If you want to join, e-mail the coordinator of the team you wish to represent and they will get back to you with tryout information. If you make the tryouts, you go on to represent your team in the qualification match! The results of the qualification match will determine who's going to fight for what medals, in the Final Match!

This is a Saturday afternoon Tourney...

Jacob, please don't spam my thread... Thanks...

Okay,
more snafu on the olympic front. There was only one server set up for tbm and a bunch of no shows for team usa and europe. After we cleared out the server it was me and nuts vs dash and bimp. Thx to all 3 of you for your patience and good sportsmanship. It was a fun game going 2 on 2 despite bimp having some lag issues.

I dont really feel right claiming victory for usa as neither team was well represented. I guess I'll just post scores and let things get sorted out by stealth and the team captains. So the results were as follows:

Game 1
blue = 40
green = 39

Game 2
blue = 45
green = 36

Totals
team usa (blue) = 85
team europe (green) = 75

Thx again to dash, bimp, and nuts for a good game.

TEAM USA WHERE ARE YOU?

Saturday, September 11, 2004 at 9:39:23 PM

Oh yeah and thx for the scrum players in the finals. I felt like a fish outta water but no one made fun. I did ok in the qualifying match but my luck ran out in the finals.

Saturday, September 11, 2004 at 9:42:36 PM

@Cadc - I am sorry if my lack of response earlier disappointed you. It was not intentional. I AM excited. XD W00t!! W00t!! Job well done, man!

@get some: it is not limited to Team USA. I managed to get an entire Team Global team together (evidently we deserve a medal just for doing that! %) ), but no Team Canada to play against. 8o That whole thing took a couple hours out of a VERY busy day to no purpose.

@all: I will not be here next weekend, so assuming there will be a TBM game played, I've made Cadc Captain of the TBM team in my stead while I'm gone. Best of luck to all the players! I don't know if I'll have connectivity while I'm gone, but if I do, I can be reached at the email address in my PTT info.

@Team Global: Thank you all for being there today for me!!! I really, REALLY appreciate it!! Go kick some serious butt next week!

Sunday, September 12, 2004 at 4:49:06 AM

CONGRATULATIONS CADC ON WINNING THE TT OLYMPIC GOLD IN INDI SCRUM!!! TEAM PR / GLOBAL FIRST GOLD OF THE SEASON!!!

Disappointing turn out in today's Team Battlemode Qualification Match... Team Canada was a complete NO SHOW! And Team USA vs. Team Europe turned out to be a 2 on 2!!! The only team that had a full turn out was Team PR / Global!!! Good job Master TMO!!! Bravo on your efforts and due diligence!

@Bolo, Leopard, Blackfoot, and Limp Bizkit... tisk tisk tisk :( You're responsible for the attendance of your team! If you don't have a full roster, you should recruit!!! You've had 4 whole weeks to get a team together for today's event! I'm very dissapointed! :( what happened guys? :o Why'd you drop the ball?

Despite the lousy turnout, the show must go on! Because of Team Canada's no show against Team PR / Global, they automatically forfeit that the qualification match to Team PR / Global!

Team USA was victorious over Team Europe. Therefore, in next weeks FINALS, it'll be Team PR / Global vs. Team USA in server A for the Gold (loser takes the silver) and Team Canada vs. Team Europe in server B for the Bronze!

Good Luck! And have fun!!! ;)

Sunday, September 12, 2004 at 5:20:07 AM

Can someone send me the password to the Team BM final couse I forgot it.

Sunday, September 12, 2004 at 5:34:09 AM

I'm going to e-mail it to the team coordinators, they'll forward it to you. Just be sure they have your e-mail address.

Sunday, September 12, 2004 at 5:56:25 AM

SteAlth - just a reminder: Cadc is the Captain for the game next week. Make sure he gets the password to transmit to the players.

Sorry, Cadc. It's part of the job. XD

Sunday, September 12, 2004 at 6:45:34 AM

I'm not on any team. But I really want to. I'm living in sweden and got Thinktanks and I'm rather good.

Sunday, September 12, 2004 at 10:15:39 AM

Stealth,
I've spoken with bolo and he's agreed to me as a co-captain of team usa to help alleviate what has become a very busy schedule for him as of late. I am taking stock of team and will be recruiting new players if necassary. Could you email both bolo and me any olympic related info in the future so both of us can redistribute to team. Bolo is busy but not out of olympics. Thx.

Stortorp,
if no one takes interest in you and stealth and the other captains are ok with it team usa could use your help. Goto our thread and post your info after you get the ok.

Sunday, September 12, 2004 at 1:23:26 PM

Heh, alright Master TMO, I'll do my best :)

Cadc (SA) (Leader)

**..::I am thoroughly... amused:::..**

Sunday, September 12, 2004 at 1:27:05 PM

Stortorp, because you're from Sweden, you should be on Team Europe. Check with them first, and if they can't accommodate you, then you can be a fill in for one of the other Teams. Team Global has a pretty full roster for Battlemode, but both Canada and USA are shy. Team Scrum is soon to follow, I think it's a pretty open field.

Get Some, Thanks for helping out with Team USA! Very cool of you... Bolo, sorry you're tied up at work, I hope you get a break in the schedule soon. $ At the very least, I hope you're making lots of money! $ ;)

Thanks again,

Sunday, September 12, 2004 at 3:38:56 PM

NOOO! SteAlth, you can't do that. I say we do the match next week. Only because the server wasn't up at 6:00 Eastern time. And all the team members got confused thinking the match was only for Indy Scrum Finals thats why people thought the servers werent up. It was just Indy Scrum day. I really don't think its fair. Even when trying to join the TBM Game I was banned. Whats up with that?
FL

Sunday, September 12, 2004 at 5:25:18 PM

You shouldn't of been Banned... You're on Team Europe right? Why were you banned from the server? If you showed up, you should've been able to fight with Team Europe in TBM... Regardless of Team USA's poor attendance! They had four weeks to get a team together for yesterdays event, it's not your fault that they didn't. If you were there, it should of been a 3 on 2, who banned you from that server?

As far as doing the match over again next week, I'm afraid the show must go on! Each Team had 4 weeks to get a group of people together for yesterdays event. Out of each team, there should've been 5 people! That's 10 people in each server! If a servers not up for whatever reason, there's no excuse for someone to not set up a server! Out of 10 people, I'm sure someone would've been able to host.

I agree with the fact that it is unfair that you were not allowed to participate the the Team USA vs. Team Europe qualification match. If it was Team USA that banned you from that match, then I would be inclined to DQ them and put them in server B against Team Canada for the Bronze next week, giving Team Europe a shot at the GOLD against Team PR / Global in the Finals.

But if it was your own team than kept you from playing, then you guys shot yourselves in the foot and there's nothing I can do about that. The results will have to stand as they are.

@ All, I can't be there every week to be sure things get done! That's why we have to work together as group!

Well, SteAlth...my team probally thought that I can't be int eh game to make it fair but I think it was dash who banned me from the server. And have a bitch as a team. I'm quitting Team Europe! Any Team That Wants Me For BM is gladly fine to have me. I'm up for any team. (Let me just get a final im quitting) SteAlth please rethink this and instead of five just make it a 2vs2. Or 3vs3.

Sunday, September 12, 2004 at 9:05:37 PM

Fat Lips, Being Fair and having an Even Match are two different things! I understand the sportsmanship in wanting to have a 2 on 2, but on the other hand, I understand your frustration as well. But I'm begging you to give Team Europe another chance.

They should've kept you in the game and simply rotated the Players! Keep two people active at all times, when one person dies they sit out until the next person dies. Then that person sits out until someone else dies, so on and so fourth. That way, all 3 of you get to play, but there are only 2 people active at all times, making it a 2 on 2. That would've been FAIR and EVEN!!!

The reason I think you should give them another chance is because nobodies perfect. People make mistakes and I'm sure they regret this one! Had they thought of my rotation idea, I'm sure they would've done it.

As far as rethinking the structure, I'm afraid I can't do that. Team PR / Global has a full 5 man team and Get Some, the new co coordinator of Team USA, assured me that they'll have a full roster next week as well. After Team Canada's no show fiasco, I'm sure Leopard will step up to the plate and get a full group together for next Saturdays Finals.

I'm sure your team regrets their decision, please don't give up on them. They need you now more than ever. No need to kick them while their down.

Okay...the gold medal match was a mess...but here are the scores anyway.

Game 1
usa = 40
global = 39

Game 2
usa = 45
global = 38

Total
usa = 85
global = 77

Im too pissed to describe what happened now. Stealth I will email you with the details....there was alot of bs in this one though.

Saturday, September 18, 2004 at 9:44:05 PM

Dorko,

When you e-mail Stealth please copy me, and keep me posted too. When you look at it hind side it wasn't a bad effort from X-Swat and me, considering there was NUTS!, bigiron, get some, and someone else I can't remember now.....

Global tried our best considering the amount of resistance we put up.

I'm sry I mist it all :[

Slept over a friends howse, left at 12:00 (just like I was planning) then my dad decides to take us to the movies as usual 12:20- 2:30 (I'm like.. Ok) the he got the idea to drag us into the store to work for 1 hour 2:50- 3:50 (ok, I can still make it, just no more!)... "Oh! Lets go eat somewheres and through away 3 more hours!"... (AAAARRRRGGGHHH!!!!)

It was like 6 something when I got back.... I'm really sry :S

QUOTE: When you look at it hind side it wasn't a bad effort from X-Swat and me, considering there was NUTS!, bigiron, get some, and someone else I can't remember now.....

SerialKilla is just being FUNNY; he knows DARN well it was ME...Tied him for highest personal score in the first game!
(I should maybe change my handle to "ShootsAtSmokers, lol!)

BUT, by any SANE measure, those 2 games were just TOOOOOO messed up to count as ANYTHING!

SK and X-swat went against FOUR of us in the first, and only lost by 1 POINT!!! FINE play by any standard!

The second game was a total NIGHTMARE of people showing up late/leaving early! I gotta give props to everyone who TRIED to keep the game on-track!

My vote for most INSANE moment: When SUPRA dropped by to chat in the middle of game 2 and asked: " Is this the actual game?"
_R_O_F_L_!!!!!

NO, THAT game should NOT count! The only reason to record it is so we can all tell the funny story to some noobs someday!

Sincerely,
Dick

RWS,

I knew you would appreciate my humour. It was a crazy game I mean I was playing against a psycho (err the guy is totally NUTS!), a Dork, someone who shoot scissors, and a big iron that wanted to steam roll us!!!!

All in a hards days work at the office. GG to you all.

SK

Sunday, September 19, 2004 at 9:02:52 AM

Serial killa and x-swat...i apoligize for not recognizing your effort. You both played hard and it was not cool that your team didn't show. Thank you for sticking it out and not making a big stink about it.

Okay..i've calmed down now so I'll list what I felt went wrong yesterday.

1 no shows for team usa
2 fatlips being sick and having to sit out (thx for the help however and get better fl!!! )
3 no shows for global
4 no olympic server a (had to use nuts! Server, thx)
5 needed 2 last minute recruits (bigiron and cloud) which we ended giving cloud to global to make it 4 on 3
6 x-swat saying we should be penalized 5 pts after we all agreed to start. (sry that annoyed me)
7 cloud lagged out 1st game
8 treav shows up late (mid 2nd game) and then SWITCHES SIDES BECAUSE GLOBAL "ASKS" HER TO!!!!
9 no captain for global
10 treav saying something about global "asking her to scout usa for them" after the match

The treav situation gets my vote for the most insane moment. Treav was recruited by team usa. If she had any affiliations with team global it should have been mentioned. When she switched sides mid game w/out even asking for my approval I lost my s**t. Something stinks here and I'm not exactly sure what it is.

For the record I didnt mind supra coming in. He is well respected and I know he wouldn't knowingly interfere or do anything detrimental to an ongoing match. Truth is at that point the game had become the biggest snafu I've seen yet on tt. I dont feel that it was a true representation of usa vs global but usa did everything it could to feild a full team, get an acceptable server running, and playing out the game. We gave team global 1 of our last minute recruits and then treav defected in game.

I feel usa did everything we could to give an honest and fair effort therefore I would like the score to stand. X-swat and serial, you should be commended for your effort but your team let you down and I dont think its fair for usa to be penalized. Those are my feelings on it and I'll let stealth, bolo, cadc and myslef make the decision on what happens next.

BIG thx to fatlips, nuts!, runs with scissors, and bigiron for your guys patience and support. Thanks guys. Stay tuned...

Sunday, September 19, 2004 at 1:04:05 PM

Ok, the games are at 6:00 EDT? Holy crap, that's dinner time!!! I can't make those times!

Sunday, September 19, 2004 at 4:00:48 PM

Agreed. Team USA wins the gold. We made it to the finals by our opponents not showing up, I have no problem with losing for us not showing up.

X_SWAT and Serial Killa - sounds like you put up one hell of a fight. Thanks guys!

Treav has ALSO signed up for Team Global. XO This is a problem .

Treav - pick now. Which team are you on? I would imagine you're on USA, as you were evidently signed up with them first.

I will organize our team for Team Scrum and have it ready for this weekend. :P

Monday, September 20, 2004 at 1:57:51 AM

Wow, congratulations Team Canada on an amazing victory over Team Europe! I knew Canada had one hell of a Battlemode Team! I'm sorry you guys had to settle for bronze and hope you understand the decision I made in last weeks qualification match. @ Leopard, thank you for pulling thru!

@Team Europe, sorry about that, but you're still a solid contender for the overall Olympic Championship! Which is based on the total # of Olympic Medals you receive!

@Team USA and Team PR / Global, I'm sorry about the fiasco. I'll check with Dash to see what happened to server A. On Friday night he sent me an e-mail saying that it would be up and running, that was the last I heard from him. @Nuts, thanks for filling in as host.

@Coordinators, maybe it would be a good idea for each of you to delegate back up hosts from your team. Just in case something comes up.

@Tha_X and Serial Killa, sounds to me like you really held your own against an out numbering Team USA, congratulation! You definitely earned that Silver Medal!

@Get Some, sounds like you had a pretty stressful day! Sorry about that buddy! You've proven yourself to be an exceptional leader! I am very impressed with your sportsmanship, organization skills, and ability to cope under pressure! You leadership earned your team the victory!

CONGRATULATIONS TEAM USA!!! OUR TT OLYMPIC TEAM BATTLEMODE GOLD MEDALISTS !!!

10 treav saying something about global "asking her to scout usa for them" after the match

I deny emphatically and wholeheartedly this contention. XO We here at Team Global would NEVER stoop to such levels!! We are outraged that this has even been mentioned in public! We shall initiate proceedings against you for slander... Or is it libel? *scratches head* NEVER MIND THAT! You shall be hearing from our crack legal team of Dewey, Cheetum & Howe very soon on one of them!

:P

Monday, September 20, 2004 at 4:04:33 PM

@ stealth
thanks for the kind words. Yes it was stressful. I felt like I was doing a terrible job but you reassured me that I did the best I could.

@ TMO
all I know of you and cadc is decency and good reputation. I meant no offense towards you and team global and I do regret even bringing it up. What treav said was almost in passing and she dismissed it immediately. It was suspicious but I was more concerned about what treav was doing rather than thinking team global was participating in scandal.

LET ME MAKE THIS CLEAR.....i have nothing but respect for you and cadc. In addition your team fought well and represented both team global and themselves extraordinarily well. I'm not concerned any longer about what happened other than figuring out whether treav is for the us or global. I havent even spoken to her about it as I've been very busy the past couple of days. Anyway allow me to appoligize if I suggested anything unscrupulous about you or any of your teams character. That was definately not my intent.

Monday, September 20, 2004 at 8:20:38 PM

LOL!!

Get Some: Sorry. I guess I wasn't clear that I was joking. That whole post was pure jest. Try saying the name of the lawfirm outloud... ;)

An apology is unnecessary. I look forward to facing you and your team in future events.

Monday, September 20, 2004 at 8:36:09 PM

Lol...i see, but still even in jest you had a good point and I wanted to make myself clear. Thx for the understanding! :P

Monday, September 20, 2004 at 8:58:08 PM

@ Dorko,

Whilst Team USA deserve to hold that gold medal so rightfully in their hands, I would like a rematch for funs' sake as I feel like belting some dorks, some dude who's NUTS!, a gigantic iron, and some apache called "have got the runs"!!!!

Let me know if you are Dorky enough to accept this gratious offering... If you can't round up your team, a 1 vs 1 Dork belting sounds good enough for me!!!

LOL!!!!

SK
- Crazy & Confused but always TT's most wanted!!!

Tuesday, September 21, 2004 at 5:48:58 AM

I'll send out an email to the team and see what they say. In the meantime we can do a 1 on 1. That would be fun. Maybe tomorrow (wed) night?

Tuesday, September 21, 2004 at 2:17:19 PM

TS is in 4 days! GET READY USA! W00t w00t, But, the timer wont work for me, sigh. It's at 6:00 EDT, dinner.

Tuesday, September 21, 2004 at 11:13:53 PM

Alright guys, it seems that week after I have a campout, so there's no point for me to compete in this 1, but I'll play the qualification round anyways just for fun B)

Cadc (SA) (Leader)

Tuesday, September 21, 2004 at 11:20:06 PM

That's fine. If I get more than 5 showups I'll take into account that you can't make the next week, but if we have less than 5 we'll need you.
