Evenings are better for me except wed.
I'll check into times for this week; for me, days are wide open (M-F till 6AM-2PM Pacific) and evenings (M-W) are probably good as long as we start no later than about 6PM pacific. Thursday and Friday nights are out. Saturday and Sunday are spotty.... Ben, Dar...?
More important than time is LAG and who will host. Last game took us a while to find a good server for the opposing team (Zimp, DB, MP) due to lag issues. For Dar, Ben, and myself, -z-'s PTT servers work fine, as do PREY's Psycho server. If it's fine with Team 1, we'd prefer -z-'s servers because he can easily start, restart, as well as moderate the game if needed. Of course, this depends on if -z- would be available and kind enough to host and be present during the game (-z-?).
Thanks!

I think evenings are better for team 1 as we always play together in the evenings. A lot will depend on -z-'s availability. As late in the evening as possible would probably be best for all. Hanky, J ??
5:00 - 8:30 pm Pacific starting times this week.
The weekend is more wide open.
Dar
I have no problems in organising a server for whatever time/data is agreed, but it would be good to have a backup server organised as well in case not everyone is lag-free on the PTT one.
-Z-
I can host as a backup to PTT. As long as we r all in usa it will be good.
Team 1 thought maybe tues night?? 8:30pm PST?? If not then suggest another day/time.
There are different time zones, ages, school and work schedules here so some effort and flexibilty will be required to set this up.
Lc50 stated no later than 6pm pacific M-W.
Please read the posts.
How about weekend times?
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Looks like sat is all we've got. LC when can u play on Sat? Im wide open sat.
I am NOT open any time Saturday... Yikes. Mebbe Friday night? Sunday afternoon/night?
J and hanky said that sundays are bad. They might make an exception but I dont know. LC said Fri nights are out. This really sucks. If hanky and j cant play sun then we are screwed. I asked them to make an exception. Team 11 please repost your mutual availability between Wed after 9 PST and Sun 12 PST. Team 1 is pretty open except sundays. Please be more open as this is the championship. J and hanky cant post right now so I am team 1 spokesperson.

FYI - Tanky works 10:30a- 7p on sun
Thursday 5-9pm Pacific
Friday 5-9:30 pm Pacific
Saturday 8am - 12:30pm Pacific
Sunday 8am-12noon, 4:30-9pm Pacific (between noon and 4:30 may open up depending on my little league practice schedule)
Dar
J says anytime but sunday.
So either tonight, or Friday... I just got sick, so I'm waiting to see how my times open up...Saturday might be an option after all.
I'm having a tough time getting on this site for some reason, and sometimes my posts don't make it....
Anyway, here are my available times:
Thursday: Before 2PM Pacific
Friday: Before 2PM Pacific
Saturday: Maybe before 7AM pacific; otherwise 4PM-10PM pacific
Sunday: 1PM-3:30PM Pacific
LC50
Tonight is out since LC cant make it after 2pm PST. Friday is out since LC and dar's schedules conflict. Sat is out because LC and dar's schedules conflict. Sunday is out because dar and lc's schedules conflict and if dar can make it tanky works and j doesnt do sunday's. Team 1 is open except sun. Dar and LC please try to make a better effort to be open. I am gonna ask tally to lay down the law. Whatever he says goes.
Go to the GG forum and goto the 3 on 3 thread. Everyone can post there. Many are still having problems with PTT forums.
TEAM 11 post some days and times and I will try to accommodate you kids...
Lets Rock!
Friday 7pm sounds good with me...
Lets Rock! ;)

Saturday 5-9:30pm pacific would be fine for Dar
Ben?
Saturday at 6pm Pacific?
Bless this sickness. Saturday is suddenly completely free. 6 pac is good.
He shoots, he scores!
Team 1?
I GET OFF WORK AT 7PM PACIFIC ANY TIME AFTER THAT... :S
How about 8PM Pacific... Would that give ya enough time to get home Tanky?
Ben, Dar?
LC50
Sounding promising.. I will make sure a server is up on saturday evening for it - so long as a time can be agreed by people.
-Z-
8pm pacific on Saturday fine for Dar
Dar has no map preference
ALLLLL RIGHT... Lets rock and roll. So to confirm the day and time is sat 02/07/04 @ 7:30pm PST = 9:30pm Central. Is this correct??
Bolo
I rock at all lush maps
8pm Saturday is perfect I will be there...
@ Z have the server up..

7:30 then,
Or is it 8:00?
I hear both
Dar
I could do either 7:30 or 8 PM pacific. Ben and Bolo seem to have a preference for 7:30.... Could Tanky make that?
Otherwise, let's stick to 8PM, as originally suggested.
Mr. Zoggles: Would you be kind enough to set up a random Lush server at 7PM Pacifc? Would you available to host the game?
EVERYONE (-Z- TOO)---- PLEASE CHECK YOUR EMAIL FOR THE PASSWORD.

Unfortunately, I'm not sure if the email server is working at the moment.. If its not, then I will have the password off and will be checking the door to keep those without tickets out.
-Z-
8PM I'm there
So who won???
Lc50, Dar, Ben won game 1 10-6, game 2 cancelled due to lag/server problems. Game #2 to be replayed soon.....
Dar
I hosted the game 1 and could not play because of lagg totally bogged my system down. But if team 11 wants to take the lame win for game 1 so be it. Were just going to have to out score them by more than 4 points which is what team 11 beat us by. Final score on game1 was 10 to 6. But the team agreed to take the games over on Z server We all agreed that if we are playing we are not hosting.
So is team 11 backing down on their word?
Last edited: Sunday, February 08, 2004 at 3:40:50 AM
I'm fine with whatever.... If you want to totally replay game 1, thats ok with me. I wouldn't want to win the match with excuses and questions echoing in the background. If others don't want to replay the first game maybe there could be a compromise... I.e., let's play 2 games and give Team 11 a 2-point head start for the "unofficial" 11-7 game.
I'm going to grab Tally's hammer and hit myself till this all makes sense....
LC50
Good Lord Hanksta were you just completely not paying attention to the in server discussion with all the parties involved?
Am I wrong or was there a completely different agreement made after the game than what Tankster is representing here?
Looky here Daddy Dar (baba). The games were obviously disrupted by lagg both games. I know you were looking over dars shoulder cause he's your son but I think in a championship game with a magnitude such as this one should be played on a server that is not hosted by the players invoved in the tournament.
It cripples the player who is hosting.Like I said in my post if team 11 wants to take a lame win then they shall have it.Now why you are speaking out on behalf of team 11 is a mine boggle to me.
Another thing I noticed is your son Dar sure plays a lot like you....hmmmm :o
Last edited: Sunday, February 08, 2004 at 6:10:22 AM
I'm not speaking out on behalf of anyone.
Obviously the decison of what happens should be up to the teams involved.
I only am commenting that what I observed said did not match your conclusions. Perhaps I was wrong...I was a mere observer.
However to malign Team 11's win in the first game as "lame" after the fact is.... I will shut up now.
Cheap shot on the edit at 12:50:24 Tankster.
(the final line for thsoe reading later)
Besides anyone knows dar is a better player than me...sad but true,,,
Baba, while I am sure you are a good player, and when team 4 played against us I beleive you saw that I am a "team" player with great skills. Which were good games! I appreciate your concern about who won and who didn't win, however, I believe that is really up to the two teams who played team1 and team 11. When we had difficulty setting up the server jangles was laggy, I was laggy, and no one else could host, after seeing that there was nothing else to do we "all" decided to play again on Monday, but if you are speaking for team 11 and they would like to keep it as win, that would be fine. I am a team player, and this is a good game that seems to be getting ugly, and thats not ok. I play for the scrum, and want only to do what the two teams agree upon. Its not a game if there are too many questions, and everyone should be in agreement. Not even I can speak for my team it has to be a mutual agreement.
Sorry for the misunderstanding but since you were speaking for team 11 ,I believed you were playing for team 11.
We all agreed their was lagg and thats why we agreed to play on Monday.
On Monday let the game begin...
I have never doubted your skills. They are among the best (some would say the best) in Think tanks.
I do not speak for team 11.
I was in team 4 and we were soundly trounced by your team, lol.
As dar is 10 years old he does not have independent internet access or the knowledge (yet) of navigating the forums and email. I help to communicate times to his teammates. I will sometimes transcribe or paraphrase things he wants said on the forums or in email, in which case I sign his name. As such our seperate identities can appeared blurred I'm sure.
I also have a hard time holding my tongue sometimes, can have a bit of an edge to my comments - some would say condescending ( and they are probably correct) - and probably overstep my bounds as a facilitator of my sons (dar and kj's) think tank's involvement.
Sorry for butting in.
I'll step back.
Baba
My my my I can feel the love. Can u feel it???? Dam.
OK. Since tally is the mastermind behind this whole thing his majesty has made a ruling. I explained the situation and he said that we are to REPLAY BOTH GAMES. His reasoning is that if u combine the score from game 1 and tack on the game 2 score where we stopped, team 1 had a 1 pt lead. That is so close to even that it makes sense to restart from scratch. Also we are to replay both games on -z-'s server. If -z- is unable to host we are to play on Tally's server. Monday 6pm PST may not be a suitable time for tally so if -z- cant make it then we will have to agree on yet another time (OMG...). If anyone has a problem with this on either team please contact tally not bolo. Thanks.
-z- PLEASE respond and tell us if you are willing and able to host. PLEASE. Thanks -z-
Errm... We actually would have a 3 point lead if you add the scores from when we stopped in 2 to the score in one.... 11-7 + 4-5 = 15 - 12...
Team 1's method of guarding their chances for the win is quite funny. Bolo seems to be approaching it logically at least.
" if you are speaking for team 11 and they would like to keep it as win, that would be fine. I am a team player, and this is a good game that seems to be getting ugly, and thats not ok. None of us even said anything. You seem to have started the questions.
"Picking up where Baba left off"
Ben
Wow, I can finally post!
Guys, let's not get nasty. We were all cordial last night, we all want a good game, and we all want to get it done. I know it seems suspicious that Team 1 talks about lag - as we were down - but it ain't something new. The 3 on 3 thread has enough banter about it - with teams replaying matches and players exiting because of it. Just for the record, my ping at night is generally between 150-250. So I suffer more than others - though maybe not as much as Flea or Mars. The CPU lag I was experiencing last night was extremely unenjoyable - leapfroggin' everywhere and firing blanks. We're not talking a few jitters here and there. I don't mind being beat by the other team's skill, but not by lag. It's subjective, I know, but I think we all want the same entertainment value.
I concur with LC's idea of a full 2 games with Team 11 having a 3 or 4 point advantage. Let's get it played on -Z-'s server if possible as Tally's lag machine won't cut it. No one wants to win or lose with excuses flying around. But we all want a great game. At least that's what I want.
Jangles
Edit: I'd also be up for a 4 game/rotating map slugfest if we had the time.

By the way, tally said that we must play the same maps as before. He didnt say anything about giving either team a lead... Take it up with him...
Bolo
All right, if everyone is gonna get an attitude, here are my thoughts...
Team 11 if u want a 4 point lead then take it. If so we should play all 4 lush maps. Best 4 out of 5 games. Eliminate luck or lag factors. Neither team wants the win to be a fluke. Im sorry ben, but team 1 is not making excuses for losing. Hanky is the best scrum player on earth. Do u honestly think he only scores 1 goal or something like he did in the first game?? Funny how in the second game he already had like 5.... Funny that my kill count is always really high in 3 on 3. I got like 2 kills in the first game from shooting blanks. The 2nd game jangles got swiped several times... Ever heard of the jangy swipe?? Its HIS!!! And it doesnt usually happen to him!!! With the lag it did in game 2. Im sorry but without lag problems I think team 1 is gonna surprise you all.... Go ahead..call me an asshole I dont care anymore.

Ok folks.. The last round, the final match, two games, one trophy, one winning team, one losing team, one time and date needed...
