Okay, Tally, I'm getting mixed messages all over the PTT and Garage forums. I have heard 3on3 and 4on4. I've heard of random teams and a selection process. When do we finally get the details? Some are probably waiting just to see what kind of game this will be. Elimination, or does every team play every other team with a top-2 superscrum final? If 1 member can't make it to a game (sick, work, nagging wife/husband), will that team be forced to play short-handed for a guaranteed loss, or does the game get delayed until the Golden Hammer of Tally-Whacker strikes them down?

And most of all, who is on this committee? You aren't deciding and organizing all of this single-handedly are you? You will go bloody insane! Share the hammer! Anyhow, I'm looking forward to this; I just want the details!

I ponder, since it was so successful, why transform it in a 3x3 format?

Isn't there already 3x3 leagues and tourney out there?

Just a little variety. Also, this diminishes the increasingly detrimental impact of lag on big games. Also, seems cats like the free flowy-ness of the spaciosness. Personally, I think 4 on 4 is perfect, but there is a loudish roar for this....

Or so I thought.

Ps. More teams would be good, and smaller teams of players would mean - hopefully - better attendance.

Oh, you mean like in the 3on3 tourney? How many times did you need to bring out the hammer? ;)

I liked how in Psychoscrum, the GAMES were 5on5, but there were more than 5 players per TEAM. This way, a team could manage the players so that hopefully at least 5 would show up.

I'd like 3on3 or 4on4 scrum. 5on5 is way to chaotic for my flavor. However, the teams should have extra people so that the loss of 1 scrummer does not mean that the team will have to play short-handed for a near-guaranteed loss.

Most games incorporate a "bench" for replacement players. It seems like a good idea.

Im up for 4 on a team. That way it wont be too chaotic and if somebody cant make it u have 3 on 3. Less lag too. Lets say 16 people are interested. We could have 4 teams of 4 and play 2 out of 3 twice a week. Kinda like psycho 3.0.Tally how many people do u think r interested so far?? Are we gonna have random teams??

Well, if we set up 4-player teams for a 3on3 league, I believe we already have 4 teams. The extra player would allow for occasional absences due to busy schedules and still keep the even 3on3 matchups going on a 2-per-week basis. I still don't have a problem rotating with a teammate when everyone does show up (but maybe I got spoiled since Amnesia never had a problem being short in PS3).

And I keep waiting to see a JamesBomb server or team... A bunch of dangerous lights running around with seductive names like Honey Ryder, Octopussy or Pussy Galore, and a killer heavy named Oddjob (ooh - how about some fedora-shaped shells)!

An amusing thought Ge0rge, but I'm still at double-oh-nothing status. I doubt I can gather a group of "Bomb Girls" just yet. Lord know, the ladies that do show themselves around here are mighty talented!

In any case, getting back on topic, 3on3 scrum with 4 per team sounds like the most stable situation. Then teams can actually plan a rotation, yet have 1 guy as backup if something happens (mother/wife calls, house burns down, etc).

If so, I can do it. 10 PM ET. Monday's will be tight in some cases. But I usually get home around 9:30 PM ET that day so I should be OK.

Looks like we're at 24, 6 teams total. Perhaps we can squeeze out 2 more before the end of the week and get this puppy in motion. Spread the word.
