LEAGUE BUSINESS FEB 3
a. If the answer to your question is stated in the recurring post at top and you ask it anyway, the odds that your next three questions will be answered enter the asymptotical approach to zero.
b. No more than 5 people per team should be on a server at once, one of which must be an observer, marked as such, or not be there at all.
c. Games begin when the clock ticks down to zero and the server flips. No more diving. This is why it is essential that teams show up on time, it not EARLY (Early meaning *not late,* maybe even a few minutes before the minute the game is scheduled to start.")

POST-SEASON NEWS:
Teams that finish in second (2) and third (3) place will vie on the 2nd place team's home court.

{{{{{ In the event of a tie at season's end, the team with the better head-to-head record will host the match. In the even the record is tied, the team with the better goals scored/allowed ratio will host the match }}}}}

Winner will play first place team in their house. Bring a bottle of wine for the chef.

Let the games begin!!!

Team Rosters

Score Board

Game Schedule

Each match consists of 2 games. Match scoring will be used like last season (W = 2 pts, L = 0 pts, T = 1 pt, W both games = 1 extra point).

Team Statistics

Observer Script for PSL

League Rules for Observer
1. A maximum of 2 observers is allowed per game.
2. Servers must not be set to more than 10 players.
3. The participation of any observers MUST be mutually agreed upon by both Team Captains prior to the start of the game.
4. Observers should be changed to RED color by the admin if possible, or the observer should modify their name to indicate they are observing (e.g. Tally Ho (Obs)).
5. Observers should not participate in any way during the game. This means no chatting!

Home Fields <----- Click for screenies of the maps.

Home games are to be played on your Home Field. In addition, each team playing on their Home Field should also host that game if possible. That way any 'advantage' to hosting one's own game will even out over the season.

Should we be setting up the PSL servers with 8 auto-replace bots in case there are no-shows?

Just wanted to say that corey and wiz were great sports. It was pretty much understood that going 4 on 2 would be just for fun and they rose to the challenge well despite the score. It was in fact 4 on 1 after about 2 mins as wiz lagged out. I would also like to point out that the 1st game was not fun at all. Me and my team mates took no pleasure out of it but I felt it better to respect our opponents choice to play rather than just call it quits. The 2nd game however (after I switched sides) was much more fun....even though my team went on to spank us again.

Anyway...big ups to corey and wiz for showing and playing w/out even a hint of complaint. I have much respect for the both of you.

wiz

Thanks get some. You're a good fellow.

As of the game, I was pretty sure that Corey and I would have beaten you Society guys too easily, so I just went out to have a cup of tea, giving you a short break and a chance to catch some air. XD Turned out I was wrong, miscalculated the whole thing... 8o

Very big match with baaa this week. A win for us means Home field in the finals. A loss, and things get, how you say, rather dicey.
Bring forth your poison shear I say.

Wednesday, March 23, 2005 at 12:40:22 AM

Something weird about the Fleas. They played really well this season.

Dammit! I'm itching again!

^ well, The Win just Didn't Flow tonite ! The first game ended in Tie with me at the Goal 3 milimeters away with scrum ! Second game just went Downhill from there... :(

Wednesday, March 23, 2005 at 8:21:02 PM

^ I was like "gogogogogogogo!" and could only see it on radar!

OK, charts updated! Please chack for errors.

This just in from the statistician: The Sheep and the WolfPack can still tie the Fleas for 1st place (technically :P )!

Man what a close battle for 2nd place! Remember, the top 3 teams go into post-season play.

I was diving in to try and stop you, but unless I got a really lucky round of shots into you, there was no way I could have stopped you from scoring that point. It was a Beautiful try though! I saw you shoot across my screen toward the goal and the whole game went into slow motion... %)

@ All
I just want to remind every one that in leagues, unsportsman like conduct and swearing is not allowed ! I was shocked by some of the comments made last night ! I will not mention names but I will say, next time some one wants to yell at a team mate and swear please use Team Chat so no one else has to deal with the swearing ! :(

^ I'll mention names - I did it. While I was "guilty" of the outburst, I took offense to a comment made by one of your mates. I found it "unsportsman like."

It was after that comment I lost my lid. He did not swear, but I was none the less offended. Wolf - we don't need you to police everything. Move to China if you like things that way.

One small outburst does not require you to go nuts, or make the above post. Learn to take things into perspective...there are a lot of grey areas out there. Your intolerance for anyting outside of white or black is mind boggling.

Thursday, March 24, 2005 at 2:53:37 PM

OK, I admit it. I pissed Prof off. After the 2nd game, one of his mates was swearing about the game( and I thought it was at us) so I let out a huge MUAHHAHAHA!! Then Prof proceded to tell me he was going to @#!$%... Whatever!! I immediately appologized to Prof and he responded, "unforgiven." I told him I was teasing and he did not take it well.

I really dont think most guys have a problem with my sportsmanship ( except for Bolo, and he hates everyone). Once again, Prof, I apologize. KKB ;)

Thursday, March 24, 2005 at 6:06:56 PM

@ ^ & ^^
This is the comment made during game 1 I think,

Kill that F*cker

have video of match if you want proof !
Those types of comments are not needed. I was not there for what was said after match but I did hear of somer of the comments you guys made towards us ! That were very unsportsman like ! I have yet to see video, so not sure if those were cought on video or not !

Its a game that your team lost, be men say," gga " like I did and leave it at that ! There is no need for swearing at all ! B)

Thursday, March 24, 2005 at 6:41:49 PM

^ play all the video you want. Am I supposed to care? Shiver in my skivvies? Crap happens. If a bad word flies here or there, so be it. If it is nonstop, that is a different story. Go give the video to Johnny Cochran. What I find most interesting is how big a deal you made out of this...just forget about it. Let sleeping dogs lie.

KKB - No problem. You just have to give me time to cool down.

Don't be a child LW...act your age (for a change). A good moderator/admin leaves a small footprint...not a glaring track for all to follow.

I hereby apologize for the few profane comments I made. I know none of you have heard those words, or so many times in that small time frame. Materiality folks, materiality. Pass further work.

Everyone take a breath!

Things happen in the heat of battle. Also things easily get mis-interpreted and blown out of proportion. All you folks are decent people who enjoy playing with and against the best. I am sure I am not the only one who gets pissed during an intense games when I perceive (or think I perceive) something stinky going on. I have found through personal experience it is usually best to keep one's inner thoughts to one's self until I cool down -- and to give people who vent for a second or two the benefit of the doubt.

We really need to be focusing on stopping the Fleas!

Thursday, March 24, 2005 at 11:02:29 PM

Last I checked, it was all adults in Nap's locked server. I probably spent too much time observing the free porno links, but I kinda like it when the professor talks dirty to us. ;)

...hard love. :)

I think it worked against the Prof anyway as we all four revealed after the game that we had given him extra attention.

Friday, March 25, 2005 at 3:24:51 AM

Here are my thoughts on this. There’s nothing wrong with expressing your self, especially if you just had your ass handed to you as Society did in game two against The Wolfpack.

Let’s look at both sides;

Does Wolfpack expect Society to be open to bantering after that game? I think not, The losing team is ALWAYS going to have someone who is pissed because the were juked, schooled, or simply out played. Or maybe the spawn gods have once again been bribed by the other team. Ya, shit happens. (Usually to me, damn it!)
Society should have expected some comment. Why? Well because then plan "B" should be invoked.

Personally I don't care how much you swear in a league game or in a team server. I feel each person needs to be responsible for each given situation. There are a few teams that have young players, and when those players are in the game, all players need to show reserve.

In situation where all players are adults, Whew, let it fly, AS LONG AS IT IS NOT A PERSONAL (first person) ATTACK.
Some of the funniest things come out in heated discussions.
I hope everyone is adult enough to realize the heat is over and none of it was personal, we just move on.

I agree with KBC, I wait ti hear the dirty talk from The Prof.
Keeps me twisted.

I say the 2 treams are disqualified. Or worse: they are moved to the 3x3 tournament and must face off as soon as possible (i.e. Before 2007). :P

Friday, March 25, 2005 at 9:49:29 AM

I must admit I swore as well at the end of game 2.

When everyone started saying "ggs", I said "BITE ME!!"

If I offended anyone with that remark, then I say "bite me!"

Tuesday, March 29, 2005 at 9:02:32 AM

Odd, That's not swearing my freind!

LOL

Tuesday, March 29, 2005 at 10:16:06 AM

Ahh the Irony.

It was just last season that roles were reversed a bit. It was the WolfPack that got there arses handed to them and we were the ones caught swearing. No the swearing didn't bother me, cause it wasn't directed at me.

Yes alway very nice to say "gg" and get a "bite me" back followed by a "chances are still slim for the wolfpack for post season". Hehe thanks!!!

Tuesday, March 29, 2005 at 10:55:06 AM

^ Good memory NUTS! I forgot I slipped that in there. I was just trying to put the devastating loss in perspective.

Get a good rest this week, you're going to need it. The Sheep aren't going to do you any favors. For now, I say BAAAAAA!!!

Wednesday, March 30, 2005 at 9:21:32 PM

Charts updated! Man I can't believe how tight the race for the post-season is!! We were the only team who could have at least tied the Fleas, but we threw that chance away tonight! :S There are still 5 teams that are fighting for 2 post-season slots: Sheep, WolfPack, Society, Killemall and Locos.

Every week I have been hoping against hope that teams wouldn't be tied so that my beautiful graph could show every team in all its glory. But, alas it is not to be!

WOW!!! My analysis never included this scenario. I'm not even going to attempt to workout the scenarios for next week. I think its great that the final week will still have meaning for the majority of teams.

P.S. Can Tally sit out next week as well?
