Page : 1 : <2>
Can you check if all those files EXIST?
Yep all of em' exist. So what do I do?
Hmmm... I don't know how it's done on macs... But on windows I'd need you to add "-log 1" to the shortcut that starts ThinkTanks then go in-game, create a server using the "create button", and use a command in the gui that needs the player selection screen... Once this is done, quit the Game. You'll then find a file named "console.log" in the main ThinkTanks folder. I need that file
Okay... The log isn't very clean... But I found out where the problem is
Loading compiled script game/server/Admin Script/Gui version/main.cs.
Missing file: game/server/Admin Script/Gui version/Client Side/AdminSelectPlayerWindowGui.gui!
Loading compiled script game/server/Admin Script/Gui version/Client Side/ClientSideScripts.cs.
Mapping string: ACASShowGuis to index: 14
game/server/Admin Script/Gui version/Client Side/MainAdminWindowGui.gui (1066): Unable to find object: 'AdminSelectPlayerWindowGui' attempting to call function 'show'
Mapping string: ACASPassControl to index: 4
Well, from this I can say that the AdminSelectPlayerWindowGui.gui.dso file isnt getting executed... Are you REALLY sure the file is THERE?
I'm in a good mood, so:
Fun Fact - Did you know what the number inside the parentesis ("()") in the error above means? It mean the line! Well... MainAdminWindowGui.gui has over 1066 lines! It has exactly 1490 lines... Almost reached 1500 :P
The whole script has at least 10k lines, I can assure you...

Well im pretty sure its being executed. But here you check
//Main.cs for the Gui Version of Art Crazy's Admin Script
//Let's exec all the files in the client side
if($Game::Hosting != 1)
{
exec("./Client Side/AdminSelectPlayerWindowGui.gui");
exec("./Client Side/ClientSideScripts.cs");
exec("./Client Side/InsertPasswordGui.gui");
exec("./Client Side/MainAdminWindowGui.gui");
exec("./Client Side/AdminErrorGui.gui");
exec("./Client Side/2ndTermGui.gui");
exec("./Client Side/Codes.cs");
}
//Now to the server side
exec("./Server Side/ServerSideScripts.cs");
exec("./Server Side/Codes.cs");
It says the file doesn't exist! It's not my script problem! It must be because you changed the name a bit or something...
Well I redownloaded your admin script. And still giving me this message
Missing file: game/server/Admin Script/Gui version/Client Side/AdminSelectPlayerWindowGui.gui!
Ssiiiggghh I dont get it. Im going to check it again... :(
Ok I'm admin on Dash, Rx and Roo's server. Is any of those servers using your ACAS?
In what is your ACAS different then the one I'm using? (standard admin script).
Is it better?
Other admins - Lone, Nap, Bo, etc. Have you tried it?
Any list of instructions? I went to your webpage and couldn't find a list.
Cheers!
HB
Does anyone know how to fix my GUI error? :(
I like it!

@Radi8
I need you to check if the file with the EXACT SAME NAME is in your folder... Really! :)
@Hugo
I don't know who uses my script. I just have a small log with the number of times it was downloaded, wich platform it was downloaded to, and when. On the old site it reached over 3 times a day... The TT community isn't even that big o.O and almost no 24/7 hoster uses it...
Most hosters don't use it... Why? It's because they want something simple... Only kicking and stuff... And my script works on an "all-or-nothin" basis, that means you cant disable codes.
Why don't I add that function...? 2 Reasons:
1. Too bored to add it to every code/group of codes (oh hell, so many o.O)
2. I'm redesigning the gui and patching up parts of the code, and plan to include that function later on :)
So watch out for v3 in like... I don't know... A few months? I ain't spending much time home later (holidays pwn) and don't have a lot of time to code at the beach :P

I have no idea whats happening! Are you sure the directory is correct? REALLY?
I wish I only could
host 24/7. Or, at least 12/6.

Why I'm really here, I've downloaded the last version. Whit everything working, exept, still the ban-function.
I sometimes ban the same person 4 times in a row (whit whole same IP-address!) Is it maybe because ACAS still ban's someone whit the full IP, and not what a part of it?

I get no errors in console, and no errors when trying to ban.
Hmm... Did you set the path for the banexempt file in the prefs? Or does the file actually exist?
Last edited: Saturday, July 15, 2006 at 12:26:51 PM
Path to BanExempt:
//BanExempt File
$BanExempt::Path = "game/server/Admin Script/Misc Files/banExempt.cs";
And the file does exist.
I've tryed to ban myself, and I could just come back, whit no "You are banned" message. Server just loaded...

Name only doesn't work btw... And I'll check it out once I get home, can't do anything right now, sorry :(
Okay, I've fixed the problem on it not banning :)
If you want to make it IP only write ":IP" and not "IP"... Name only doesn't work
It says that the news is FROM 7/25/06!
Thats when I posted it XD
And also... When I do the /invisi code, it says its not in this version, well I was just wandering what version it is in? Or is that a code just for you? But I dont need it, I found out how to make my tank invisible already!
Just to /tele your name 99999999999
Then right after that do /tele you name 00.00.00.00.00.00.00.00.00.00
(it works if you do that twice)
Then... Your invisible! Its really cool!
Yea its only for me... But I use a similar trick than that, I found it out while coding acas v1...
Of course you can... But I think you should make people be able to choose (dash's or mine)
I already have. You dont know what all is in there :P 73MB of cool stuff for TT but anyways thank you! :)
Well, it says I'm looking for people that can do the skins... Once I get ready with the script part, I'll post them all for anyone to skin, then I choose the best one.
I'm in skype ATM... And you know the edit button exists ;)?
@ AC : Could it be that (in every version of ACAS) votekick doesn't work? The couter seem to work etc, but it doesn't kick the player at all
Oh? I had tested that before and it worked...? I'll test it this monday once I get home, ty for telling me!
PS: Did you set the votekick minimum to the desired value of people that need to vote to be kicked?
Last edited: Friday, August 04, 2006 at 7:31:55 AM
Ya, everything works fine, it even says a (center/bottom)print (not sure which one), saying like "NAME was kicked by the votekicking system".
but the person doesn't get kicked.
Hmm... If that's true I must've broken it with an update... I'll see it later then!
EDIT: Wooops! I had commented the delete(); line for testing long ago, and forgot to uncomment it... Uploading a new copy of ACAS right now...
EDIT2: My hoster for files (userbar too) is currently down... I guess it'll have to wait... This means ACAS download is down too....

I finally was able to fix it! What you've all been waiting for! ACAS now has Mac support! I have also fixed loads of bugs in the code, and have added a few little functions you might not notice at first :)
One of them is the auto-versioncheck feature. It will check in a web-site if it's updated, and warn you in case it's not!
Even if you have it already installed and working (Windows users) I recommend you install this update, you just need to replace the files you have with these ones, edit the pref.cs and adminnames.cs.
I have also taken some time to update the whole website. The layout is much cleaner, no more ads and the download scripts are much more advanced. I hope you like all the effort I put into it.
Now for the most important part, the Link !
Note: As always, if you find any problems, tell them to me ASAP :)
EDIT: Woops... I think I posted in the wrong forum... If the admins have any problem, tell me... If not, I'm lazy :P
