Ok, this is the third post where -v-'s mommy has been an issue. I'm in the EST as well as all of team CRUSH, we'll move a little, but not because -v-'s mom...

This is actually pissing me off the more I think about it...

I agree. Even though this is "just a game" it becomes more than that in a tournament. What -v- doesn't understdna is that we're not all living with mom & dad - a good portion of us work for a living and have families too. We all make sacrifices - time for him to make one as well.

The excuses so far for not showing up, and scheduling, have been pretty f'ing pathetic. Throwing up blood, mom wants to get on the computer, all of this crap; -z- addressed it when he announced this tournament. PLAY WITH WHO SHOWS. If you even THINK you may have a scheduling issue, then DON'T SIGN UP.

I remember the days....i had to kiss plenty of ass just to play nintendo....i would have never consistently made the honor role if it wasnt for nintendo....parents just DONT understand....during leagues and tournaments, I shut off my phone, chats, and lock my apartment door. NO calling from mommies, daddies, girlfriends, siblings, bosses, etc....NONE...i think my commitment is much to serious just to watch a cartoon about tanks...

Yeah... I've told my g/f that after this tournament I won't play ThinkTanks for 2 ta 3 weeks (well... Now it looks like after the next tournament) . Since I've started playing this game, a little more then a month ago, its ALL I TALK ABOUT!! I know she's getting sick of hearing it. She says "Not at all", but you know how women can get.

Son of a !!!! Well yes, it appears they never posted again. We tried for a rematch but it never got off the ground. I got an email from Cat that stated "I talked to her last night and it seemed to me that she agreed to let your team move on" and I wrote both of them back saturday morning telling one of them to post it, coming from them, and apparently they haven't been on the board since.

Sorry bout that. As you can see, there hasn't been any word from anyone else on my team or there's. I haven't seen em here or in the games.

In reference to -z-'s post: it's Moe's decision on who he considers the opponent to be. You are correct on the deadline for round 1 though - was 05-08-2004.

The reason I tought the whole time we were playing LilAlienD's team was the thread name:

CTF league round 2 game team CRUSH -V- LilAlienD

Like I said before, you guys figure out who team CRUSH is playing & we'll be there...don't matter to us, just want it fair & have a good competitive game if at all possible. I guess the other choice is we move to the next round without a game on a DQ ruling....but that's no fun for us...WE WANT TO CRUSH YOU :) :P XD

That was a shock to hear, but I guess understandable. I've been trying my best man. The good thing is, there's only one more week of this whole thing and the next 'bugless' tournament can start.

Well it might as well have just been 2 DQ's, but a brave LilAlien played 1 against 3 and unsurprisingly lost 58-0.

Team Crush through to the final, and a lot of players in the bad books.

Well the first one was spent mostly talking and waiting, during which they sat and racked up 40 points. The second we actually played and I managed somehow to get the score down to 18.

Sucks. Maybe next time.

@LilAlienD(FU) no offense, but had we been trying you would have been absolutely destroyed and you know it. It wasn't that you were trying hard and got 18 points, it's that we weren't trying and only got 18 points.

Be mad, post bad things about me, do whatever...

In the end I just don't want you thinking that MOE, (UF) Chief, and (UF) silbarcalis ONLY managed 18 points against a single player. We've been planning our defensive and offensive strategy for tonight's match since last thursday. We are a team that lucked out - each one of us are absolutely psycho about winning this tournament and plan on successfully defending it next tournament.

It was a valiant effort, but make ABSOLUTELY NO MISTAKE, team crush is here to win.

Ummm, Silbarcalis... I really wasn't saying anything w/ any disrepect to ya'll. Just pointing out that we played one game of 18-0, not -z-'s post of 58-0. I even said, I managed to "somehow", as in I'm a bit confused about it myself.

To know that you weren't "trying" kinda blows cause I stayed there to play, even if I knew I wasn't gonna win.

You are a helluva player - and I mean that. You just got screwed in the draft.

All three of us felt like crap about what happened, and it affected our play against you. We talked about it at length online and by email several times yesterday. Here is a quote from an email I sent:

Sorry for the delay - have been out celebrating our victory. Jose' Cuervo says “hi”.

I saw where -z- posted the score (he posted it pretty quick - is there a way he can observe the game?) but haven't seen lilalien's response yet. It's pretty obvious from the score from the first round that we were going easy on him - hell, I think part of the reason I felt bad and went at half-speed is how the game reminded me of “keep away” from elementary school. I think we all went easy on him: I didn't move half the time, passed by power ups, etc. I can't blame the guy for at least trying to preserve his dignity.
