I agree but not fully OM. I made an attempt to sidetrack everyone with some humour, but that obviously did not work. Yes, the Scrum League has a much better system for dealing with this junk. I'm actually really enjoying the league. Here we just have a bunch of non-stop finger pointing. I maded a huge mistake by even bringing up the attempted trickery that happened in the Zombies game. Although, we learned from last year that one bad apple can indeed spoil the bunch. So in my half-drunken stupidity felt obligated to stop it right then. What's really funny is that we were worried about kids causing problems. We should have been more worried about the adults. I don't agree with the whole maturity issue. We have several dozen players who are, to say the least, very upstanding. I've been in many a scrum game where the idiocy is on a par with what we have here. The major difference between the two genres is that there are currently at least 3x as many BMers than Scrummers. Hence, making a BM game much more difficult to manage.

The next season I'm quite sure will be much improved. If it is not, I'm sure a lot of us will not return.

Just wanted to drop a note to everyone saying how much I enjoyed the league. This was the first time I have played anything in an online community and I really enjoyed not only the game but the personalities I came across (for the most part anyway). I know not everything went smoothly but as a part of the slicerz I saw only good competition and sportsmanship from all of you. So thanks go out to everyone and I hope that I will see most of you again.

To the three of you I have to give alot of thanks for your efforts and patience in maintaining the league and managing all of our egos. Lol. Your work is well appreciated and any issues that need correcting pale in comparison to the fun (dare I say) we all had. So thank you again.

Thanks for your leadership of the slicerz. Although we stumbled towards the end....when we were on we were definately a handful!!! That was alot of fun. I really enjoyed our team and look forward to playing again with you guys.

I do hope that I see alot of you back again (dash and om...im talking to you guys). The level of talent gathered in the tbml far exceeds the level of play that can be found in the lair nowadays. It would be a shame to lose players such as yourselves to the issues that have occurred recently. I know tempers can flair and emotions run high in the heat of battle but hopefully with a short break you will find yourselves ready to make another go of it. Well thats all from me....just wanted to get that in before z locks the thread. Thanks again everyone and until the next season I will see you in the lair or the bash.

Well, well...Crow, you're such a devious liar....amazing!

The facts are stubborn things Crow:

1. I never agreed to play the 2nd game on Lep's server, even when I went in the Lair by myself to talk to you guys. (there were 5 rats in that server, is there one rat left with some sense of morality and confirm this please)

2. When I went in the Lair, the rats were waiting and insisting for us to join so you could host both games, and you were in fact throwing your usual nice vocabulary at me as I was only pointing out that there's no reason the Rats should host their own games. (again, there's gotta be a rat who can confirm this)

3. When you finally joined Chanman's server (neutral) you were again provocative and insulting - though you were not the only rat to do this.

So,

The lie about #3, I'm not worried about since all the desperados have witnessed your conduct. It does prove with certainty that you're a liar and I dont think any of my team will take your account of what happened when I went in the lair seriousy. I have never duped anyone.

Crow, you're putting a lot of effort into discrediting me, but you're in fact wasting your time as the vast majority of league players know you're far from a reliable source of information.

You have achieved one thing though I think, and it's discrediting yourself. We all knew you were foul mouthed and abusing other players, we now know you're dishonest and have no sense of decency.

The real question is: Why is Crow allowed in the league ?

Yes ROGUE, I kind of agree. It was perhaps, ironically, a little immature of me to make that maturity jab they way I did. I guess I was just getting a little disgusted of some of the insults being thrown around on this forum, and some of the incidents that occurred during the season.

Overall, I know that most of the players in this league are good folk. I certainly enjoyed playing with all of my fellow Zombies, as well as quite a few players on other teams. Still, I think the very nature of Battlemode seems to bring out the angry side in players. It makes sense, if you think about it. BM is about killing each other for the simple sake of making kills. In scrum the attitude is different. You don't just kill indiscriminately. It's more a means to a goal.

Anyway, I just hope for all of your sakes, and the games, that the bad apples and troublemaking whiners can be weeded out as the league progresses.

@dorko- Thanks for the kind words. I enjoyed playing against you in the one or two matches we were in. You're a good player and seem like a good person too. For what it's worth, I'm not dropping from the league because of the unfortunate events that occurred during the season. That wouldn't be enough to drive me away. I'm dropping out for entirely unrelated reasons, namely personal issues, and lack of time to commit to a league and team. I already explained to the Zombies that I wouldn't feel right taking up a spot on the roster if I couldn't make most of the games. So, that's why. Not because of crap going on.

@All- Good luck to anyone continuing on for the next season. I'd like to take just a moment to thank LC50 and Leopard for doing so much to keep the league going and keeping it interesting. My thanks especially to LC for recruiting me and giving me a chance to use some of my old battlemode skills once again. Thanks also to the rest of the Zombies for being such as great team to be associated with.

I will still keep tabs on what's happening in this league even though I won't be playing. Here's hoping the next season is fantastic for everyone!

Now, this issue about trying to work out a solution after our game. Well, again here are the facts that speak for themselves:

1. The Rats were disingenuous in trying to host the 2 games

2. The Rats lost their 1st game on a neutral server

3. The Rats left the server under the false pretense that we had agreed to do so.

4. The Rats were abusive and insulting

The outcome of this event shouldn't have been complicated to decide.

1. Rats lost the game.

2. Rats get sanctionned for their unacceptable behavior.

In place, we were going toward a rematch, which would have been extremely unpleasant under the circumstances. Moreover, it would have rewarded the Rats with a second chance to be part of finals, instead of being sanctionned. This would have sent the wrong message and we felt it was about time players start behaving responsibly. So we quit.

We can now witness the side effects of not taking the right action by reading this thread, full of nonsense with jerks emboldened and maintaining their smutty and filthy talk.

I don't think you made a mistake bringing up this problem. You were right in the end, since Kid was in fact FL and this player cant just be recruited by a team like any other player. Now, I know you dont believe me on this, but I didn't know it was FL. But I dont think you were 100% sure either - anyway, if Kid fooled, me, Apollo, Supra, Dash, Infinite Monkey, Bedo...it means that it's hard to be 100% sure. So lets say that you had a hunch, good...let me tell you this: Had you come to us and say:

"Hey guys, good game, but really I think this guy is FL. I dont wanna say that you cheated, but maybe we could try a little harder to find out who this kid really is."

Well, we would have discovered the truth just the same, and you can be sure that we would have insisted in replaying this game.

I also understand that, being convinced that we did pull a trickery on you, you were angry. Unfortunately, when bad language starts flying around, bad feelings and resentement takes over and nothing good comes out of it.

The truth about this affair is that we got tricked by FL who tried to find a way into the league that has banned this 14 years old for less than obvious reasons.

Hey, let's see how long we can keep this up....my it's fun. Does anyone else wonder if Stan has job? His posts are numerous and long-winded! Of course, the same could be said for Crow ;)

I just thought of a new word: instead of the "shenanigans" the happened, let's just call them "Stan-anigans"...it's all inclusive!!! No need to elaborate...just say "Stan-anigans!" Can we drop this now? Stan...refill your meds before it's too late ;) No one is going to change their opinion, so let's just move on.

Great season all! There were some great games and loads of fun. Well done to all teams! :)

Thanks to all captains who participated and all players who played.

There are already in the works rule adjustments to deal with some of the aforementioned issues. Once they have been finished, they will be posted in a new thread for comment and suggestion. There have already been some good suggestions here. Thanks!

As has been said before by other players, this back and forth bashing of people needs to end. Can we move beyond the personal attacks of others? Lets close this thing down by not posting anymore garbage that is insulting and rude to another person. If you need to continue, maybe try emailing people the insults... :'(

But, I'd rather think we can all be above that.... ;)

Stan I don't need to discredit you. It's done, you're out. Everyone knows the truth. You are only trying to convince yourself that the lies you are trying to tell are true. We know man we were there and the decision has already been made. You are out! It wasn't my decision but I do support it. You are lying about the cursing, you are lying about us trying to host both games. True Leopard thought at first we were hosting both games but not to be unfair, simply because he had not heard otherwise. When you wanted to host one game that was fine. It is what we have done in every other league match. All you were doing when you came in to our server is yelling shut up at everyone and demanding that we play both games on 'the server of your choice', or you and your team were walking. You were trying to quit even before the game started. We then wanted to host just the first game and still you cried about that, so we gave you your way and said if the server has no lag then we will play both games there but if there is lag we will come back and have Leopard host the second game. I did not use any foul language during any league game you just want to spin it that way so you can play your games. Well everyone knows you too well for that crap. You are busted!

What I would like to know is if you have so many points to argue why didn't you discuss them that night like a grown man? Instead you took your toys and went home like a baby!

You are the one who started the whole thing off accusing leopard of having a fixed server and calling us cheaters. You only got called a cheater in return for your own comments.

Stan you can post all you want cause you know what? Your opinion no longer matters. You are not a league player anymore, you don't count, you are nothing, and it was all your choice.

The only proof everyone in charge of things needs Stan is that you are still trying to lie about not knowing that projects was fatlips. You got busted! They know! They have proof! Stupid! You should have been kicked out then. If they had taken my suggestion and atleast made someone else captain of your team, we wouldn't have had any problems with the last game. You cost your team an entire season of work becuase you have to try to cheat to win. When you saw that wasn't going to work you wanted to spoil it for players on other teams as well. Well you got half your wish. You screwed over your teammates good.

Sorry if any of my posts upset anyone but I don't appreciate the lies that certain people tried to spread about me. There was a concerted effort made to get the Rats disqualified and when that didn't work they tried to settle with just getting me disqualified. I wish I had a screen recorder so I could show you all the truth of what happened but I don't. You are all grown people, if you want to know the truth I'm sure you can figure it out for yourselves if you try hard enough. I don't blame you if you don't care though cause it's all pretty mute at this point anyway.

@crow and prof. You used foul language in a league game. You should have been penalized, nothing personal. Your recollection of events differs from mine. Next time I will log the game for playback and you should too. I think we should move along now and forget it.

BTW crow there is a way to log games and play them back as video, found it a few days ago. Execute thintanks from the command prompt

People its over and done.....it seems that there were wrongs commited by multiple people. Lets just move on.

Its too bad many of the best BMers are assholes. I hope the next season will have strict rules about conduct and be ENFORCED.

Its a shame that OM, LC, and Shrike cannot be zombies next season. I really like all my teammates. There are many of you that I REFUSE to be on a team with. Hopefully the zombies will continue to draft only mature players.

I am a captain of the scrum league. Last season I was totally SCREWED by the league and my players. I bitched but I never took to insulting people. I played the games with the team I had and just lost most of the time. THIS IS SUPPOSED TO BE FUN. Its not about who is better. If it was then all the best players would be on the same team. It is designed to be competitive. Lets all be good sports.

BTW I see no reason why Hoosane/Fatlips and Demo(newbie) cannot play in the leagues. It seems there are much worse attitudes here than them.

So, this is your BIG proof huh ?....WHoever you are sherlock, I dont recommend you to switch carreer and become a detective.

These screen shots were taken on my server, open to all and I had nothing to hide. FL had already confessed to me who the Kid was and I was talking to Hoosane and FL a few days later. I was saying to Hoosane who appologized for his behavior that his appology is worthless if he keeps doing it. And I was just telling FL that his trick might have worked if he hadn't scored so high.

Had I planned this whole thing , I would have told him this before the game. Just think about it Sherlock for a sec.

Moreover, if someone had snooped on a private conversation between me and FL discussing the false identity issue, is that all the screen shots that person could take. One would think that more complleing evidence could have easily been found if I had been involved in it. The very fact that nothing more than these meaningless chat lines were found is, in and of itself, proof that I wasn't in the trickery.

When we were wondering who the Kid was, I tried my best to know. I even asked him for his phone # so I could call him. The Kid said that he's not allowed to give it out. It's understandable but I didn't like it and I remember telling a few people about it. (I think supra was part of it). I even said "I'll ask him again, if he doesn't give it to me, he's out"

After our game with the zombies, I tried as hard as the others to find out the truth by asking him embarassing questions. Would I have done this if I was mixed up in it ?

While still in the zombies game server after the match, I pulled Kid aside on my server to ask him to tell me honestly who he was. He kept assuring me he was a kid from NY. We both came back to the zombies game server and more questions were flown at Kid. I even came up with questionning about any major supermarket around his brooklyn area. The kid was incapable of naming real ones. Wouldn't have had made sure he could answer the question I was about to ask him once back in the server with Rogue, Supra, Dash and all ?

Now this is real evidence, Sherlock.

Anyway, I can understand that if some people will just straight out lie just to discredit me, that they would do wonders with a couple of worthless screen shots.

I totally agree with you. If Crow, Rogue and Prof are in the league I see no reason not to allow FL and Hoosane. Alt is another matter, even though Crow is not too far behind.

Stan I don't think you realize that I chat with many of our league players on a personal level through IM. They know me, so you can stop the silly slanderous yapping. Might I add, that I chat with adults not minors. I admitted to calling you and you only a piece of S. That's the only time I have ever attacked anyone since I have bought the game. You got caught. Has anyone looked into a lag solution? I'm gonna work on incorporating the scrum league and this league together. I hope that we and they inkind can have multiple servers to choose from. This will give us all the opportunity to select the best server for both teams. I hope.

Guys I didnt mention any names....please dont put words into my mouth...the leagues are for skilled, committed, and mature players...it appears some of us dont fit into one category or another.

The leagues gives us a chance to play with some really fantastic players and get involved in something. Its for fun people...if it wasnt do u think quitter would have stayed with it?

Im new to the BM leagues but in the scrum leagues u get to know the other members more. It gives u additional people to say SUP to in the games, more people to kill the assholes that lurk around...

Leagues are a positive purpose. Lets make friends instead of more enemies. There are enough morons in the game as it is. We dont need any more.

Look man the Scrum League doesn't have any moral high ground here. I'll tell you what you put Stan, Hoosane, Alt, and Fatlips in the Scrum league and see if you don't have to put up with the same crap. I take alot of heat because I'm not afraid to say what others won't. With the exception of Hoosane who I've rarely played, Stan, Alt, and Fatlips have been dealt enough woopings by me to make them pay for all the crap they've tried to start. You see the only way to beat them is to do it at their own game. So yes I'm boisterous, crude, and I stick my neck out where others won't. You seem to be pretty outspoken yourself. Put these players in the scrum league and see if you don't have some choice words to say also. When they start killing their own team like Hoosane and Fatlips did last season, and screw up everything you've worked weeks for, your tune will change.
