Good games team RNG. Tough victories for you both you got one point more than us in both games. Keep your head up and catch the trophy.
PS. I'm very disappointed to my own game and scoring. Total personal score from both games, one. Should have done more than that. That wasn't my day for sure. :)
Wanna replay for fun sometime?
You don't have to let go of one rope before grabbing the other. But you'll have to let go of one if you want to swing forward.
@ RNG
Now, that
game was very
intense!! Wow! I loved it! In my last breath in the tournament, I'm whispering to you... "Good luck, in the final. Here, *cough* take this potion...as a token of honor... It will render you invincible
in your final fight...*
@ all
Thanks for this great tournament! I think I've learned to (finally) enjoy the game of scrum. And to all the new faces I've met, nice meeting you! You too paisano ;) !
Let's not make these events a regional occurrence. I think that it actually can work out having teams from all over, if only we keep a friendly attitude and try our very best to plan ahead and be flexible. During the incident with our barely played/poorly attended game vs NVM, schedules were plagued by big red [n]no no's[/b] and none of us succeeded to communicate. I think one can only say, lesson learned. (Might be a good idea to use fixed game times in the future?)

Tanky im ready any time you are

I'll take a double shot please ! hicup :P
Wow the rng vs sbc looked close......6 bmers!!!
Me thinks rng hasnt the "scrum" in it to beat KSJ....bet they will do dam good though
Good luck!!! (im sitting on the RNG side of the stadium)
Lol

So whats the deal on 3 on 3 I haven't seen any servers or schedules?
You're a little late champ... They DQed your team for not adhering to the schedule. Your team still remains undefeated, but you'll no longer be the 3 vs. 3 Tourney Champions.
Sucks... I know... But that's the way the cookie crumbled. Where were you man? Everyone was waiting on you!
Well it wasn't so much a DQ as it was Jangy and Bolo backing out gracefully... I figured you would rather them find a replacement than back out... But they backed out anyways. Maybe they just don't think they have any chance without you. XD LOL, jk :)

Good job KSJ!!
Screenies for KSJ vs. RNG:
Game 1: played on Rx's server
Game 2: played on Nappy's server
Tough games of super high intensity! Excellent games that seemed like the could have gone either way. Excellent strategic play on both sides that was jaw-dropping and eye-opening. Lots of passing and positioning and waiting. Only reason we won game 2 was an awesome Rx freebee! Great games guys!

^ game one marred by poo fire rate and minimum 3 fb
game two an acceptable loss
two stars...indy servers probably would have yielded a closer game 1
<---- renounces fb king crown....given to ksj
Congrats to all!
Wow , seemed like a marathon of a tournament.
It happens prof
B
Marathon tournament run by a bunch a' potato sackers.
Gents, I thoroughly enjoyed the tournament, (with exception of some difficult scheduling) and all that participated.
Last nights games I feel could have been quite a bit better. No, wait hear me out. Obviously there was a houseful of talent last night and the games were great.
I'm not protesting or bitching, just expressing my thoughts.
We all know that the freebies certainly made a difference and they are part of the game. If the advantage were switched and directed @ RNG, I wouldn't be offering to give back any goals. A goal is a goal.
KSJ did win fair and square from a player perspective. I have no issues with these great guys.
What I was wondering was, if maybe the format could be changed a little bit. I don't understand why the games are so short. I have been asking to extend the games a bit for some time now. I think I was asking in the BM league as well. Maybe not all games, but at least the playoff games. And absolutely the FINALS! I think if using the best of three format, the finals should be a half an hour PER GAME. This would hopefully allow for a better feel of the games, and maybe a little leveling of the freebies thing. How often do you get Napalm, Prof, Mystery Man, Reagent X, Tally Ho, and Lonewolf together uninterrupted for some complete games?
Not that often.
The reason I suggest this is that it may actually help even out the games, and you just simply get more of what you love. The great competition! Or maybe extend the games by 5-7 minutes and make the finals 3 out of 5. Switching colors, so all things are equal sort of approach.
Food for thought.
Anyway,
Congratulations to Reagent X, Tally Ho, and Lonewolf!
Great guys, great talent. Thanks for the games and competition.
The new champs!
(watch your backs) lol
Thanks!
Napalm
Long Live The New 3 Chimps!
Congratulations KSJ!!!
It looks like it was a battle hard fought and a victory well earned!!!
WOOT!!! I'm looking forward to the next 3 on 3!!! One day, that title will be mine! 8( !!! But I'm very happy for you!!! Well done!!! %)

I considered adding game results/scores as well, but quite frankly I'm too lazy to dig up that info. :)

A) People will join in sets of 3. One team = 3 people. Thus, you will need to police yourselves. If someone you're considering for you team has sticky hours and you question their commitment / ability to play, you may want to consider not taking them on.
b) It will be up to the teams to host and organize their matches. Each round will proceed at one week intervals.
c) If you have a micro window of availability, consider not entering. Success of tournaments is contingent upon players' flexibility. In the event of a DNP, the team that has shown greater willingness and availability to play.
_____Rules Draft 0.1
1) 3-player teams are self-formed and then announced in the official thread. Post openings or interest in the official thread [when there is one], or form via in-game chat or email to ho.
2) Once the tourney commish has gathered a bracket-able number of announced full teams, a non-seeded single-elimination bracket will be randomly dealt. [I want a seeding process ]
3) The first round has a time-limit of 5 days. Each subsequent match round will have a time limit of one week. Set up a thread for your upcoming match so that each player on your team and your opponent's team can post available match times/days. You can do this by email, but the thread is better so that the commish can see who the delinquent team/player was in the case of a match not being played before the one-week deadline. The team that puts forth more of a flexible scheduling effort will move on to the next round.
4) Each match consists of 2 or more fifteen-minute games. Match scoring is in effect (win=2, tie=1, loss=0). As we have seen in PSL, splitting a two game match is quite common. Here, though, it would keep going until there is a winner. I would imagine this would result in a majority of matches resulting in 3 games. This can and did happen, so make sure your agreed-upon match start time leaves enough time for players to play at least three games. If you lose the first game of the match, the only way to prevent defeat is to win the second 15-minute game. *A tie will not do.*
5) If your team shows up to an agreed-upon match time with less than 3 players, you must play with the team you have at hand. Unless, for some graciously altruistic reason, your opponents decide to imitate doormats or have WAY too much time on their hands - or your no-show has an outstanding reason for no-showing - it can be rescheduled *within* the 1-week round window. If it cannot be rescheduled, the team that initially showed up at full strength will move on [see c above]
6) The two teams playing the match are responsible for setting up their own server (or talking a server God/dess into cranking one up for them). Mind the lag, folks -always opt for proven servers and keep in mind that remote or overseas players can call forth hordes of lag demons._____
the management
7) No switching sides.
