Please read the statements below
I would like to change the way the games are hosted.
Each team will be responsible for hosting their own HOME games.

I am looking for hosters to host games for those who do not have hosting capabilities.
I don't beleive this league has the luxury of looking for the perfect server. We need to just get the games played.

Captains, Please let me know you plans to get the missed games rescheduled and played.
Contact me if you need a server.

@ All.

If the Schedules and Rankings look like gibberish in some web browsers, it's because of the fact that I don't know how to make it look good in all of them. Blame it on the Internet and its various browsers, that have their own way of showing things (I never understood the point of that). For instance, in my browser - where it should say "Game 1" - the text have been truncated into "Ga |". And the dates are being cut off by the "Home" text.

But there is a work-around, that lets you see the exact information:

Just copy/paste a snippet from the webpage into a text editor, such as TextEdit (Mac) or WordPad (PC), and you will be able to see the correct information.

Rats - Eurorage
played on D5 - Hosted by rooster
Game 1 : 42 - 46
Game 2 : 45 - 57
Euro takes both
Euros benefited from a "lag shield" due to playing in US server. We are happy to share this "lag shield" with rats when we host them in europe for rematch.

@ Stan, Prof and whoever using the term 'lag shield':

There simply ain't no situations where one can blame things on this figment called 'lag shields'.

'Lag' means latency delays. If there exists a term that explains this factor of delay , there HAS to exist a ditto for the opposite, i.e being ahead in time. While there ain't no good definition for the latter, it is still a thing that many seems to forget about.

Gaming-wise, those who are on the sweet spots in the world of Internet connections, often tend to - arrogantly enough - conceal the fact that they DO have an advantage of being where they are. There is no situation where one can ever blame it on 'lag shields' when loosing to someone who is on the other side of the globe bathing in lag. I'd rather consider that being a very constricted outlook on things in this game, to say the least.

I have sealed my lips ever too often, when playing in pick-up games and loosing badly to an opponent due to the fact that my shots have to swim all across the Atlantic ocean to reach my target. So - and this is refered only to those who are talking about 'lag shields' (you other fine fellows and good sportsmen, do NOT feel offended):

Stop being spoiled and try to pick up some skills. 8o

Monday, October 03, 2005 at 9:30:37 AM

Lag in TT?? When did this happen?? I thought it was normal to play with ping around 260!!! You are telling me someone is using a lag shield against me??? Who is it?? Stan? Wiz?

Lag is overrated!!! Just deal with it!!! If anyone has a right to complain it's me. I am always the highest pinged played in this competition. Do I complain?? Never. I always get the job done, and Willow's team saw the aftermath of my destruction. So WHO's NEXT!!!

Bring it Mosquitoes!!! Your time has come....

I live in a town of 500 people...it aint no sweet spot :)

I know for a fact when I bm players from other parts of the world I dodge their bullets on screen but I am actually hit. The reverse is when you are pegging their ass and it takes forever for them to die. It seems that what you see and what the server see's can vary when playing opponents across the pond. To truly know what im talking about id have to play a few rounds from europe and I aint going there anytime soon.

That being said I cant help but think that we americans still have a bigger advantage overall with having a better ping.

Who knows

Where is server we are out there and no server :(

Thursday, October 06, 2005 at 6:33:34 PM

Well since the only server was put up by Pale Riders and and it was to be hosted by Lep from what Rooster says and HA connection sucked in the server, either ping was good but and fire rate was poor or we were choppy ! Let us know on reschedule :(

@ All,

An alarming pattern that I am starting to see in TBML is cliff hanging, and team players who kill each other "accidentally". I have seen this pattern start to creep up over the last three weeks or so, and the sad part is that people laugh it off, as being "accidental".

We need to get to the basics, and ensure that captains tell their players that this kind of behavious is not condoned. I am tired of people making excuses.

While it is hard to proof, when I play TT I do so honestly, and expect others to do so. Honesty starts within!!!

All I ask people is to play fair, win lose or draw.

They did the same thing to us or I should say one person did. Not to mention we didn't get credit for 2 or 3 kills, thats why we have to play game 2 over with them besides some very bizzare ping that night also ! B)

Friday, October 07, 2005 at 7:06:46 AM

Yes lets start finger pointing. I can recall a few times of the same things happening to me with other teams as well.....

If you have a problem with any member of BoP doing these things. Email me I will take care of it. Then I will email other captains about there team mates that were doing same thing. See how helpfull this is..

Friday, October 07, 2005 at 10:24:34 AM
...

I think we should just let this drop. While I did notice more than a few accidents last night, I have no reason to believe they were anything but accidents.

I put it down to BoP being nervous from being intimidated by our sheer tanking prowess, not to mention our imposing good looks. XD

I have on occasion driven my tank off a cliff before the game even started, so I'm not one to be making accusations. I've also occasionally shot teammates in the ass by accident. These things happen, especially in league games where people are tense and the action is heated.

As a generalization, not necessarily related to this specific discussion, I would suggest that in the future, if anybody witnesses what they would consider dishonourable behaviour, that they take a screenshot
(hit ctrl-p) and we'll talk about it in a civilized manner afterwards.

Monkey.

Friday, October 07, 2005 at 11:09:22 AM

@ NUTS,

All I'm saying that week in and week out these minor "incidents" go un-noticed, and it's up to captains to take responsibility for their team. So far the season has been very tight, and extremely competitive. If we can address an issue from within, meaning each captain gives their team a pep talk, then this might zero in any possible future incidents.

I am not here to babysit, or start pointing out individual players, all I am asking is for captains to make sure that their players are aware of the rules. Believe me, and IM knows that I am not afraid to speak my mind, and if I knew that a member of IS was playing not in the best spirit of the game, I would put him in their place.

No reason why we can't fun, and finish this season on a high!!!!

PS:- I just can't understand why people can't take constructive criticism as a means of improving, rather than thinking it's always a personal attack!!!!

Friday, October 07, 2005 at 12:37:10 PM

Maybe you should think how you address the issue? Not saying you did bad or good.

You don't have to let go of one rope before grabbing the other. But you'll have to let go of one if you want to swing forward.

Friday, October 07, 2005 at 2:10:40 PM

@ Triv,

Problem with the world is that everyone has gone politically correct mad. We are to afraid to say the way it is, instead we bend around the bush and achieve nothing. We are afraid that we may offend someone. There is an issue at heart, all I am trying to do is bring light to it, address it and then move on.

The way I see it, I am sure that people have noticed my postings and will surely endevour to be more careful.

SSMe

PS:- Thanks for the feedback Triv, good or bad any feedback is better than none.

PSS:- Polish that turret cause the Sloth's are coming your way for a real gun shooting session next week.

PSS:- Thought I would ad an extra one just to be annoying.

Hey, are we non-captains allowed to speak out in the forums now? I would like to know why another team's captain is sending me PM's regarding concerns in league games instead of sending them to Lonewolf. Hrmmm.

As soon as you mentioned it, I announced that any of our players will sit out games for diving.

This is just a heads up on HA schedule and what we need for servers !
On 10/27/05, 11/17/05 we have a double header and on 11/03/05 we have to play 1 full match (against TDR) on our map then run to their map and play just 1 game to make up for the game 2 from last time we played them ! B)
