MOD WIZARD 2.3 IS RELEASED!!!!!!
Download The New Modwizard Here!!
Instructions and pictures are on the site...

In order to install this new modwizard you MUST get rid of the exec line in your main.cs file belonging to the previous ModWiz.
THIS NEW MODWIZARD WILL NOT WORK PROPERLY WITH THE OLD MODWIZ!!!
If you really want to, go as far as deleting the old modwiz files!
NO OLD MODWIZ!!!

Also, ACAS likes to override some binds, so when using ModWizard, disable your ACAS or change a few bindings...

Obviously the intructions were not very clear on the website so I will be writing a new set here in a bit.
If you follow all instructions, everything should be fine.

If someone would like to write up a new set of directions, be my guest... E-mail them to me.

I fixed a security hole that could allow a user to use modwizard unauthorized on a server that was not his if they spent time diving in the dso's and tracing the console...

[sarcasm]Now tell me... Who would do that :P[/sarcasm]
btw, you didnt need to trace the console... A simple dive into the.dso's was enough :P

Anyways, gj on fixing it.... And don't want to offend, but the "new GUI" are just 1 filter and adding a new font, even I can do that (and I suck with editing images)
But anyways... *clap* *clap*

Adds a little more class to the ModWiz B)

The new GUI images are OK... They aren't of "incredible" quality but they do the job and look better than the stock GUI.

Updating file on my site...

I didn't do the gui's to have them judged anyways. Did them as a favor.
No filters used, 3 layers and 3 differant textures were used. If you have gimp you can change them to anything you want, I only know gimp so sorry. Open a gui click layer, new layer, dialog, layers, scroll to soft light and drag the texture to the gui.. Do that as many times with as many textures as you want untill you achieve the look you want. May need to rotate the gui to get the same look on them all. Then you can have your own look.

I never wanted to say they were bad, just wanted to say many people can make it... But it does look better anyways :)

When I hit shift S to save nothing pops up saying it saved. Where is it supposed to be saved? I can't find it in the mission folder and it hasn't caopyed over the old one either. I'm not sure wha the diffrence between new mission and open mission is, but I can't get new mission to work. Anyways... Help!

Saturday, July 08, 2006 at 7:44:34 PM

New Mission Problem :
Create a new mission in your mission folder and name it newmission.mis
This is the mission that will open up when you press the newmission hotkey...

Open: Type in a mission file to open it

Save Mission Problem:
If you have the old Modwiz... Delete it...
If you also have ACAS, change the pref on either script so that the "Ctrl S" binds do not conflict.

After that, when you try and save a window will come up and ask you to type in the name you want the mission file to be
The name you type in there is where the mission you just modded will be in your missions folder

Ok... I updated the gui, so now TT will find and give you a list of files when you are looking for mis/dml/ter files to change up...
I also fixed a few things regarding the way I was dealing with objects... If anyone recieved an e-mail about getting ahold of -z-... Ignore it, I figured it out... Again...
And I also fixed the raise and lower bug, so...

Once I get ahold of canned so he can port the mac version, everyone will have a nice new happy bug free ModWizard to download

Cuz if you go into the main.cs it says

Exec("common/editor/function.cs");

Function.cs is not there.

Theres.dso not.cs

^
The Function.cs DSO file, is the file that the Exec("common/editor/function.cs"); command is calling for.

The DSO file is the.cs file in it's compiled form, there's not need to change the file path.
