Welcome to PsychoScrum 11!

PsychoScrum League: a place for skilled, mature scrummers to get together and play intense, fair and fun competitive games.

ALL PLAYERS NEED TO ADJUST YOUR TT SETTINGS!
After some considerable research, we feel that we have an opportunity to reduce lag in our games by adjusting the settings in your game/client/prefs.cs file. This needs to be done by all PSL11 players! In addition, all hosters need to make this change in the hosting application as well.

NUTS! Has provided a concise tutorial here . The whole thing will take you only a minute or two. E-mail us if you have questions!

Many thanks to NUTS!, Blind Cide & dash for all the work that went into this. These settings will allow data to be transferred faster, but only if all of us make the changes.

Season Begins: Wednesday, September 20th at 7 pm or 7:30 pm (PST)

Commisioner: Reagent X
Vice-Commissioner: NUTS!

***

PSL11_Map_Pack: All of the mission files for hosters are here . Players do not need this because all of the terrain files you need are already in the TT_Mod_Pack or the mod_pack updates folders. Those are available at www.reagentx.com .

Players will need to get Napalm's Expansion pack to get into some of the maps.

Rules from PSLX here
These will be modified to prevent players from hosting and playing on the same machine, and will also include special hosting/server parameters.
We will not be using the averaging script this season, since it does not work equally on all operating systems (at this point in time).

This season is dedicated to the memory of our fallen mate: C*N*DI*N B*D*SS.

I've got a fever, and the only prescription, is more cowbell.

It looks like we might be playing the play-offs via IP Joiner if the servers don't come back up. I wonder if this will throw off LC50's eight-ball prediction? :o

^ If we do need to use IP Joiner, would someone kindly link to friendly instructions for using it?

Good luck with IP joiner and the Mac. I'm never quite sure what I've done to make it work when I finally get it to work.

Wednesday, January 03, 2007 at 4:24:19 AM

Oh Man, this is a real pisser. IP joiner works with Macs, but I don't have time today to post a tutorial. If someone wants to post please go ahead. Otherwise we may have to postpone the playoff match until next week.

Let's still plan to show up at game time, as the server may be up by then.

PTT is also so slow to load pages - it is really annoying! 8(

Servers are back up as of 0900 pst.
For how long....?

I tried the ip joiner last night and was not even able to get that enter ip screen to come up.
Seems I had made it work before once. But my memory fails me as to the details to work it now.
Yes a detailed tiutorial would be worth posting somewhere on ptt.

Great games Fruits!
Great season to all and good luck in the finals Porkers and Fruits.
May the second best team win! Since the best team just lost tonight %)

Also many thanks Commish RX,
Assistant map chooser NUTS,
dash and Blind Cide for consistent server hosting.

Most of all thanks to Magenta and all the Magneto's for a great season.

Pork 'N Beans beats the Super S'mores in 2.
Fruity Tanks beats Magenta's Magnetos in 2.

So next week'sFinals Matchup: Pork 'N Beans vs. Fruity Tanks

The Final Championship game will be held on B*D*SS B*DL*NDS in honor of C*N*DI*N B*D*SS. All players should already have this map because it has been in the Mod_Pack update for quite awhile. The mission file is being sent out tonight to Blind Cide and Dash for hosting. Hopefully BC can set up a server with this map so you can have a week to get used to it.

I also want to send out a big THANK YOU to Blind Cide and Dash, for putting up game servers every week. This really made for smooth sailing all season long. I think this was one of the smoothest-running season in recent history. Thanks to all the captains and all the players for making this a super-fun season.

Well done, Fruits!! They played a well executed game and deserve to be in the finals. Thanks to my teammates and to those mentioned above for their time and effort in organizing this fun season.

The finals map is up for perusal.

I'd like to thank my team for being such good sports despite my crappy captaining. Thanks to NUTS for pushing the advanced network settings. Complaints about network and server lag were few. Thanks to dash for the 2/3 of the bandwidth we played on every week and the codes that make league go smoothly. And thanks to Reagent X for titrating PSL successfully. :)
