Monica -
I'd give them a D2 rating ; but I see some promise in them. I think they could definitely be good starts to your skinning career. ;)
Here's what I liked about them:
- multiple colors. Unfortunately the colors you use don't really go together that well. They clash a bit. But you applied to colors by tank part
; not just randomly. That shows that you are putting thought into what part of the skin goes where on the tank. The first stage a new skinner goes through (and I've done it plenty myself in the past) is just picking a single color and/or texture and applying it to the entire skin with no regard to the anatomy of the tank.
- multiple textures. The good and bad is the same as for colors above. You used different styles on different parts of the tanks. The effects are over-emphasized - too powerful. But it's definitely a good place to start learning how they work.
I hope my comments help some. Good work!
^ Nicht mein Problem. Oh, and by the way, E is for taking existing skins and putting logos on them. Mine deserves a D.
^^ I wanted them to look weird, that's why I called them "Spare Parts Skins." :P It's like that Ford Explorer commercial where everyone brings a part of the truck. Just imagine the people bringing different bright colors. I know I didn't spend much time on them and they look pretty, but "weird" is just what I like, I guess. ;)

Ahhh... The good ol skin rating system! Miss that thread...
Pardon my rudeness, I cannot abide useless people.
Monica - It's cool that you got the look you were going for then. :)
TMO said it well, the tank's body turns out weird if there are too many colors and textures on it. Sometimes a random mix of them blend well, but that happens rarely. I decided to say what I think are the best features on the each skin and what I would change.
Medium:
- middle green texture, spare parts text and rest of the bottom(grey/red) looks ok.
- the blueish upper part doesn't fit to the lower part.
Light:
- spare parts text and lower body(green/blue) good.
- the grey on the middle and the matrix style looking turret doesn't fit with the rest of the tank.
Heavy:
- too many textures and colours here. I would say either switch to grey/red, greenish or green/red theme.
- spare parts text is written same way as in documents.
You don't have to let go of one rope before grabbing the other. But you'll have to let go of one if you want to swing forward.

These are some screenies of my Spare Parts Skins. If you'd like me to make you a skin for your army or for yourself, just post here with what you want the skin to look like and what tank you want it on, if you don't mind your skins to be made with filters. ;)
