . That pumps me. Beware, Shell Shakers ---> make sure you know where the emergency door is!

I should imagine it was a format glitch.
The Horde vs Rubes and Steel Corset vs Glamdring will be in the second time slot (7:30 - 7:45) after first game.
N'est pas?
SERVERS BACK ON!
Last edited: Monday, March 01, 2004 at 5:52:58 PM
@Flea, as of right now, I haven't heard back from JJ, so I don't know if he can host or not.
However, there is a possibility I can do it. Go ahead and look for someone else to host in the meantime, but in case that falls through, I should be back home in time to put up a server around 7 PM PST.
OM
After intense debate at the Black Sheep Technology And Research Division (BASTARD), further high-resolution documentation has been authorized for release. Details of the BAA communications code, however, MUST be kept secret for strategic reasons!
To be UNLEASHED in tonight's combat: The RAM TANK!

Horde'rves Mmmm!
Last edited: Monday, March 01, 2004 at 8:41:52 PM
WOOOOOOOOT
@ horde. Just talked to MM on the phone. Seems his grandfather fell ill and he doesnt know if he can make it tonight. I told him that since my game is at 7 and his 7:30 he could swing by here and play on my machine so he doesnt have to drive all the way home... That will only work if we start on time... Just FYI
[ I know the schedule is rather jacked in places ]
FYI MM cant make it
Shell shockers vs. Black sheep
Wow what great games... All ended in a tie!!! Not sure on the scores...
Shockers win game 1: 9 - 8
Sheep win game 2: 11 - 10
Very intense game. Good all around players on both teams. Everybody played really well. Nobody should be singled out. MVP is a hard decision. JB's goals put us in the lead constantly thru both games so he gets the title from us... No heros...it was a team effort.
Rubes vs The Horde
I like nothing about this game. The Horde played short handed 3 vs 2.
Rubes win game 1: 16 - 3
Rubes win game 2: 12 - 6
44 sat out. Thanks fo fo.
Glad to get it over, without trying to make it worse than it was. You can not succeed in 3 vs 2. MVP, will choose DJ.
Good sports Ge0rge and Sherm.

Glamdring vs. Th' Steel Corset Final:
Game 1
Glamdring: 6
Steel Corset: 6
Game 2
Glamdring: 7
Steel Corset: 18 (woot!)
Game 1 went down in the bowl o' death & saw the Corset with an early lead, only to watch that lead dwindle until the very end. A shootfest for sure!
Game 2 started with a bit of confusion regarding Sluggy the Observer looking on in post-mortem status. Once things were sorted out TG & Sizicus went to town & scored a combined 15 points! Once again TG shows her skillz on the scrum field & earned an MVP (er MVW?) vote from both captains.
Beware! The Corset draws tighter!!
Any thoughts on observers in the game? Should we allow them or players only? Unfortunately in this instance not everyone saw Sluggy's message that he was going to "snuff it" & not respawn, which caused some confusion with players who saw a 3 on 4 game going on at the beginning of game 2.
I think observers are fine as long as everyone is on the same page. In this case Ben didn't think he was going to be able to play game 2 so Sluggy was waiting in the wings for his departure. When Ben realized he could squeeze in the 2nd game the confusion began & took a minute to sort out. Don't think this situation would arise very often, but wondered what others think about it.
MP
The divine -z- had a script for observer. I think you turned in an UFO and hover around watching the melee.
I'm all in favor of observers. I quite like myself sitting there looking at the game.
