Just so you know, InfiniteMonkey, cheating is not allowed.
Still want to play?
The Professor
PS - You just couldn't let the past stay there, could you?
@monkey,
Lol no problem monkey, dash bash or any other server dont care , it will be fun. :P
How do you sign up for this?
Saaay, I do have a spacebar. Thanks for pointing that out, Lep. ;)
Crow, the best I can do at this point is to put you on the reserve list. If someone would like to volunteer to captain the light team, perhaps they would want to rotate people in (once the first string is demoralized). XD
And I suppose we need to start discussing the host issue. I thought I would, but someone mentioned recording the game, so I guess they'd have to host in order to make their movie. What are we thinking for this?
So is Sept 25 @ 9pm EST looking good for all?

Good for me. HAve been cutting ass in the heavy - can't wait!!
2 items for the table:
1. Is quitter on the heavy team? He is the best heavy tank so he needs to be included...
2. AFTER one of the 2 teams wins, I would like to challenge that team with myself and several other players that I hand pick. I wont pick anyone from either team.
B
@Bolo
1. - I've tried to contact Killer77 and I haven't heard from him. Quitter doesn't have a posted e-mail address, so if you could let him know that would be great.
2. - So you want to play the winner of the series? That's cool. Would you want to use some of the alternates or a completely "Bolo" team?
Put me in for reserve then. I have it on good authority one of the lights won't be able to make it and I've been requested to fill his spot.

Too late for me. Sry.
I'll take his place for a heavy.
Can the moderators please unlock the Team Battle Mode Thread? I think all the fussing is over and since we will be starting the league again soon it'd be nice to have some discussion over it. Thanks in advance!
Crow,
there is a new thread for season 3. I know its mainly for signups now but im sure any points you'd like to discuss can be done there. B)
Thank you!
Damn, Sept 25 probably no good for me... I think I have company visiting, but I will check
Rabban - This Sunday (Sept 19, 9pm Eastern)? Just an idea.

@LC50 - First, you need to change that avitar. :) Second, this Sunday is fine for me, but I haven't heard much from anyone else. What does the rest of ye think?
Oh, Meathead is supposed to add his name to the roster, so this could get interesting.
PS - Meat, please don't reveal my alias in case you figure it out. ;)

Saturdays are always bad - especially if it's smack dab in the middle of date/drinking with friends/goofing off with friends time. Sunday would work well - anytime after noon CST.
Yes, the avatar... I feel much better! XD -z- has made some nice changes to the site since I've been away.

@ Rabban
That's my birthday - I will try but can't make any promises due to the wife.
Sunday the 19th @ 9 p.m. Eastern it is. Who's hosting?
Quitter has been sighted!
Therefore, I'll probably not be playing, but I should be able to host (if that's cool). Since I probably won't be in the game I can't see where my hosting will give the heavies an advantage (as if we needed it). If I do end up playing, I suppose we'll need another host (but with my aim I don't think it will make any difference anyway).
In any case, I'll have to look into recording the games.
Oh, and happy b-day Chief. XD
Ok all,
Proff is not available so we need another lite
As to date it will be
Bolo, leopard, Supra,Tankor and one to be named
Lep
yes! Au can play. You guys are in trouble - lep, au and I have been playing together for a long time! (let the bragging and friendly trash talk begin)
Jk - it should be loads of fun. I will email au the details.
History was made! XD
Some of the greats of this game participated and a fast paced, finger numbing time was had by all.
The final rosters:
Lights:
Leopard, au, supra, NUTS!, ROGUE, dash
Heavies:
Quitter, InfiniteMonkey, LC50, Chanman, GoForIt, Rabban
Game #1 Cranium Crater
Game #2 Hypothalamus Hills
Game #3 Medulla Mesa
An exciting three games, unfortunately they all went to the lights. :[ But the last two games were tight and I can't help but point out supra's advice to his teammates in the last game. ;)
But, in the words of the most famous heavy..."We'll be back!" B)

Was it recorded? And if so, how do I get a copy of it???
Man! In all of the confusion of getting the lite team together - I forgot to record.
Sorry all!
Dang it I had band practice and couldnt play or even post.
Sry but it looks like it worked out
LIGHTS RULE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BTW I didnt know about the 6 on 6 format....i might have trouble finding 5 other players...
B
@supra - :[
I was wishing I was able to participate on behalf of the "light" tanks team. Please let me know if you need a stand-in next time.
Looks like it would have been a blast!

That game was a blast. Although, my hand is now stuck in its mouse grabbing position from the incredible number of shots needed to take on the heavy tanks.
Just F.Y.I: I noticed that some maps really favored lights and other maps the heavy tanks. If the heavy tanks stay in a group in those heavy style maps I think the outcome would be different. Cranium Crater is definitely a light map because of the spawn points. It was easy for multiple lights to tackle a heavy that spawned away from the herd on Cranium. Medulla seemed to be better for heavies because there is a better opportunity for them to spawn closely together. I think Freud would be a good heavy map also because of the distinct sides of the field in which each team spawns. Hypo seemed to be about even for both teams.
P.S. I almost forgot. That really was a good idea Rabban. I think it would be great if one of the six TBM teams was an all heavy team. Any thoughts on that?

@all
Woohoo , thats what this game should be like all the time. High skill level with lots of fun and I got to beat up the old man (Quitter) just like in the old days. Lol :P
Anywho we should do this as a once a month dance card, with different maps each month, say frantic next month.
Thoughts?

Agreed! Too much fun! The Heavies were "amazing" - lite tanks dropping everywhere - but we prevailed. (whew!)
Good idea to start a series of games, perhaps on some custom maps, or even as Lep suggested, with combination of some others. Also, other lite tanks want their "turn" - and I think they should have a shot at these guys!
Yah, great fun for sure! I like the idea of some different or random maps. We should definintely do this again! Next time we should have less people, maybe 8-10; I think 12 ppl was just too much strain on the system lag-wise.
LC50
Agreed LC, but if we ever find a way to have 12 again without lag we have to do it. There was absolutely zero lull in the action with 12 tanks.

I like! I like!
So, I started a new thread to help us get the whole thing organized and sorted out.
PS - I wouldn't mind being the Team Heavy captain. XD
If you need another heavy, I can play. Email me at brent123321@comcast.net

I've talked about this enough.
Let's have a 5 on 5, light vs heavy, celebrity death match. I figure one evening of fun with a full rotation through all the Lush maps, best 3 out of 5.
Hopefully the "names" of the game will sign up and represent their tank of choice. Once we see who's interested, then we'll determine who plays and when.
I humbly submit myself as an alternate in case I'm needed to round out a team, but I'll be happy to coordinate this thing even if I don't play at all.
