If you want fuzzy logic, would you have talked to your dad the way you talked to me, or Nap, Rooster, LoneWolf?

Actually I have never exchanged e-mails with Lone or Rooster... But I have with my father and nap before.
The e-mails are quite similar.
Straight, to the point, and maybe a few swear words.

I left this e-mail out...
Bask in it's overflowing disrespect.

No. I ment I forgot to update the main.cs that belongs to my modwizard. No dso...
It's possible that you downloaded before the FTP got my transfer through... Try it again, re-install the entire script... Not hard, just replace everything in the editor folder.
When you have done that and you still have problems talk to me

Please stay at PTT,
War

Quite disrespectful... Lone, you better ban me for being mean to old people.

About keeping what you find to yourself... Go ahead.
People around here do enough of it already, you can fit right in.

I'd just like to correct something:

Art Crazyİ

^ I'd just like to add something...
-z- has the TT source, there are scripts now that we scriptors (Warfare, Canned and me, modwiz, Rollerball and IPJoin/ACAS respectadly) have gone to hell and back just to find a little line we had no way of knowing about! If I had the TT source, hell I could have done something like IP-Join in 10 minutes maximum!

So -z- may have done everything in a time where scripting was almost unexistant in the community, but he didnt work hard on them as we do now, even with all the help we have currently. (including TGE Demo and open source TGE games)

Actually that's not exactly correct. I created CTF, PosGrabber, and ModWiz v1 before seeing any of the source. It was because of CTF and ThinkTanksMania and so on that BraveTree allowed me to see the source and help contribute to the game. After getting the source, I began mostly to work on fixing a few exploits and implementing admin tools, tie-ins between the game and this web site, radar room, team tank colours and so on. 56k, myself, and others around at the time were figuring everything out as best we could from examing the console and some simple knowledge of TGE scripting.

@ -z- : [a bit of topic] But where to download PosGrabber? There's talk about a few times @ Modding Info, but I see no downloadlink

It was superceded by ModWizard - mind you I now no longer have the code for PG anyway. Not here in China at least..

@Cas
It's actually something really easy to do... So easy I don't have use for it :P

@-z-
Oh, well, sorry. I was told what I said, but it seems I was wrong.
Ty for correcting me :)

Wednesday, July 19, 2006 at 1:12:26 PM

No offense meant to anyone but here's my list

1. MonkeeMan
2. Rooster
3. Dash
4. Napalm
5. Wiz/triv

I think I just named off all the people that actually make playable maps for scrum. I dont get how ouch, repent, or dotz get on the lists I mean its just simple modwiz and special.cs tweaking. Dazzle, gq, nokta, t-bone, and racer445 are good runnerups but they dont exactly make the kind of scrum maps I would enjoy. Dazzle would be #1 on overachiever for rollerball %) then there's the "old" modders like nathan and 187. So they were the first to mod. Big woop, if only they were still here they could make it on the lists but face it. Their time is over... And then there are the scripters who think they deserve a spot on the list. Lol scripting isn't modding. And even if you've modded some, I'd suggest to stick w/ scripting.

This is just coming from a guy who enjoys good old fashion scrum rather than 1 shot 1 kill weapon mods.

T-bone

Thursday, July 20, 2006 at 8:07:27 AM

^ It all depends on who's playing. Some people only value those maps with good playing capability. Some people value the maps that look really good. IMO, the best maps are the ones that are very playable (scrum-wise) and still look good (meaning that Big Show's list is a very good list (except I'd put Roo on top, but then again, MM's mods aren't played often now-a-days) ).

Thursday, July 20, 2006 at 9:07:48 PM

I have said it before and I will say it again

You cannot really compare people who make mods for this game as everyone has their own unique style and way of approaching the creation of a map, and every modders maps play entirely different. Some modders just make terrain, some make weps, some script, some skin, some make objects, some takes risks, some test weeks before release, some have 24/7 servers, some host a map once and then it dissapears.

All modders are different. For example Roo makes completly different scrum maps from Napalm, Repent makes completely different Battlemode maps from Ouch, T-Bone makes completely different race mods from Person, so who's are best - who cares they all rock - why does someone always have to be best? Why cant you just enjoy what we modders make (it takles hours you know) instead of judgeing who is best, I cant speak for others but I dont really care who is best - I just like making maps and stuff

Friday, July 21, 2006 at 5:27:51 AM

I won't say who I think is best, but my favorite maps (for playing on, not looking at) are dash's.

Friday, July 21, 2006 at 5:47:51 AM

I agree whit ^^.

Friday, July 21, 2006 at 10:38:17 AM

I say, no one is perfect people have different views of mods, not everyone has been to certain mods so they dont know what to expect of how good or bad of a modder he/she is...

Monday, July 31, 2006 at 10:42:34 AM

I go to few mods and I must say that
the really well thoughtful mods are
at the least very popular mods.

1. 187
2.dash
3. Roo
4.Repent
5.nappy
