I'm always so exited when I make a new mod. Modding is a way for me to express my individuality on TT. But when I TGE edit, so many people ignore my mods. They join, and stop loading 2 seconds later and leave. The only mods people go to are The GoodFeela's mods and Dash's. No offense to you gize. I'm fed up. Some really good modders are working there butts off to make mods that knoone joins! I'd really like more people to broaden there horizons and wait more loads. You really don't have anything to loose.

Make sure people can predownload them, if they can, then they'll be much more willing to join

^said it all....
the reason everybody joins dash's and goodfella's is because they have PRE-DOWNLOADS!!! :P :P
make a pre download and then mayby u will git some peeps to join yer server :P :P :P

Hypermoddized, TGE terrained mods take long times to load unlike mods made with existing terrain like The Grand Battle, Dash Bash, goodfellas and goodfellas 2. I tried predownloading the maps, and could enter those servers but whenever I started my own server, it would say I dont have the correct version of TGE. :'( So I deleted those terrains and kept only my originals and Maxworks Missions since they come with the.mis file and dont kill the originals. Thats y I never go to CS mods, Fantanlushtastic, etc. :o

Yep!
In the olden days the only way to join a Nathan or a 187 mod was to wait
Sometimes up to 20-30 minutes depending on how much new stuff had to
come down the pipes!!!
Then Rx came up with the Mod - Pack and Napalm added the X-Pack
With these two tools Modding has exploded
The hard part is getting the word out

@CS I know how you feel - I modded over 75 projects. Of which I hosted 35
There is a absolute joy to making and perfecting a mission
My advise = See if ReagentX will setup a zippy for you.
Also, each time I made a new mod I emailed the map to all my friends
which greatly increased initial response.
Sort of a "Premiere Event"

Nice, I hope these dont bring up that stupid message when u use the originals.

This Is What I Think... new terrains don't add that much to a mod because there are some many now so I just use the Mod pack and X pack. My favorite mods have never been ones where I had to wait and download stuff like in the "olden days."

Well, I see how this gets to be. First of I want to say a few things concerning this. When I started TGE modding, when it was rare and not verymany people new how, I made a few mods, and they where pretty good for just starting. What I found more suprising than ever, is that NEVA DIE and miself started at the same times. We had several post on suggestions and help. Maybe a day or so later, Flamin started showing mod pics. Eventually, everyone can TGE mod! Suddenly I lost interest on modding. I'm not trying to sound supperior, but whenever I wait a load with the most people in it, I end up in a newbs mod, with a terrain so sloppily done, I thought I was in a different game! When me and NEVA, and all those other great modders out there make mods, they are focusing on trying there best to mod something orginal to TT itself. A normal sized terrain, no weapons, basic codes, etc. The terrains are always outstanding, and very reallistic. I'm am so disapointed of all the people leaving TT. Those people that are leaving are the ones that Know what TT is really about. They all share my interest and work hard on anything they do. All newcomers are only interested in terrains that have nothing to do with the original game! I wish modding required a license. I am starting to lose interest in TT. I've already explained why. Whenever I join a popular game, some nieve retard tells me of, and acts like such a hotshot. Calling me a stupid newb. WTH! I've been in TT long enough to not be considered a newb.

In general, what I'm trying to say is: TT is being sucked dry of what made it a great game. My freinds are leaveing, mods are tastless, new players are horrible and disrespectful, and even when I try to be kind and ignore their rudness, its no use. I know everyone must be tired of hearing this over and over, but I must say that I'm considering leaving TT.

P.S. If you disagree, forget the post instead of argueing, as I will not care. :(
