Question is, what do we do now.. Do we stay here with the guys that made all this happen, or do we jump ship and go to the new PTT. Your thoughts?

^ I really don't understand your post, I'm more than sure and always have been that this was done with good intentions. I'm just pointing out that it looks funny that all the Site Admins are UF Officers, the Site Admins have total control of PTT2, so even though everyone says PTT2 is the same as PTT as far as Admins go it's not, this may or may not be a good thing only time will tell. I agree 100% with Roo, someone should have sent e-mails about what was going on with PTT.
Like I have said before I have an account on PTT2 but this will always be home. Oh and BTW PTT2 will go down in time and may be down as long or longer, then what will you do?

Roo has never done anything whacked as far as I know,

And I really don't understand this, at no point have I indicated Roo has ever done anything wrong!
This is not about Roo and never has been about Roo.

To restate what I posted here :

You two (Saw and CB) have the goal of a replacement PTT with your PTT2, not even trying to hide it. This is why they cannot exist side-by-side, because they aim to replace PTT, not work with it. Undoubtably, this will divide the community into two, as it already has started to do. However, I will not disrespect what -z- and DanMac have done for this community, nor will I abandon the place I started my TT life. That's here, and no amount of "shiny things" and "works in progress" on PTT2 can ever change that. Therefore, I am boycotting PTT2. Will this do any good? Perhaps not, but I for one will not go there, except to sign up for any league that I am interested in that happens to be there. Other than that, I will not show up there, because CB and Saw aim to undermine this site here. Yes, it was designed in case PTT never came back up. However, now you are reluctant to give up your admining power there and come back here, as another one of us: members of a forum. I will not be a part of this, and therefore, I say farewell to PTT2.

P.S. If you want a comparison, here is one: You go to the store looking for a good video gaming console. Do you want the system who boasts good graphics, or do you want the one who boasts good gameplay? Now, do you want PTT2, with it's new stuff, or do you want PTT, with it's history and meaning?

Wow I am in UF, I do not have admin, here or there. Not once has CB or DSB ever wanted/asked/told me to boycott and/or stop using PTT. I am not sure what your trying to do but I don't like its smell.

I think this discussion will go like a Merry Go Round
Everyone is entitled to their opinion
but no one said that anyone has to choose
This is just a misnomer propagated to furthur the drama

To those who wish to stay ---------Great!
To those who wish to use both-----Great!
To those who prefer the other -------Great!

No shame on anyone for trying to preserve this community
Certainly not DanMac and -z-
and not Doc Saw and CB either

This is a non issue
and will now be put to rest by one of the resident peacemakers
uhhhhhhhhhh
me

Thank you all
and goodnight

Ok, let me try and clarify this:

PTT2 was created with the understanding that PTT wouldn't come back (Yes, I know 2+ weeks is the most PTT has ever been down).

I heard from word of mouth these (similar) remarks:

1) "PTT is finished"
2) "PTT isn't comming back"
3) and etc, can't remember the rest

Ofcourse who was to know better? We lost total contact with Dan (as 3+ Moderators tried to contact by email). Yes we were burdened by the thought that mabe, just mabe that was really it for PTT.

So... Possibly out of fear, impatience, or just on the fly, PTT2 was created for the sole purpose of providing a back up forums In PTT's Absence

But as many have stated before, This is where 3 years of TT's history has been written, neat features are great, but you can't top tracing TT's origens IMO.

My two cents.
