Hey Tally,

Synaptic Slopes is Frantic, and your color code for this week is Blue (spooky). Am I missing something?

Who has been chosen to take lauryn's spot? Its between me and LONEWOLF.

Monday, June 14, 2004 at 11:40:54 PM

Anybody want to claim these two? Captains: email me about it, don't post.

Tuesday, June 15, 2004 at 12:25:40 AM

Tuesday, June 15, 2004 at 2:54:22 AM

Hey, its up to prey to pick me or LONEWOLF.

Tuesday, June 15, 2004 at 10:31:21 AM

How do you know this?

Tuesday, June 15, 2004 at 4:47:04 PM

Hey, I know it is too late, but has anyone heard from Kid? He is an excellent, very underrated player. Honestly, he might be the best one here, in my opinion. He is by far the best runner, I think. Just wondering if he is in here under a different name.

Tuesday, June 15, 2004 at 7:40:37 PM

Kid said he cannot commit.

Tuesday, June 15, 2004 at 7:51:57 PM

Ok, im sorry about the tone. How about I just say: Pretttttyyy pleeeeeease with a cherry on top may I be picked?

Ok...... That didnt sound right.....

BTW, could you let me prove how good I am if someone could watch me scrum in a server?

Rogue's post in the TBM thread:

Lag resolution:

I suggest that we stagger next seasons games. If there are six teams again, then two play at 9pm and the other at 9:30pm

No team can host their own game. For example Dash could host a Zombies vs. Rats game at 9pm. Leopard could host the Desperados vs. Slicerz game at 9:30pm. I've noticed that if the hoster is playing in the game or even on TT itself that lag rears its ugly head. Example, the Lair is much better when Leopard is not online. Staggering the games may be needed until we can come up with more hosts. Maybe we could work out a deal with the scrum league. Some of those guys have great servers and we inturn could host some of their games. Dash has a great server and so does Reagent X. Maybe if those two parties agree we could have Reagent X put up a TBM server on Tues. And Dash put a scrum server on Wed. I feel this would help out both leagues. Sound good or is that too much of a pain the ass for hosts?

Sounds like a good idea??

Dash said he wouldnt mind helping out the scrum league

Coolness.

Bolo, what else do you think we can work together on? How do they show stats and things?

Wednesday, June 16, 2004 at 5:44:49 PM

Just the hosting I think...BMers and scrummers dont generally get along :)

They all email the stats to LC and he posts them I think...

The stats think is gonna be hairy til -z- gets the time and money to implement the leagues section

The fleas got hosed 3-1, but a long season before us lays. I recommend to boy scout camper boy paco to get more badges before our next match, as his current skill set will not aid him on future endeavors :).

Badges? We don't need no stinking badges!!!!!

But we do need some new players. Recruit. Before next week, teams will have new players.

Thursday, June 17, 2004 at 1:53:30 AM

How about Kid and Minox (bot). They aren't on teams now, correct?

Thursday, June 17, 2004 at 2:05:37 AM

Dude, they need to ask in to get in. I dont pull teeth.

Thursday, June 17, 2004 at 2:07:09 AM

In response to absenteeism, me thinks that maybe a Gold Heavy Bot (aka Hum) would be preferable to being a full man down. At least it would be shooting and making kills for your team. It seems better than no man at all. Could this be the standard? Thoughts?

Thursday, June 17, 2004 at 5:04:55 AM

1 player advantage = death.

Give the bot to the lame-duck team, if they request so.

who wants to play 4 vs 3?

Thursday, June 17, 2004 at 5:15:37 AM

SHOW ME 4 ON 3.

Thursday, June 17, 2004 at 5:29:08 AM

Well we DID decided on keeping the Bot in our game, but when it was reset the bot was gone.

Thursday, June 17, 2004 at 11:11:03 AM

LilAlien, I heard both yes and no.

I was under the impression no bots were allowed in the game server, but have no problems with a bot filling in. We were in the same boat last week, and any Bot would have been a welcome addition! I'd rather play 4 on 4.

Just what the Locos need, a dash of salt to get us rolling again. Hoohah!

Like a midget at a urinal, I was going to have to be on my toes.

Invite a retard to a picnic and you'd better expect to get drool in the potato salad.

Thursday, June 17, 2004 at 4:14:55 PM

Dash, im adding you to the pool. Be ready to play on wednesday.

Thursday, June 17, 2004 at 5:38:55 PM

Why is it that we need to recruit players, when some teams have 8 players and some have 6? For example, the Cerebros have 8 players, but only 3 showed up? I know KJ and Dar were busy, and cancelled ahead of time, but are you saying that no one else could show? Speaking for myself, I would rather not have more than 6 players for the Black Sheep, as that cuts into each persons playing time. I'm not the team captain (just a scrub newbie), so that isn't my decision to make. I haven't spoken to my teammates about it, but I trust them to show up, or, at least, for an alternate to show up. We will usually have 5 players show just in case 1 can't make it.

Thursday, June 17, 2004 at 7:17:34 PM

Rorshoq we have had 2 players not show at all. KJ and Dar equal one tank. This brings our current roster to four tanks only. We'd like to have a full roster to prevent having very lame games, as was the case last night. Not very thrilling to show up and find that you only have or are playing three tanks.

Like a midget at a urinal, I was going to have to be on my toes.

Thursday, June 17, 2004 at 9:33:57 PM

@Rorshoq We started with 7 after the draft day. For Cerebros, TankDork and WeenTank are no-shows. That leaves 4 drafted players and the captain (co-captains in this case). It is not un-common to have two players out the same day, especially if related. That leaves 4 draftees. Some may not be serious about playing and wanted to play occasonally.

In the Bandits case. I have one player who is moving to a new country and has asked to not be part of the team. Can't participate. I have a player who is moving into a new house which is not finished being built. That leave 5 to play 4. Last week, 2 were out to either attend graduation or support a graduating relative. One of my players has a work schedule which may not allow all games to be attended. Seven sounds like a lot of players. In reality, there are 4 spots at best for these two new teams and if a player can't show. You will play short. The Bandits have not yet had the chance to pick the best team to adjust to to the other teams player types. We've been lucky to field a team of four. After the beginning of July, I might have a reliable 5 to play. Without a new draftee. This should allow some adjustments to better match opponents. For now, I've been playing who shows. It would be a plus to rotate players who best match up. Captains point of view. For the team player point of view. It is nice to play every week. From the captains point of view, it is a prayer to get enough players to play a full game.

Any decisions that affect the league aren't going to be decided by non-captains, so I will worry about the league, captains will worry about their teams, and unless you have some profound idea that will effectively better the playing and competing conditions of the 30 plus remaining players, players should worry about their own tanks. If you don't understand why things are going a certain way, run it by your captain. He/she will be able to explain whatever it is to you. If he/she cannot, then he/she will receive an explanation from me.

Thursday, June 17, 2004 at 10:06:06 PM

Please, Captains, for the sake of the league, try to get your players fired from their jobs so they have nothing better to do. You may have to place some phone calls and spread vicious rumors, but in the end, I think the league, and the game, will be better off because of it. Thank you for your cooperation.

@ 56:

Ok ill tell Joe at bravetree that you cant do anymore contracts because u have decided to go into phrenology...ok?

@ all:

Last season I had to field 3 players with 3 players. The last third of the season I had to field 3 players with 2 players. I feel your pain. Hopefully the teams wont have to put up with the BS I dealt with last season.

@ ho:

Are we gonna adopt -z-'s rules of non-attendance? Those who choose to be deadbeats cannot participate in future leagues....just curious...dam deadbeats

Tally looks like destructive is ok with players for the time being...one of us hasnt decided to show up yet but I still have faith. Our attendence problem last week was an isolated incident I think.

So destructive and sheep have the only deadbeatless roster??

LAME PEOPLE....LAME

@sheep:

How does the hyper-pass gonna work when team DESTRUCTIVE has all 4 of your sheep smoking 100% of the time? Just take the scrum to the hole smoking....dont worry about bolo shooting your tail off....hes harmless..oh and mark bot at the goal wont hurt you either....you could dive but as soon as one of you spawns in cleveland its all over....

BOOOOOOOOOOOM

Team destructive awaits....be afraid

Steel corset: we hope to have a full team this week so dont get your hopes up :)
