Do it.

Saturday, March 05, 2005 at 5:25:55 PM

Good luck. Recomend you schedule the game for the weekend now. The 1500 EST worked OK when we played. The game should be played on an East coast server to be the most fair.

Saturday, March 05, 2005 at 5:53:05 PM

1) If anyone knows of potential East Coast hosters, please feel free to speak up.

2) MysteryMan is unavailable on weekends...unless his schedule has changed. However, I do think my team if flexible enough to create a workable window.

3) My availability - weeknights after 9pm CST...I can do a 7pm as well but need a day or two notice. That puts SBC at midnight GMT or 2am...

I would also be willing to play in the morning if need be....I could do a 5 or 6am CST, but that starts to put SBC at midday...not sure if that works. Whatever is decided....I WIll MAKE IT TO THE GAME. I just ask that both sides be flexible.

Everyone else...please post when you are available...sooner than later please.

@Prof

Rooster is an east coast hoster. Im sure he would be open to helping you guys. He hosted our game I believe.

Good luck teams!

Saturday, March 05, 2005 at 8:00:26 PM

Dash may be able to help us with this one as well.

I have pretty much the same availability as Prof. I prefer the night games to the early morning games. I refer to CST when I state early or late.
8 p.m or later CST, any day, just name it!

ILL B THERE!

I saw Triv in a server this morning...asked him to post availability...nothing yet...

Hi RNG! *My legs are shaking and I can hardly find air. A cold breeze of horror is sweeping in over our trembling computers. Try to be nice to us, we're just a friendly bunch of euro puppets that went lost in the scrum woods. We fear in what lies ahead of us.*.. :S

FYI, Stan and me are both 6 hours ahead of EST and Trivox is 7 hours + of EST.

My availability is:

Saturdays: 12am EST <---> 10pm EST
Sundays: 12am EST <---> 10pm EST
Mondays: 2pm EST <---> 9pm EST
Tuesdays: 2pm EST <---> 9pm EST
Wednesdays: 2pm EST <---> 9pm EST
Thursdays: 2pm EST <---> 9pm EST
Fridays: 2pm EST <---> 9pm EST

I should even be able to stretch these times an hour earlier or later than above.

@ Swift Border Collies
I propose that we use EST time format so that we all speak the same time lingo. ;)

Sunday, March 06, 2005 at 1:13:05 PM

1. Minimul requirement is that the game is played at East Coast server. People who probably could do this: Rooster, Fatlips, dash(not EC), but if you're interested we can always play in Europian server too. ;-)

2. We do also prefer evening/night games, like you guys.

3. Does weekends work? (MysteryMan, times?)

4. We should choose one time zone for what everyone would post their available, makes it alot easier to think.
-Okey let's use EST.

5. We are from GMT +1(2players) and GMT +1(1player) time zone. GMT is also called UTC.

6. What time zones are you guys from?

7. My availablety(sp?) is following:
Day / Time GMT +2 /
Mo: 16.00 - 24.00
Tu: 17.00 - 24.00
We: 13.00 - 24.00 //////// TOO MUCH MATH I'LL POST LATER EST TIMES
Th: 15.00 - 24.00
Fr: 15.00 - 02.00
Sa: 14.00 - 02.00
Su: 14.00 - 01.00
Not 100% sure of the weekdays first time, might be later than that. I also might be able to scretch my times one hour later and weekend starting times hour earlier.

You don't have to let go of one rope before grabbing the other. But you'll have to let go of one if you want to swing forward.

I can't do weekends! Please lets make it a weeknight game, just like the leagues.

wiz

Just so you know, I will be able to play pretty much whenever you guys want to.

Sunday, March 06, 2005 at 2:41:01 PM

MM has contacted me and confirmed weekends are out for him as well...when is Stan available?

All of Triv's weekday times appear to be between 1pm to Midnight for him, which translates into...5am to 4pm CST...someone please check my math.

I could actually play that early in the morning...it appears 5am is the early spot on Wed...adjust other days as is logical (i.e. Add an hour or two). I would be fine with Wed 5am or 6am CST...anyone else?

Monday, March 07, 2005 at 6:17:32 AM

Let me re-state my availability.

Seeing Wiz has been so kind as to refer to the time in EST I will do the same.

I am available everynight after 9:00 p.m. 10:00 p.m. On Thuesday and Wednesday (due to leagues)

I can if necessary do an nerly moning game but it would havr to be concluded by 7:00. EST

I am not available for daytime weekend games just as Mystery man is not.

Would Thursday between 9:00 p.m. -12:00 a.m. EST (3:00-6:00 a.m. GMT) Work?

If not please propose a time and lets get this scheduled.

EST(Eastern Standard Time) is five hours behind UTC(Coordinated Universal Time).

My times for EST.

Day / EST Time
Mo: 09.30 - 17.00
Tu: 10.00 - 17.00
We: 06.00 - 17.00
Th: 08.00 - 17.00
Fr: 08.00 - 19.00
Sa: 07.00 - 19.00
Su: 07.00 - 18.00

@Nap: Thursday between 9:00 p.m. -12:00 a.m. EST isn't very good for me...

@All: I have thought here a little. It seems that all of us would prefer to play at night. How about Friday - Saturday? I could try to be late online(19.00 EST) that day(s). We would have late night and you would have evening, which would be pretty nice for both, don't you think so? But I can only play that late at Friday or Saturday, but full Saturday dosen't work? Or is it just afternoon of Saturday?

You don't have to let go of one rope before grabbing the other. But you'll have to let go of one if you want to swing forward.

Monday, March 07, 2005 at 8:03:04 AM

@ Triv
I and play either day Friday or Saturday but it would have to be after 9:00 EST. I believe your asking for a 7:00 EST game. Can you push it back two hours? I believe Prof will be ok with this. I'd have to check with Mystery Man if your good.

Napalm

Monday, March 07, 2005 at 9:09:36 AM

@Nap: I'm not sure if I totally understood your post. I'm asking if it would be possible to play at Friday or Saturday. I could play to 19.00 EST, but can't really play after that anymore.

I can't push 19.00 EST two hours later anymore, if you mean it.

You don't have to let go of one rope before grabbing the other. But you'll have to let go of one if you want to swing forward.

Monday, March 07, 2005 at 9:14:49 AM

When you say 19:00 hours EST you mean 7:00 p.m. Eastern Standard time right?

I could force a 7:00 game if necessary. Can you and your party make that?
Again I still need to check with MM and Prof.

Ya 7 pm, it's in digital time and it can mean only one thing. I haven't asked my teammates yet, but most likely they're good with it(hopefully). 7 pm EST is mine deathline game starting time.

You don't have to let go of one rope before grabbing the other. But you'll have to let go of one if you want to swing forward.

OK let's see what Wiz, Stan, Prof and Mystery Man think?

7PM EST...my back hurts from all this bending...feels like I'm doing Yoga.
What day? Thursday would be nice...Friday is fine for me...but remember weekends...MM prob unavailable...I think I mentioned that several times...

Monday, March 07, 2005 at 10:46:24 AM

Ya I know you mentioned it, but kinda of hoping it's not the full day. I can't play that late on Thursday, you see. Weekends are the days when I can play after midnight.

You don't have to let go of one rope before grabbing the other. But you'll have to let go of one if you want to swing forward.

Monday, March 07, 2005 at 11:06:32 AM

The other alternative I would be open to (but prefer nights) would be an early morning (EST) game. If we were able to play a game and be finished by 7:00 a.m. EST. I could do that any day of the week as well..

Napalm

Monday, March 07, 2005 at 11:25:02 AM

I can't get it finished by 7 am EST. The earliest I can start to play is 6 am EST(most likely about 20 minutes later then that, well not sure. Actually I have no idea, but most likely I will be later than that home.) and this is only at Wednesday. Well of course weekends works for me.

You don't have to let go of one rope before grabbing the other. But you'll have to let go of one if you want to swing forward.

Monday, March 07, 2005 at 11:30:20 AM

Wow looks like it's going to ba another difficult match to schedule. Triv, I appreciate your effort here to get this scheduled.

Let's see what MM says about the 7:00 p.m. EST game. If that's a no-go we'll have to try to find another time.

Monday, March 07, 2005 at 12:05:21 PM

This may be better scheduled visually...I am sending a grid to Nappy...pretty straightforward. Fill it out and we will see what common areas we have. I hope to God everyone has Excel...

Whoa... :P lol...

A minor caution, Trivox. We mustn't repeat the previous schedule hullabaloo here! Lol ;)

I'm sure there is a way to smoothly schedule this if we just slow down a liiitle bit and try to think something out. I think that the RNG's have shown great flexibility when they are even prepared to play the game early in the morning, before work... I think they have earned themselves a hero badge already.

Let's all fill in the Excel Spreadsheet that Professor sent out (good idea Professor). And we will soon find that golden time that we never thought of before. B)

@ all

I'm trying to fill in the spreadsheet right now. Had to dig faaar far down in my cd rom collection to find an old dusty Micro%&soft Excel application...

Fount it though! So I'll mail it over to Trivox and Stan right away. Hang in there, soldiers.

@ tally - I was going to send that instead, but...ummm...the grid was already "filled in" if you follow ;)

Here is what we have so far: It looks like Saturday or Sunday between 7:00-8:30 a.m. EST and Triv and I just miss each other by a 1/2 hour window on Friday at 6:30-7:00.
Still waiting on the others availability.

Update: I found Stan in a game yesterday and asked him what his availability was. Stan stated he could not predict his schedule a week in advance, but would probably be available regardless of time. I'm just going to put in a doable across the board for Stan unless someone corrects this. This is the best we can considering the information provided. I also filled out the gris for Triv according to the times he posted above.

I just talked to Stan. He tells me to pass it on that he can play ANY time, 24/7, he will be there. He's lost his password to the forum and hence haven't been too active on ptt.

This means that if the time we schedule, by any reason wouldn't work for Stan, we will play the game one man short.

Any words from MysterMan? Will he be able to play this, say, Saturday evening Eastern time?

Tuesday, March 08, 2005 at 6:38:40 AM

Hi all,

Finally found my login details. Well this looks hard enough to schedule, so I wont add to the burden. I'll play whenever you decide to make it happen. (except emergency).
Thanks to Prof for being willing to play so early in morning.

Please pick a server that's really east, (wiz and triv ping at 160-170 on dash's) - Rooster seems to be the only possibility these days so we'll have a whooping 140 ping. Then again this is scrum, right? But still.

Tuesday, March 08, 2005 at 6:38:43 AM

Here is what MysteryMan has said in an email: "I can play any night, just not on weekends." I'm not real sure how the fits into "The Grid"...I think we could talk him into a morning game maybe. Where did ol' griddy go?

Tuesday, March 08, 2005 at 6:45:18 AM

No, Still waiting to hear from MM.

Tuesday, March 08, 2005 at 6:53:22 AM

I tried both dash and roo's servers. Roo's server had lower ping than dash's server, but it felt that dash's server was smoother anyways.

You don't have to let go of one rope before grabbing the other. But you'll have to let go of one if you want to swing forward.

Tuesday, March 08, 2005 at 8:53:33 AM

I cannot play on weekends? Take the wax out of your ears. Dammit.Unfortunately I dont have Excel. But here is my work schedule for this week. In CST.
This is when I am unavailable. This week. Haven't got a sched for next week yet.

Wed: 9am-6pm

Sun: 10:00am-7:00pm

If thats what a guy has to do to get it done so be it. I'll be there!
What do you guys think?

I figure we have to be happy if we just manage to schedule this. But if I may wish, for a preferred server, I'd say Rňósters.

@ Triv. Roo's is faster than Dash's B)

Wednesday, March 09, 2005 at 4:51:01 AM

@wiz: Yeah it should be faster when there're lower ping, but it's actually feels more laggier than dash's. Weird?
PS. Check your email I did sent the excel thing back

Wednesday, March 09, 2005 at 4:55:42 AM

I started to fill out the thing with red by using all the info I have got from the schedules above. At the end I had four yellow areas left(don't take my word for that, count yourself!), 6.30 - 8.30 EST at Sunday. Note I used the schedules what Napalm posted above(thought I used different triv's one). But I have no idea what Stan think about it, because he couldn't plan his schedule for next week.

Can you clarify what you mean? Thx

Wednesday, March 09, 2005 at 6:03:11 AM

I collected each schedules red slots and put them in to one schedule. Everything else were red expect four slots, which were yellow. These fours slots were at Sunday 6.30 - 8.30 EST.

I don't know if Stan can play then, because he couldn't make the schedule.

Makes sense now?

You don't have to let go of one rope before grabbing the other. But you'll have to let go of one if you want to swing forward.

Wednesday, March 09, 2005 at 7:12:17 AM

I believe Stan has posted that he is kind enough to conform to whatever works for everyone else, so long as it does not conflict with any sudden crises that may arise during the course of a life. To me, unless something unexpected happens for him, I want to say it's GAME ON this Sunday ...how about 7AM EST ?

Please confirm with a "Woot" or similar acknowledgement...thanks to all for helping to make this match happen...good luck to all!!! WOOOOOT !

Wednesday, March 09, 2005 at 8:38:07 AM

Yes Triv, That makes perfect sense. The highlited squares in the spreadsheet shows the same thing you stated. A sunday morning game.
