LEAGUE BUSINESS FEB 3
a. If the answer to your question is stated in the recurring post at top and you ask it anyway, the odds that your next three questions will be answered enter the asymptotical approach to zero.
b. No more than 5 people per team should be on a server at once, one of which must be an observer, marked as such, or not be there at all.
c. Games begin when the clock ticks down to zero and the server flips. No more diving. This is why it is essential that teams show up on time, it not EARLY (Early meaning *not late,* maybe even a few minutes before the minute the game is scheduled to start.")

POST-SEASON NEWS:
Teams that finish in second (2) and third (3) place will vie on the 2nd place team's home court.

{{{{{ In the event of a tie at season's end, the team with the better head-to-head record will host the match. In the even the record is tied, the team with the better goals scored/allowed ratio will host the match }}}}}

Winner will play first place team in their house. Bring a bottle of wine for the chef.

Each match consists of 2 games. Match scoring will be used like last season (W = 2 pts, L = 0 pts, T = 1 pt, W both games = 1 extra point).

Observer Script for PSL

League Rules for Observer
1. A maximum of 2 observers is allowed per game.
2. Servers must not be set to more than 10 players.
3. The participation of any observers MUST be mutually agreed upon by both Team Captains prior to the start of the game.
4. Observers should be changed to RED color by the admin if possible, or the observer should modify their name to indicate they are observing (e.g. Tally Ho (Obs)).
5. Observers should not participate in any way during the game. This means no chatting!

Home games are to be played on your Home Field. In addition, each team playing on their Home Field should also host that game if possible. That way any 'advantage' to hosting one's own game will even out over the season.

All that does is give the third place a chance to steal the second place position...what's the point of the three going into Finals, Just the first-second should advance, The third played good but not as good as the second place. Lets look at it like this, does the NFL have three matches for the championship? It's first place team against second place team right?

Its not complaining to me, just stating the facts how certain people seem to add or play who ever they seem to want to play. That is not how leagues should work ! No 1 should be allowed to join any ones team unless the Captains have a say in it, once the draft of the teams is done ! B)

To point out that we had fewer players on our team last season when Jangles just showed up on your team and that the same thing happened this season with ACA is not complaining Bolo.

Only sound worked for me... I was missing some thing forgot what it was.

LOL! I was looking at that screenie and couldn't recognize the view. I've used my Beelze skin set so long I've almost forgotten what the originals look like! %)

@Rx. Cool movie! Some great passes in there. Got to love the slow motion and the distorted sounds... Lol nice transitions too! Good work. Also, am I dreaming or you added the howl of a wolf when LW scored?

@Ho - ok for now I guess. Not much details, and my feedback is that the post-season paragraph could be reworded in greater details.
Is every team playing? Or just #1-2-3 (like I am led to understand reading the above). No answer on this last one means I've reached zero. :P

Awesome! Thanks, those are some cool movies. Btw- I was also able to get it to go using mplayer, the mozilla plugin. However, the clearest view for me is saving it on my hard drive and then opening and watching in quicktime.

Very nice Rx. That On2 VP3 codec used on DV files makes the best quality/file size combination I've seen.

[note] If you're having trouble with the movie try downloading it to your hard drive and using the Quicktime player application to play it. The movie requires a special codec that the QT player will download automatically.

Yes - thanks BC for turning me on to this codec and for help with the settings. It does a really efficient job of compressing!

Rx: How large was the original file?
BC: I use Sorenson - is On2 better?

I think so, but try it for yourself. 100:1 compression from raw uncompressed video. For TT I capture at 15 FPS, and then apply the sharpen filter at its lowest setting when I export. Here are screenies of the export settings I use:

Leave the FPS at "best".

If you have settings that allow you de-interlace at capture you will end up with video that has no finger edges or blurred frames.

Use the arrow key to step forward through the frames.

And it's open source! :)

@Hugo, Full quality DV version is 1.4 GB. So in my case compression is 1400/37 = 38:1

Aye, tis the reason I worked with RX a while back to host my mods. My server just doesn't have the power, but it will work if needed.

I forgot to set up my server before heading to work today so someone else will have to host tonight.
