I just got an email from SteAlth. It seems he is leaving TT and stepping down as Comissioner of this Tourney, and as a participant. :(

I will double-check this information! But the way it stands right now is that SteAlth has asked me to take over as Comissioner for this Tourney.

First of all, we will miss you SteAlth! We all are confident that you will come to your senses soon! ;)

Here's the bottom line on this Tourney. I will be swinging THE HAMMER! WE NEED TO GET THESE GAMES PLAYED FAST!! We need to be putiing more of an effort to get these games played AT ALL COSTS!

2 on 2 Team Scrum is one of the most intense gaming experiences ever -- because every second matters, every individual bullet you take or deliver matters, every smooth driving maneuver you nail makes the difference in winning or losing each goal. Given the intensity of these games, when we look at the intensity with which we are scheduling the matches, the difference is SHOCKING!

^ I agree. The real problem is that Hanky is really not a participating member of this community. He rarely checks in. He never responds to e-mail. Bolo makes a good effort, but Hanky makes it hard.

As far as this tourney goes, it makes no sense to disqualify BH. I think the game should be scheduled in advance and played. If we were to cancel the game, then we would only meet up randomly some late night and not have a good choice of server. Furthermore, I have a tremendous amount of respect for Hanky's skill as a player. So let's just get this done.

But, I also want to say that just because Hanky is a great player does not give him the right to "particpate" in this or other community events in such a half-assed manner. Personally, I can deal with this. But as commissioner I have to say I am dissapointed in Hanky's interactivity with regards to scheduling games. I think future tourney's should have a requirement of communication. That you agree to check the forums and your e-mail, and respond to any issues, at least once per day. There is more to it than skill to be a respected member of this community.

OK, enough said about that. Now back to scheduling. How late can you play on Tuesday Bolo? Say 10:30 or 11 pacific?

Same pass as before.

Well we actually all showed up. We played a round of practice and than started game at the clock. After about 5 minutes Hanky began to cry about LAG. Then after a few more minutes he announced he is out, and he left mid-game. I would like to say I was shocked, but...

Then the server froze up.

My gawd!

Let me make a minor correction. He only left after flying across the map, landing on my lap, and giving over a freebie. I think it put us up 3.

Hanky you are a crazy man!

Here is what I said before:

Why didn't you say anything during pre-game? We all agreed there was lag. All our pings were mid-range. We all agreed it could be better, but that it was playable. We also all said that it will never be perfect. Leaving mid-game is absurd.

I for one am through trying to play Hanky in an "official" match. There is always BS. Why should I have to put up with this?

This tourney is OVER!

During the 1st Champion ship game I had tons of lagg and continuied to play after the game I told everyone who participated and they said why didn't I just leave or stop playing.
This is what I did now..
I quit playing then my internet connection total failed once I tried to get back into the game.
The game was playable in the begining then it went sour plus after further examination of the server it is hacked.
because the administrator was able to change my on screen name while the game was in play.

Someone in that server was pinging me dramatically..

Of course the tourney is OVER! Because I am willing to play only on a public server?
Something fishy about the whole tourney and it smells really bad...

DEEJ (aka SteAlth) would have never let this happen in a Tourney..

Az's server was not hacked. He is an honorable long-time vet who went out of his way to help us do this fairly.

For the record, when Hanky left it was 7 - 4 (RT winning). Hanky had 2 goals at the time:

Earlier in the game when Hanky makes "Trick Server" accusation (score was 4 -2 at that point).

Early in the game is when I reported the lagg issue but they continued to play.
We were only 3 minutes into the game. So why are you still trying to justify it?
Do you really think you were far ahead wth 3 points?
Lets play on a public server and we will let you score 3 points from the start.

If I remember correctly, somebody else had lag issues during one of the tourneys and left early. He was given another chance. I refuse to get in the middle, but what's fair is what's fair.... Right? ;)

^ However, team DS vs. WN also had lag issues, but we sucked it up and were beaten. Lag is part of the game, get over it. You don't like lag, don't play online. _{Unless of course you are on dial-up then you have other issues...}
