@ All Host
BH were unable to get a hold of our normal Host tonight.
Can any Host out there Host for us tonight ?
If so please make sure your name is listed on the server list,
so I know what admin to use.
Thank you !
@ All
Good luck tonight.
Thanks for another great season :P
Splitsville for EDS vs Locos....alas, we await our fate. GO BUGS!!!
Split ctb and bug
Playoffs: ctb, mut, loc, bug
B
LC, you're a riot :)
Thanks to everyone for an outrageously fun season!
Rx, when can we pick up the trophy?
Waaaaaaaa? The season is over?
Hamsters squashed, 10-3, 11-6.
Go ahead and list me as a possible Captain for PSL XI. If one retires or drops out, I am willing to step up. I will probably regret this impulse, but my team may regret it even more. XD
Hamsters much hamstrung this season by not having a hoster of our own. Never had Home Field Lag advantage, where you play constantly on a single server and are used to how it feels. Even when playing at home, it was on someone else's server, and behaved differently from last time we were there.
:'(... ;)
Last season was too easy and kind of boring. So to make it interesting I challenged the Seeds to squeak into the finals with the smallest margin possible.
Good job Seeds. Let the domination commence.

Need a locos/eds score.
On to the finals.
Oh sweet we get to play versus bolo's old friend. This is going to be interesting.... :P
Chart's gone crazy.
See yah folks. I've no interest in a PSL Summer event. Take care. See you in the fall?
Oh, GJ mgmt of PSL. Other than the lag,..Well, I still hate all of you, especially KKB.
Good day. :)
P.S. I'm going on a fishing trip by myself. I'm so fired up. Just me and the charter boat captain I've been using for the past five years. Anyone for Mahi? Still can't believe the wife booked it for me as a surprise. I may go the extra mile next time we decide to get... Well, I'll add 15 seconds or so.
Like a midget at a urinal, I was going to have to be on my toes.
Invite a retard to a picnic and you'd better expect to get drool in the potato salad.

Have a good trip! ::wonder why Rogue's wife sent him away so eagerly...::
have you talked to your mailman lately?
XD
First game to the eds 10-7
Second game Locos 11-6
Knock, knock... Mrs. Rogue? Yes, my name is ACA... I understand your husband is away for the week. Oh, me? I'm doing fine. Why, that is one nice dress you are wearing.... B)
^ You bad boy! Preying on your Online friends. Come here so that I can set yah straight.... ;)
Ps ask miss Rogue to play the scrum game with you, she wears the dress and the rings like goal....Unbelievable!
If Rouge would only give his 3 on 3 teammates the xtra 15 minutes. Too bad he's romancing his charter captain.

^^^ Sounds more like a BrokeBack Mountain thing Rogue. "Just me and the Captain I've been seeing for the past 5 years."
Don't forget to check your hook for notes, and bring home some store-bought fish. Your wife will never suspect anything.

Heh. You've never had lovin' till you've been 20 miles out at sea on a small dingy with a 6 foot 2 Bahamian. I'll be in Nassau. Take care of my wife for me.

Is that a 6 foot 2 male or female?
Those Bohemians are a lot of fun.
Great season all!
It was fun. Good luck to you final four. Back to day-jobs for the rest of us...

Good luck everyone. Sorry Billies for being MIA the most of the season, but I didnt plan on starting a new job.
@ ROGUE, I hate you more. How about going fishing with a 6'2" , 220# Kentucky red neck? Can you say. "Sooooouuuuey!!! Here pig pig pig!" I'll show you how to squeal and that's for real. Have fun fishing and catch something besides a buzz, will ya?
Good job Tally, Rx and everyone else for a job well done. It's been a great ride since season 2 for me but I think the sun is setting on this Hillbilly. I sorely miss the games , but life goes on. Hopefully I will have time to play this summer.
Good luck y'all and cyas later!!! KKB XD
Would your wife really want to come with me KKB? Hehehe. That was an easy one.
Like a midget at a urinal, I was going to have to be on my toes.

Hmmm seasons over again a little to soon. Just want to say thanks to my west coast lovers Rx and Ho, gj with a thankless job. Also want to say that it was great playing with the Eds this season and thanks for puting up with my constant....you know.
@ ROGUE
Yes tell the wife her snickers is coming.
@KKB
Get back here leeroy, the game is calling. FYI, will be in Siesta Key in mid may, you?
I am interested in rolling the tape for the finals (like I did in PSL7 ). Something to think about in advance. If the final 2 teams are up for it, I propose that the final rosters all meet up on the game server a day early for a lag check. I would film the game from observer mode and is unlikely to add significant lag. Think about it. A moment in history captured for the ages. The glory! If the game is good, I can burn DVD's. :)

You're on if we get there.
I approve of anything Rx want to do. EVER! XD
Howdy Nuts. I will be in Siesta Key late June for 2 weeks. Where will you be staying? Our condo is at Pepper Tree which is on Midnight Pass, approxamately one half mile north of Stickney Point ( where the draw bridge is). It would be cool if we could meet up there sometime. I usually go at least once a year.
Hope you and your family have a fun and safe trip.
Yeeeehaw!!! KKB
Bummer, will just be down there around mid May. Ours is at Tivoli, little north of public beach towards town. Can't wait to walk the beach and look at all the old men in speedos! (yes wife may read...)
OK Ladies and Gentlemen:
In case your mind tends to reduce to putty in the heat of battle, just a reminder that the playoff scoring is a wee bit different. Actually each game gets scored the exact same as in the regular season. HOWEVER, after 2 games are played, the match cannot end if the teams are tied. In the case of a tie after 2 games, a 3rd game is played. If that game is a tie, then a 4th is played, and so on. (The record is a 4-gamer in PSL 7).
From the rules page:
During the playoff matches, the teams cannot tie. Thus a minimum of 2 games are played using the same match scoring system described above. In the event of a tie after the first 2 games (e.g. Tie followed by another Tie, or a Win-Loss followed by Loss-Win) then a 3rd game is played. Additional games are played until a team has more points than the other. For example, if Team A wins Game 1 and Game 2 is a Tie, Team A wins the match (final score of 3 to 1).
Also an issue I think unresolved is whether or not the Averaging script work for Linux. I know for a fact that the Mac version works (on Macs), but can people chime in if they know for sure whether the Linux/Windows version works? As I recall from some games during the season, it doesn't work. Is there a simple fix?
The Averager script works in linux/windows. However, it is an older version. It just averages all the players and spawns there. So, if you have a team that camps, guess were the scrum goes? Or if you see most of your team near the goal and your by a cliff across the map, hmmm. Plus on some small maps if the "average" was by a cliff you would get a loop going of spawns until everyone moved to the center (not to many people willing to do that in game). I think Sluggy did update the averager, but only for macs, to take care of these problems. I have never had the source, so have never been able to tweak. Even if I did have the source not sure if I could, dashy prolly could.
For the record, I think the playoff system should be first team to 2 wins, flat out. A tied game followed by a deciding game is a soft, charmin-style way to advance in the playoffs. One (1) win to advance? Ghastly.

LC50 s Pregame Preview, brought to you by Magic 8 Ball
Final Four
The teams:
Seeds (4th place): The Seeds have had an up-and-down season, with attendance and lag issues from time to time, but managed to squeeze into the Final Four. They need to pull off big wins in order to post a 2nd consecutive PSL championship.
Bugs (3rd place): Expansion-team Bugs really gelled this season. One of the more consistent performers in the league, solid wins in the right games got them the #3 spot.
Locos (2nd place): The Locos were near unstoppable early this season, but the wind in their sails died after an impressive 10-game winning streak. They managed to coast into the final four with a few last-minute wins against the Hams and Eds.
Muts (1st place): The Muts took over where the Locos left off. After a lackluster start, the Muts finished the season with a 10-game winning streak of their own and steal the #1 spot by a comfortable margin.
LCs picks (48 for 84: 57% accuracy):
Seeds @ Muts : Clash of the Titans. Its always fun to watch Tally and Bolo go at it, and these two will be bringing their A games, no doubt. In regular season play, the teams are 2 and 2 against each other, with games usually decided by large point margins. Case in point, a 14-point blowout in Week 11. The Seeds want the PSL crown back, but the Muts will deny. Way back in Week 5, the Magic 8 Ball picked the Muts as champs, and that still seems like a solid bet for me. Still, a few close games, with an expected Game 3 due to the Seeds tendency to split matches. Muts go the distance. Game 1: Muts by 5. Game 2: Seeds by 1. Game 3: Muts by 3.
Bugs @ Locos : The Bugs have soundly beaten the Locos all four games this season, with a comfortable 4-point margin in their closest game. The Locos are a solid group of vets, however, and their seasoned experience in the playoffs and as past PSL champs will serve them well. Although the home team Locos will keep it close, expect them to yield to the upstart Bugs by 2 and 5.
Magic 8 Ball
Question of the Week
Will the Bugs upset the Locos?
Magic 8 Balls Answer:
Most likely.
We'll it looks like it's not the Locos day. Dar and KJ can't make the game tonight, Memphis had to leave town, and I have been since from 6 p.m. Yesterday.
We have no choice but to forfeit the game, unless Bugs want to give us another day to take em on. Really sorry about this.

^ Can fill in if needed ;)
The Darkest Knife Ever!
This is where a shooting team gets stripped of their guns by all pinging over 100. Combine that with a frantic map, lag steals, and mut getting 75% of the new flags. You now have the formula for wasting the ctb's.
Congrats mut!!
Edit: GO BUGS!!

Well, twas a good season for the locos, but alas, its now over. Bugs by 1 and 1. Thanks for all the fun Locos, and to everyone else. BB next season to wipe those grins off the Bugs! XD
I just wanted to thank the Bugs for going to great legnths to get this game played. The whole team was exceptionally patient. I wish it were under better circumstances. I thought for a minute we might win one. Congrats to the Bugs!
You guys put up a great fight, Nap. Those games were very close and could have gone either way. Kudos to you and the Locos for leading the pack most of the season -- you set the benchmark for the rest of us.
