@sheena I suggest if you don't see people cussing look in modding then download the word filter scrit I have it and it works good!

I have it turned off so they can swear at me and I can reply back to them with like big words and logical style sentences that confuse them and shuts them up.

Not taking any sides, but few my thoughts... If it wasn't you Kris, you should need to worry at all, if they're going to ban that IP address. Sheena's should compare that IP address to the earlier ones, if it's same or different one and be sure you look the right one. Oh and I can tell you that "pf cop pf"(or whatever his name is) have impostered Tally Ho... Dunno about the others. And people should listen to both sides before making decions...

Btw, I doubt it was Kris. I would rather think it was that "pf cop pf" guy. I have seen him using 'offensive language' as Tally Ho.

Kris - they found you because of your ip address, not because of your name. An imposter using your name will have a different ip address and they would have seen that in the logs.

Read it and weep, Kris. Each computer has it's own IP address, and none are the same in the entire world. One problem: we're running out of IP addresses, hence Internet, Mark II.

Its times like this when you see who ur friends realy are

Same IP doesn't matter. Servers that don't run Dash Codes 0.05 can allow 2 people woit hthe same IP, it gives them 2 different CADDs.

And you're not one of them, Kris.

I am not taking sides here.. As for the IP address you are right and wrong DJ.. Most ISP's I know only allow a single IP address for each location. We get around this by installing a Router or proxy server... Internally you are right that all computers will have a unique IP address BUT the outside world will see all computers as a single IP.. So in fact he is correct.... You would be much better to check the MAC address.. This would prevent someone from just releasing and renewing their IP.. Of course using a second device will get around this problem as well.

I have found Kris to be a fine player in the games I have played.. But I can not speak for others..

It would be great if that change could be made for Dash Codes 0.06, that way people with 2 computers couldn't pull any stunts like that, it would just kick them.

I'm not sure I see the necessity to check MAC addresses over IPs in game. If two players (same name or diff name) have the same IP address, then they are either on the same subnet at a work location, or within the same household passing through a router. In either case, it's unlikely they would have an impostor. Unless someone's brother or sister (or a co-worker who just happens to play TT) is impostoring them and attempting to ruin their rep, I don't see how it's relevant.

The IP matching scheme has been used effectively for some time now within TT to catch players who pose under a different name and act like jerks.

I'm not saying that I believe one thing or another about Kris, just saying that there should be no need to start delving further than IP address matching.

@om well theres 1 prob as im a 24/7 but my imposter changes his ip frequently thus concluding you won't have any luck so I will get blamed

I guess is the working computer

So, you have an imposter using the same ip address, however there is only one computer behind your router that actually works and has TT installed...
