The Challenge is to create a skin based on a the theme of Hunting Season. All skinners will use the same theme. When you're done, you email your finished skin & all it's parts to the "referee". At the end of the time limit, the ref will post all the skins at the same time for voting. You may submit more than one entry. You may use any of the standard ThinkTanks tanks.

Submission Rules:
0. Email your submission to PTT.Skin.Contest@gmail.com
1. Subject title on email must read, "Skin Challenge #5"
2. Email must include the name of your skin design.
3. Email must also include your PTT or TT name.
4. Must not have name on skin any where please.
5. Must include all the parts for the skin.(Parts to make or mod to be turned in : Tank,Brain,Brainjar,Brainglass & Tanktreads 01 thru 07)
6. Previews of your skin. Preview Rules:
- No more than 4 Previews, each numbered from 1 - 4
- Each preview limited to 512x512 in size
- Each preview may show only one view of your tank (no collages)
- No animations (unless the animation is used as part of the skin itself)
- Each preview may not include anything other than a view of the tank. No personal logos, names or descriptions of any kind.

Voting:
Each skin will be named by it's Tank skin name, given to it by the artist. The Referee will post the previews of each skin as provided by the artist, along with the name of the skin. The artist's name will be withheld. All votes will be collected in this thread. Each person will be allowed one vote - the Referee will ensure that no one uses aliases to place multiple votes. The Referee may not vote. The winner will be the creator of the skin that collected the most votes. In case of a tie, the Referee will cast the deciding vote. If the Referee is also a contestant, he may not cast a vote for his own entries (unless all tied entries are his creations)

Prize:
The Winner will get to choose the theme for the next Skin Challenge.

Birdshot gets my vote.

Well I have seen them all now and I must say my vote is split :P
.50 goes too Bird shot &.50 goes too Overkill

I would of gone with just one but Overkill doesn't have true animated treads
I also know this skinner was sick and all most didn't enter.
I took that as a factor and that is why I can not pick one or the other. B)

I'm really impressed with the duckhead/bill effect the artist achieved. The feathers are nice and the webbed feet treads are so cute. Great job and a very imaginative interpretation of a theme.

I think I know who's going to win...

I really liked the Overkill skin, but my vote has to go to Birdshot, that is one mad skin - I cant wait to stick it on my tank XD

Overkill, just becuase it has many guns and I love the blood splat pattern on the bottom!

Birdshot is sweet, *very artistic I love how everything blends in and the treads ROCK. However im more for guns and gore than cute birds, sorry. Still love how everything blends in. The feathers are also every every detailed.
All in all im sticking with overkill, I havn't seen so good of a blood splat in a while XD

Ok, I figure it's about time for a tally:

All three skins are excellently designed and made. Food Chain is the one that probably surprised me the most given the theme - I wasn't expecting neon blue for Hunting. ;) But the teeth rock.

Overkill's got the excellent camouflage pattern, and I *love* the ammo belt on the side! I might have to work one in to a skin sometime. XD

Birdshot confuses me! It has two sets of eyes!! Is it looking at me?? :S Is it looking past me?? Help!

I think all three skins are winners, but fishtank has earned the trophy for Skin Challenge #5 and can choose the topic for Skin Challenge #6.

Because this one ran late, and we have several holidays coming up, the deadline for #6 will be JANUARY 31. The contest will be extended an extra month ! So I don't want to hear any complaints about not having enough time!!! XO

K, I don't have the tread animations yet. I have been sick for the past ten days and Hevent been able to get to school to make more. Somtime this week, I hope.

Well, I gotta say, victory isn't as sweet with only two other competitors. Nice skins though, you guys.
I'm glad you bumped the deadline for the next contest back, TMO, maybe more skinners will enter. I've tossed around a few ideas for the next theme, and couldn't really come up with anything great, so I decided to go with "Winter". It seems like a broad enough term to allow for artist interpretation, and should atleast produce some great high-visibility skins that TTers would be interested in wearing.

Well, I honestley can't remember what inspired me to transform a tank into a duck, but I tried to make the tank eyes look like the duck's nostrils, and I hoped the eyes on the brain glass would draw attention away from the usual "tank eyes". Maybe I should have added a little yellow to the brainglass to make it blend better. Oh, well. I think some people saw it the way I intended.
