Page : 1 : <2>

All,

Looking for 3-5 good players willing to work together as a team and develop and practice new tactics for the squad. What I'd like to wind up with is a squad of at least 4 who can take on twice that number and win, even if the enemy has very good players.

At least one of the recruits should have the ability to host a server. Unfortunately I am behind a firewall that prevents me from doing so.

In the beginning, membership in this squad is not exclusive, but if the idea works I'd like it to become exclusive in that none of us belong to any other armies.

If this doesn't work, then the squad will disband, and we can all go our separate ways, hopefully having learned new things and had some good practices.

Master TMO

Additional edit: (02/07/04) - Since interest looks like it might be higher than I anticipated, I'll put a cutoff date of 2/11 on this. Also, if I have too many applicants, I'll have to weed down some. Since one of the things I'm looking for is folk who can come up with new tactics, I'll use that as one of the criteria. If you want to, you can email me one idea/strategy/concept at tmo_2@yahoo.com . If I need to weed thru the applicants, I'll use those ideas to do so. Oh, and also I need to know who has the capability of hosting a game. I do need at least one person in the group who can host games.

Current Applicants : Ben; Deathatron; LC50 ; OM; Roach

OP4 Volunteers (Opposing Forces): Baklava; Bolo; Snow;

Okay, roster cuts have been made. There are 4 open slots - those who have been cut may re-apply for the slots if they wish but will receive no special treatment. Let me know who is still interested in this...

For the team or Opfors?

This is for the team itself. I know several folks requested berths on the team and were turned down. There are slots now open if you're still interested and can participate.

We would have to determine a time that works best for the team as a whole.

But can you speak English? XD

And are the two of you willing to drop your memberships in the other groups for this? I need to talk it over with OM, but I am considering doing that now, just to make sure that the folks I get are committed.

Was this the beginnings of TBML?

@get some,

No team battle mode was orginally started almost 3 years ago by a player called Foulplay, he dropped out around half-way through the first season and I picked it up and continued it from there. Originally there was only 4 teams named after maps - synaptic, medulla ect ect , Physco scrum came shortly after, these are the two longest running games/leagues with some of us original old-timers still sheparding them along ( grin )

Wow...i always thought PSL came first.

This makes me feel I need to rethink my conclusions on the whole "Chicken and Egg" theory.

Well physcoscrum and battlemode are almost the same age, scrum and tbml are pretty well created at the same time. TBML took longer to get off the ground though.. But being one of the oldest left in this game I can still reme,ber when scrummer did not use any guns to speak of it was a pure driving game for quite a while.
