Is there really any point to having teams of a particular "nationality" if all we do is jump around and play for whomever we wish? If this is what will ensue, why even have a TT Olympics based on geograhpic location? Why not just create the best team you can and go from there? Maybe the teams should have different names if they won't truly represent a geographic location.
The jumping simply seems to defeat the purpose of the TT Olympics.
I'm with proffesor, stick with your true local.
@Prof... The united states is a zest pool of national origins. The only people in this country that are true "natives" are the American Indians. But that's just part of the point. Team USA is way over populated! So if people wish to represent the region of their origins, then so be it. My great Grandparents came to America on a boat from Italy... So if I wanted to represent Team Europe as an Italian... Then that would be my right!
@All, you choose the team you wish to represent, regardless of where you live. Take pride in the nationality of your team and fight for the greater good of the whole!

Also, CA, OR, WA, HA, and AL are all along the Pacific Rim. So people in those areas have a right to represent Team Pacific Rim / Global, even though they are in the United States.
Then I will hereby elect to play for whichever team I feel has the greatest number of good players...I am a mercenary for hire. Nations, start your bidding!
Don´t forget people I´m also an American but I enjoy playing for Europe because I live here. I agree with SteAlth on this one, either play for the team of the country you were born in or the country you live in.
@ Lonewolf you can be on Team Europe we haven´t decided yet who will play in which event yet.
@ All please state which event you prefer to participate in. Thank You
@ Jinx
I would like to play in all but the battle modes. Also talk to Paisano, not sure if you have heard from him yet but he wants in on Team Europe also. Thanks B)

@ LONEWOLF(UF/AB) Welcome aboard! I never would have guessed that you are FUBAR! You´ve beat my butt enough in the past I´m glad to have a quality player like you aboard. Thanks for joining.
We need a few more people. So please if you haven´t decided for who you want to play for yet then sign up so we can get the triyouts for each event started. Thanks and hopefully this will be more of a sucess for us than last year.
Thank you
Blackfoot

Welcome aboard Pins and Needles! Where are you from?
I'm from USA. But the USA team has too many players, so I pick this team. + I'm half Europian ancestry.
Maybe having a couple of players based in the USA will take care of some of the lag problems that we always have in the games and counter some of our disadvantage.
Yippy right here ill join!!!!! Lol
Email: fatlipstank@yahoo.com
@ FatLips Wecome aboard! I never had the pleasure of playing against you but as far as I know you have a reputation as one of the best battle moders. Thats exactly what department we´re hurting in the most. If you know of anyothers please encourage them to play for us too. Thanks.
Jinx
TOOT! TOOT!
Team Europe welcomes Paissano to the team! I would say we are starting to get a very good team together, look out world!

I am honored to be a part of such a great team. I think we will do very well.
By the way, feel free to use my website and any of its tools to communicate, such as the sharable calendar and live chat room.
The yahoo club (which requires a yahoo account unfortunately) allows us to create any kind of database we want too.
Let's practice as much as we can!
Isnt the point of the olympics to represent the country/region in which you are born? Otherwise what is the point?
B
Well if you look at it like that then I can´t play either because I was born in Ohio.
@ All
We have discussed this all ready, I thought we decided you must be born their, live their or have a relative from their! Is that not what we decided? Besides the teams look pretty even besides Team Global being two players short! Lets get it on! B)
@ Jinx
When are we going to start try outs my Captain? 8(
@ Bolo, I said it once, I'll say it again :) The US is a zest pool of national origins. The only people in this country that are true "natives" are the American Indians. But that's besides the point. If people wish to represent the region of their origins, then so be it. My great Grandparents came to America on a boat from Italy... So if I wanted to represent Team Europe as an Italian... Then that would be my right.
Also, CA, OR, WA, HA, and AL are all along the Pacific Rim. So people in those areas have a right to represent Team Pacific Rim / Global, even though they are in the United States. In fact, last year, there was talk of making 2 separate Team USA's. One for the West, one for the East. Well I just took that a step further and created a team for the Pacific Rim.
It's nothing official, the Tourney is just a way for us to get together and have a good time playing the game with a little national pride. I think all the teams are shaping up to be quite exceptional. This years TT Olympics are definitely going to be a fight to remember!
I get it stealth....good thing the real olympics doesnt use the same guidelines...if so the US wouldnt have any teams
B
Were getting more good players by the second! W00t!
Oh yeah. My best times for playing on weekdays aare 7:00 P.M - 9:00 P.M.
For weekends: 4:00P.M. - 10:00P.M.
My timezone is Central.
I thought we where going to play at 1pm ?
Welcome all the new players to Team Europe I was working on my Mod as some of you know. I think we have a dam good chance in winning these Olympics Respect to all the Team Europe Players. Just for the record I am from Scotland was born in a beautiful place called Loch Lomand. I have been here in Germany now for 10 years I guess that gives me the right to play for Team Europe
@ All / We should get togeather and start to practice as a team tactics, and so on. Before we know it the Olymipcs are around the corner and we haven't even had ONE practice game. Get back to me or Jinx when a good time to play is and maybe with a bit of luck we can have a practice game this week.

Well we lost Fat Lips because of his grades in school and I have not gotten any response to my email to Gnomie so I´m not sure that he can play either. Stealth is contemplaiting postponing this until the Leagues are finished. I believe it would be better to have this after Summer vacation, what do you all think?
Thanks
Jinx
Hullo Mr. Jinx, I have enlisted myself to the Olympics teams, if there is room for me. Since I live in Europe could you please include me in your team.
@Jinx, How's it going bud :)
I posted this sugestion in Fil's Team USA thread and wanted to sugest it to you as well, if that's okay... I know you've been in contact with your team and that's good. I hope Gnomie pulls thru for you.
I think it's time to schedule a regular time and place for your team to meet and compete! Take a look at the thread I set up for Team Pacific Rim / Global for ideas. XD
The best way to get the ball rolling is to just set a schedule and do it. :)

@Jinx I emailed you about signing up.
I'd like to be in it,being I do live in ENGLAND........ ;)
Team Europe welcomes nukleuz, Hell Raiser™ and timbo bomber. Welcome aboard.
@ nukleuz: I need you to send me your email address otherwise I cant send you the password and I require an email address for every member of the team.
@ All: Look for our server this weekend. It will be up quite alot. We just want to play some games and get to know each other. As soon as enough people show up we will then set up a password and lock the server for our team. Lets try and all get together this weekend. The password will be the same as for the tryouts.
Tryouts are every Sunday at 7:00 PM GMT! The server will be titled Team Europe Tryouts, check your e-mail for the password!
This Sunday will be Indi Battlemode! We're going to have at it against eachother for 3 rounds. We'll do it again on the 18th but for only 2 rounds. The two highest overal scorers will be our TT Olympians for the individual BM event, which will take place on Saturday, July 24th... At 7:00 AM GMT. If this time for the compition is too early then please let SteAlth know this while there is still time to change it.
GOOD LUCK!!!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The team events aren't going to be for a while... But here's how we're going to do it. I'm going to split you up into 4 even teams. (based on your performance in the indi tryouts) Then you'll compete against eachother in a standard 4 team League format. The top two teams will join forces to represent Team Europe as Think Tank Olympians!
The 5th member will be determined in a wild card match! The 4 of you who didn't make the team will go at it in indi mode for 3 rounds. The highest overall scrorer will be our 5th olympic teammate.
If anyone has any questions or comments please feel free to e-mail me, please try to limit the question when we are playing, I like to be able to concentrate on my game too!
Thanks
Jinx
P.S. I´ve been playing as Blackfoot just for everyones info. Please check this thread everyday for updates and info.

So people, I have only got responses from some of you although I´ve sent emails to everyone on the team. To those that are sticking it out and waiting thank you. Those of you that don´t find it necessary to answer my mails, I will be forced to drop you from the team.
For those of you having problems with the time zone difference, I´ve found a better link than the one I sent to everyone per email, please try this Time Zone link , it should be very useful. If you still have problems finding out the game time conversion for your zone then feel free to drop me a mail.
Thanks
Blackfoot

I was curious if there are any kind souls here who would be willing to switch to help the flailing team USA... A game is always more fun when it is even, and you could help make it so! If you have ever lived in america, or visited, you are eligible! Email bolo at killemall98@yahoo.com, and tell him you are interested in traiding. I am not trying to steal players, I just want ot have a more interesting and competitive round!
@ FilbertMM
Only if for some reason Team Europe falls apart, which I don't think will happen! B)
Get lost Filbert!!!! XO
Filbert please dont post my email. Its in my profile and people should know to look there. If not that is their problem. That email is my TT/junk email but I try to avoid spam as much as possible.
