Yea, and to make sure vets with a super modified tank wouldnt go arround killing noobs, there would be some servers that are noobs only
Ya like you have to be a certain rank or or level to go in certain servers and a server where everyone can join a server where you can't supe up your tank and servers where you can make it the strongest fastest or any of the embetween
Yea, like you have lvls, and there are some servers for like lvl 1 to 10, lvl 10 to 30 and lvl 30+ and then theres a server for all lvls!
When we create a server we could choose the lvl we wanted to joing the server, like for lvl 1 to lvl 30 (would keep vets out but noobs in :))
And all sorts of avatar like Photon blades on the sides of your tank spiked treads for better traction spiked tires to tear your opponents up spiked ramp to run into your opponents a sword to use instead of ammunition for close combat(I like big swords :P ) Being able to stock up on power-ups pulse lasers new unlockable and buyable tanks like The Mole which digs underground and surfaces to attack The sub which lives in the fog or water and launches rockets or launches seismic charges Helicopter which launches missiles and has a machine gun The Skul tank which launches photon energy The Sniper tank which has a long range scope and is very fast but low armor. Levels like General Private Seaigant lueatinent and other ranks special ranks for special events like Exile or Ronin or samurai shogun or Berserker Drunken master :P and all sorts of stuff I could think of alot of things.

MAKE TRIGGERS COMPATIBLE WITH THE GAME !!!

Shotgun Rockets, Nukes , Predator mode, Time rift mode, tridamage mode, Gattling gun, Machine gun, laser, pulse laser, railgun, RPG, grenade launcher, shotgun, missile launcher, seeker launcher, grappling cannon, flamethrower, fire mines, jet pack, invulnerability, shockwave cannon, freeze ray, a-bomb launcher, and other power ups I'll think up of later.
Or, they could tighten up the game engine and the physics, clean up the networking code, and add more game types.
TT2 should be better, not "prettier."

I think it should be prettier AND better. We all know TT needs that but I'm just saying what else could be in it just giving it ideas no one likes a game that just has good physics a clean network and more game types it has to be aesthetically pleasing to everyone if not then why would anyone buy it? These are just ideas to make it prettier but I know it needs more work on the interior. :P
^ better involves COMPLETE COMPATIBILITY with all torque commands and codes etc....
see, with everything they left out of TT, like triggers and certain abilities, it would be better
more game types, weapons, gameplay in general... Everything would be improved
One of the best things about TT is it's simplicity.

Yes its simplicity is what makes this game fun but TT2 will be different and pretty much the same hopefully there will be some different servers than there are now and retro servers for TT fans who preferred the old TT but I think all of us would like a lil' more variety when it comes to p-ups and tanks.
Thats what I like about you Pyronin; you have a great sense of what everybody wants yet you are still geating what you want.
By the way you missed a power-up option; Invisibilty Mode or Assasin Mode.

Well I think they should stcik with the three power-ups since the cycle through power-ups are faster and more effective.
I think there should be a super powerful weapon as a power-up, but appears very rarely. This weapon will destroy some of the 5 tanks in the area! XD
And yes, simplicity is very clever for those people that make games. Take for example PacMan. That game is simple but yet addictive once you get into the game. The gameplay is also important.
Thanks OverKill, this thread will recognize some thoughts for TT 2 in the ThinkTanks community. Also I like the Ivisibility mode too.

Well you know in ThinkTanks that the map is still nin one peace after all the shooting and all the stuff we did. Well lets make the map real ! So when the game is almost over the map will be a wasteland. I mean this will make the game more exciting! :)

^ I think I thought that up already...anyway I think we need a more accurate radar with it saying who is where distance and the terrain. And why not have special events? Like bot vs. Human wars. Maybe choose to be a bot or human and if you win awards you get medals on your tank, maybe have a new race of tanks instead of bots or humans have alien tanks hmm? New brains and all.

Besides the amount of shells wasted in this game would lead having the map not be a wasteland but more like the entire map is in the fog and so we all die.
That is unless there is the submarne tank that Pyronin mentioned earlier. B)

Wooooah... And overkill was talking about a mega server... Could you not do that by making everyone in it host a little piece or by having lots of mods somehow sandwiched together side by side and you could move between them all
Lol, or just use my mod. Massive! Square size about 8000!
And another idea. Nuke Bombs. Kills all but you. 1 charge per reload. Reloads automatically every 5 minutes. Cannot reload by using reload gate. Also a special Nuke Bomb gate. Where you have to cross a series of platforms to get to it and then you have to get back. Poisonous fog at the side of it. Fall into it, instantanious death.

People are also talking about add-ons for your tank... Would it not be better if yo had a handicap so that the games aren't dominated by one superskillful player and so that it would be more close games?
Although I have to agree about the spikes on your bumpers being a brilliant idea
Or would it be possible to make the game back-compatible in some servers so tt1 and tt2 players could play together? Like have one server set aside for that and the rest seperated between 1 and 2.
You could make a free expansion pack to make it possible for the tt1-ers.

1. Like I said awhile back there needs to be servers for avatar or "add-ons" being able to be equipped and servers where it is just your tank, you, and many tanks preventing your victory.
2. Well lets think of the ranks.
General, Cheif, Master, Samurai, Shogun, Ronin, Seagant, Leuitinant, Private, Ninja, Betrayer, Coward, Pacifist, Swordsman, Noob(jkjk), Camper, Killer, Rogue, Hunter, Loner, Sniper, Juggernaut, Bullet Magnet, Scout, Jumper, Doctor, Psycho, Stealer...uhh can't think of anything else so far but these could be either ranks for your tanks, some maybe only possible to get by doing something special, or maybe for end of game bonus points.
3. Ok there needs to be some kind of currency or something so people can buy avatar for their tank and cost money and have to have a certain amount of players in the army to make an army so there will be limited armies.

Hey Pyronin, good idea. If only there could be a badge for each one.
Then it would make playing TT much more interesting than just driving and shooting.

Tank idea poisin tank (if you bump into it you will die)
1. Everytime you start a new clip of bullets you have to "empty" your cartridge and recharge but this would be automatic. I thought this would just be a cool thig to do.
2. A bomb powerup in which you can detonate at any time
3. A "leech" powerup which drains the energy of its victims and is acumulated into the one who sent it.
4. More effects to the explosions, they are sorta plain right now
5. More gametypes
6. A powerup which is extremely powerful but requires a minimum amount of people to activate
7. 2 weapons on tanks; one powerful weapon but takes a long a$$ time reload and the default weapon
8. Auto aimer powerups
9. Homing powerups

1) This would go well with a laser useing tank. For example I used up my batteries and I have to wait for it to recharge.(been said but what the hay)
2) Also been said by...me I believe, it would be a detonation charge and when you get through all your lil' bombs you want to set up you pull out the switch and Boom!
3) So you fire a projectile at a tank and when/if it hits the target it will drain its health and give it to you, but it should only grab like half of the tanks health and if the tank hits a rock(where the leech is) it should fall off or something like that.
4) More effects like a crater and maybe a lil' recoil once you fire?
5) Gametypes like Survivor and different versions of it CTB (capture the base), CTF (capture the flag), Territories (you hold an area and gain points counting on how many areas and how long you hold them), Raceing, a game where you upload something onto a computer set up a bomb or something like that?
6) Not sure what you mean there.
7) You have two weapons one default and another something like a laser powerful but very short lasting and can only use it every...minute or so and you can switch back and forth whenever you want?
8) Basically a homing missile or maybe a special sniping weapon using a targeting computer.
9) ^ like that. You hold you reticle onto a tank then after the red cirlce is around the target you fire and hit homes in and follows it then Boom!
Well I think we should have exploding mines that we can release or gernades

Yes eagle I have said that before just in a different thread...if you ever find the power ups for TT2 thread please bump it up.

Well in some ways there have been enough MODs out that we should be really talking about a TT3.

No but if you think about it a mod that added new features like a tunnel wouldn't be that hard to create as a matter of factly. Just add in alot of rocks and you've got a maze. Things like these are now very common. But anyway, I'm rambling including the fact that I have no current or fresh ideas. ;)

Instead of all this talk of new power ups. Why not just make new tanks. They should be like a normal light, heavy. Or medium. Though have a cool recharge attack. This would be unfair, so why not decrease the initial power of the primary weapon and even it out. How does that sound for a bright idea! XD
