Main.cs problem... Send it to me
Art I went in to the tankdb.cs file and where it had ~/data/...../..... I changed to game/data/..../...... Now its working I think. The server starts up now but I never use admin script before how can I tell it working

For one boombooms server is useing dash codes I think....i dont know how to enable that stuff for acs script

I tried ACAS script. The games still running. The codes work but I type /adm PASSWORD(My own password) and the lag icon appears along with everything stopping. I'm waiting as I type this post if it ever works. What's wrong?
Does the admin script only work on dedicated servers? Since my TT isnt the GarageGames version, I can't launch a dedicated server and it keeps freezing on a normal server!!! XO XO XO 8(

You can use any password you want.
Or click on ctrl and s to bring up the GUI window. Click on Admin Login and type in your pass,

And you have to add all admin names into the adminnames.cs file located in the Admin Script Misc Files Folder. If your admins have hard names to copy like ߣitzkrëig¹

you can copy it from your userlog.cs file and past it in your adminnames.cs file DO NOT USE THEIR IPs just their names.
Now if your admins IP address never change you can add their names and IP address to the nameregister.cs file, this way only they can use their name in your servers. But if their IP changes they will be kicked out of your servers for being a impostor.

O and Repent. When I said "admin names.cs", I didn't know you included your comment. I mean know disrespect whatsoever. I didn't read your comment completely. I wasn't active enough to change my post, and thought that it was obvius what the script name acualy was. I'm very sorry, and I hope you forgive me.
You didnt download the updated version! It fixed the invalid files problem...
AC, I'm not trying to be disrespectful. I did change when it was updated. I just changed because you said it was fixed. It still happened. The Gui files where read wrong, again. I have a mac computer. I still don't think that scripts work properly onn Macs with.dso's. Please don't tell me I'm doing something wrong, and leave it at that. I've checked it over, and your new Gui files don't look like they have been changed. Also, it says in the Pref.cs that the binding Gui key should be Z, its still S. I'm not trying to make it sound like your doing something wrong at all. I haven't been communicating properly, and for that I am sorry. The only reason I'm saying this is because I'm trying to solve a problem that is effect your script. I'm only trying to be helpful. O-N-L-Y H-E-L-P-F-U-L. Thankyou for taking the time to try and sort out my problems with your script.

The.dsos were ported, and yes macs do have some kind of a problem with that script... But it doesnt make it freeze...
Try reupdating, you might have done something wrong, as the / codes should work perfectly, just the GUI would
I have the Windows version (WindowsXP is my OS). I ctrl+s and click on Admin Login and type the password but it freezes. Normal codes like tankchanging work but Admin Login freezes.

My only admin is myself, Disturbance. I've copied only my username from userlog.cs and put it in adminnames.cs and nameregister.cs. It still freezes. I haven't copied my IP address. This is terrible. :[ Another problem is my ammo being stuck on BB! XO I have to get powerups to change my ammo to speedy because normal ammo doesnt work. Even reload gates give BBs! XO And target tanks have started firing! :'( But I think I can change that on my own. :( :o
I don't think my IP address changes. When I checked my connection, the IP Address was the same as before but something different from my IP address was in my userlog.cs every time. 8(

Never mind. My ACAS scripts r now fully working and I have managed to login as Dictator and Minister. The AdminTank Cruiser is excellant with its cool looks, high speed, and heavy armor, and I have tested every feature of the scripts. The nuke is cool, I never knew it could kill everyone. It even damaged me, but it takes 3 nukes to destroy the AdminTank. In Cranium Crater, I have hopped from the main island to another island without any arrow or jump pads, ran a circle around that island, and jumped back to the main island, damaged, but not dead in the AdminTank. Wooooooooooooooot! XD
PS: The island jumping wasn't done on purpose. I thought I had fallen in the fog but found myself somewhere else. I ran the circle cause I was so surprised after the jump, and jumped back when the "You need a health powerup" sign came up. XD

Oook your script is great buuut.i cant admin login to work.it keeps kicking me out every time I log in my pass.i even put my name and others in adminname list. Do any of you know what the prob is plz answer back.

Like in Warfares Chatlogger can you make it so when one of the players listed in the adminnames.cs file joins it tells them the latest password for what ever level of admin you want to give them (dictator ministor civilin)? O how I miss Warfares Chatlogger :S.

So lets think about this, the adminnames.cs file only stores the names not IPs of your admins. So if a player was to enter your mod using lets say your name, or the name of one of your admins they would receive the password.

Ok didn't think of that, but heres something for you. How did it work for Warfare's Chatlogger? It required IPs, now if Art Were to change it so it would this could work. O and thank you it was a good idea. 8o
OK, lets say you are one of the many players who's IP changes when you log off the INTERNET. When you restart the game and log back in as admin, you will be kicked out of your own mod because your IP changed. Two of my admin IPs change so they would not be able to be admins in my mods if we used IPs. :)

Most IP's dont change, but some do...
my idea: dont use it with the people who's ip changes...

So what you want is a Admin Name Register that uses IPs, that only gives out the password? What if it just logged them in to whatever level admin you picked for them when they click on Admin login? No password needed for the ones in the adminnamereg.cs file. And you can send the password to the others. The only problem I see with this is siblings that have access to yours or your admins PC, that can be a big problem. How many times have you seen I didn't do it my brother did?
I think I prefer to send them the pass or give it to them in private chat if you pick your admins wisely you won't have a problem.

Warfare's Chatlogger used you local IP. How els would you be able to ban some one from a private server or from PTT. I mean if it didn't log the local IP then it wouldn't work for most people like you said and they wouldn't be banned.
If you pick you admins wisely you won't have a problem.
Exactly. If you pick them wisly then you will not hear "my brother did it". It would be an opition that you could use at your own risk. Pluse you could take admin privages away from who ever does something "bad" because it is in the messagelog.cs Wouldn't be nice not have to remeber so many different passwords for each server.
All my admins are Dictators they have the same powers I have. I have had Arts Admin Script for over 11/2 years now and I have only had to change my password once. I will talk to Art about adding a admin name register log.
And BTW not all players can be banned from PTT and TT, look how many times Chong has been banned from PTT, lol I think its 7 times now under 7 different names. And there are 3 players I have to ban over and over in my mods because there IPs change. And you know sometimes you just can't stop a little brother or sister from using one of your admins PCs. And the message log is not going to tell you if Joe's sister is using his name in your mod.

If all ur Admins have the same power as u, cant they kick u off?
Yes, but if that ever happened they would no longer be a Admin in my server. BTW it has never happened. OK now with that said, lets say you have a admin that kicks you and continues to kick you when you try to rejoin the game, what can you do? You can restart the server and join before he/she has a chance to rejoin but you will lose all your players. Or you can go to your user log copy their name and IP past it into the banlist.cs file. Then type users();
in your game console to bring up the players stats. Find the players CADD
number It will look like this
Repent [4138]
IP= 194.168.000.0, and type 4138.delete();
in the conslole to remove them from the game. You can even give them a message 4138.delete("Stay Out");
removed and banned at the same time. ;)

I have only one Admin, me. I keep trying to open port 28000 on my D-Link, but it never works so I use ACAS either in a server alone, in Solo or in Quick Play. :[ Anyway, thats a different problem for a different thread. If I had others, I would make them Ministers, not Dictators. U can ban them even if they r dictators, but it seems really silly to have someone ban u from ur own server, even if u can get rid of them. :'(
I think it's silly to make someone a Admin and not give them the ability to kick or ban players. Why make them Admins if they can't run your server the way you want it to be run? With out the ability to kick or ban they have no authority in the server, and the players will walk all over them. But you can run your server anyway you want and thats cool with me. But please don't criticize me for how I run my server. Like I said I have never had a problem doing it this way, for over a 11/2 years now. How many others can say that?
Pick your admins wisely and you won't have any problems. ;)

Yea, I guess so. The only things a Minister can do r teleport players and launch nuke strikes. Strangely, nukes damage u to. They kill everyone else but only damage u. :o Teleporting someone into the fog is equivalent somewhat to killing them. B) The auto antiswear kicks anyone who talks bad, and enough players can vote kick someone out, so its crudely equal. Once, Boomboom had made me goodfellas Minister during his ACAS test, and it was fun to teleport players around. XD excpt u cant ban anyone. :'(
Ok first of all, you need to delete the line in your main.cs file that says "exec game/server/dash.main.cs" then go into game/server/prefs.cs and eliminate any lines in the file that pertain to your old dash codes. Thats it
I am having trouble identifying the dedicated server codes in arts admin script ive been looking all day and cant quite qork it out. Everything else is absolutly fine. I beleive there are 5 server codes including one which enables chat from the server window into the game if anybody knows what these 5 codes are and how to use them I would be grateful if you could post.
