I remember when PTT was an interesting concatenation of young and old. The community seemed to be an amalgamation from all perspectives of any given topic and it made for very interesting debates. It seemed like we could have fun discussing just about anything. Sure we had silly squabbles, but mostly there was a fun and intellectual banter..... Those times are clearly over. The degenerates of the community have become the vocal majority and have diminished PTT in much the same way that they eventually ruined the GG forum.

I have been away lately and every time I stick my nose into this forum, I find nothing but kids slamming each other, incredibly poor grammar and even worse spelling. I see nothing but testosterone-laden punks arguing about who is the bigger man....in a forum, this is about the most ridiculous thing in the world.

Then there are the never-ending mental-midget trolls who define themselves by their ability to disrupt the fun other people are having. These people have proven themselves to be the most pathetic of all. Something is truly lacking in their lives, and they find some false sense of self by being jerks.... What kind of misfits these people are! Unbelievable bottom feeders who probably have no real-world relationships.

Clearly there are still some vets that visit the forum from time to time, and there are some kids who are totally respectable in how they handle themselves here. There are also some good forum topics interspersed among all of the arguments and name calling.... But not enough to make me feel good about spending my time here anymore.

It used to be that I visited here several times a day and actually looked forward to what new topic has been started, or to see where a thread that I had started may have gone... But now I only feel embarrassed when I visit here. Embarrassed that I keep coming back to a place that has degenerated into inane banter, arguing, name calling, and the ever-present adolescent chest thumping of which clan is better.... As if the fucking clan means ANYTHING.

If you read this far, thank you. I expect a flurry of fourth-grade insults as replies.... So have fun.

Too bad, this used to be a great place to come to for fun, interesting, and stimulating conversation.

It is all yours now.....

Ahh, I agree with TG, but also with get some. The trolls don't bother me that much. Teens are teens, that's what some of them do. Jerks are everywhere, as are bullies. We can either let them dominate us or quietly STAND.

There are a lot of vets I've been missing lately and I'm sure they all have their reasons for not being here, but their absence is NOT going to improve PTT. I miss the better times, but then it's for better people to begin better threads and maintain the conversations. I think we're skilled enough at this point to recognize the fools and ignore them.

So let's have a homecoming, dress the lesbians in pink leather and have another round! XD

Yup, I'm back, but only because we got a new wave of moderators that have hammered this forum into shape. In context of when I wrote this thread, PTT had gone to hell. The moderators have done a great job bringing PTT back from the dead and making this a fun place to visit again.

It's quite a shame I agree. I bet I'm the youngest one in this thread right now Lol. I know where to draw the line from serious and stupid...sometimes, but Tankgirl is right. On the game itself and here it is always who has the better score and who's tougher. I used to be like that but I grew up and so should they. A person's will power is not determined by their score of the game and how good they can shoot the other and how many times they can beat the other, it's about having fun in the game and respecting others. Like I said...i'm probably the youngest in the thread and my words and grammer may be flawed and insignificant but I know exactly what Tank girl is talking about and those fools that post insults at each other just for the sol purpose of proving who has the bigger mouth are empty minded and full of their ego that probably isn't there and their trying to grow it.

I myself have had experiences like this in other forums and have delt with the megalomaniacs of their own ego quite severly and have brought them down to have them close their wide mouths so they stop trying to prove who can insult the other better and who has the bigger guns. For god sake, it's just a game. If games were taken seriously, it'll be politics. Stop bickering at each other and learn from the older ones and respect them for they often teach you matters that may help you in the future.

I probably made no sense in my lines but that's what I had to say.

Oi...I'm new but I ain't like those you mentioned :S I have relatively good spelling (though my grammar was never that good). I am also pretty damn smart ;) But yes, just from the vibes I was getting from this place, I could tell times have changed around here.

I join a different forums a year ago...and let me tell you, over that year the place changed considerably...and I wish I could travel back in time and relive those moments all over again :(

IGNORE --- More folks need to get the script and use it. I use it liberally - with just a hint of garlic. If those players using profanity, vulgar or just being a horses-ass are ignored - it does silence them. Maybe they will get the hint. Works great - less filling.

As far as the forum. This is one of the first times I have spent much time looking at these threads. I had a little time to kill before margaritas and faijitas this evening and thought I would look around a bit.
