No, this is not specifically for those with gray/thinning hair...

To become a member, play Regular Battlemode and try to break a score of 40, then post your screengrab on this thread (go to www.uploadit.org for easy image-hosting).

The only rules are that you 1) don´t change the numbers in a graphics program and 2) use the TT default battle settings (no creating a game of your own with all bronze bots). You can play on or- off-line, but again, use the TT defaults and the original game settings. The rules rely heavily on your own honor, but most of us know who is worthy enough to end up on this thread anyway.

Yeah, if you're going to fake a picture, you really need to do a thorough job of it. There's too many folks here who are graphics-literate. I'm only a hobby-level artist, and that write-over just screamed out at me "LOOK HERE".

Thanks for the patience all... I'd like to announce the grand-reopening of the 40+ Club in its new location in Southern California. As soon as I tie down the keg and sodey pop machine so that they don't fall over during the next earthquake, the drinks will flow.

So, let's see what happened since I fell asleep as the wheel:

LilAlienD (FU) and Paisano have been welcomed to the club... Also, after many weeks on the honorable mention list, Stealth has earned his official membership and can now come in out of the cold.

TRadier needs to improve his photoshop skills and was gently escorted out by the 40+ club bouncers.

Well.... I don't even know if this is still open for members but here's my crack at it...

I just went in there and shot at everything that moved. Didn't even relize I got 40 until the last few seconds in which I remembered to take a screenie..

I will never make this club due to the fact I hate Battlemode.All ways have all ways will come to scrum or team though and I can hang 10 with the best of them ! B)

Time to raise the bar! I was in a heavy doing some target practice and I kept spawning by all the action and got a lot of lucky shots. Normally I use the name NUTS! But have been using hugo when I practice. Now I am gonna try to get over 40 with a light tank!

You can do it LONEWOLF. I hate Battlemode myself, but when I tried I did it surprisingly quick. Took a few games to get used to, but now I don't think I'd get UNDER 40 when I play it.

@Lonewolf, I used to feel the same exact way as you do. Even now, I can only tolerate so much BM... But I think it's important to have the basic skills in, whereas they will greatly improve your scrum game! Especially when it comes to honing in on your shooting skills. Weather you're up close, far away, shooting at a moving target, or moving and shooting at the same time. Now that I've learned how to BM, I can drive backwards and shoot at the same time, with great accuracy. A skill that comes in very handy when your running with the scrum.

Give it a shot :) It's actually pretty challenging ;)

@NUTS! - Of all the heavy skins I've made, you're playing in the one I used to map out the pieces of the tank? Wow.

LOL! Ya sorry, I was actually gona try some skinning myself and had thrown that on. I had just left it on because it make the heavies stand out in BM.

Congradulations guys on the 40+ club but just a suggestion if there should be a club for 70+ Elite Bmers I have done it before just couldnt post the pic as I did delete think tnkas....but 40+ is amazing love to see that alot of members are going for the challenge

LOL. I know, I know. It just irks me, that's all. I'm going good, racking up kills, and then the dang timer jumps forward 3 minutes to make sure I don't make it. I'm SURE that these games are ending early, just positive!

If it makes you feel any better, TMO, you're still doing much better than I am. I gave the 40+ club another shot to get back in practice for the olympics. My best score ever was 33, that was back when I played the game every day. I just played five games straight:

I wish you guys would stop talking about "dropping in for a game" and "remembering to take a screenshot" to record your 40's, 50's, 60's scores. It makes me feel so pathetic.. Seriously:

It'd be nice if I found out that my copy of TT was hacked or something, but I guess it's really just plain lack of skill. Still.. What do you guys have that I don't?

I just don't get it.. If I was even getting 30's like TMO, I could feel like I just wasn't as good at the game as you guys.. But is it even possible to do as bad as I do?

You edit them in a graphics editor and shrink 'em down. I just cropped mine in Photoshop before posting. Nothing major.

@Asterisk - Probably one thing you're doing is attacking the nearest tanks head-on. So you spend a minute or two killing it, and get wounded in the process, so the next tank might kill you, wiping out the kill you just made. I try to rush to the largest group of tanks I can see on the radar and TRY to finish off all the wounded I can. Usually some get stolen from me. Grrr.

So, at 1 kill per minute, with each game being 15 minutes long, you only get 15 kills, ASSUMING you don't die anywhere. You need to get almost 3 kills per minute to make 40+. That's a scary thought. I'd never calculated it quite like that. That's one kill every 20 seconds on average. *eek!*

That's not that hard with 7 tanks attacking each other. Just shoot the ones that are smokingit takes a clip or less and then move to the next one. You can also go for heavy by the edge. Shoot a clip into them and ram them off before they have a chance to shoot back.

I know all this stuff, guys. I have been playing for a year by now, after all. And I can do okay in BM with people. I just can't for the life of me manage to get such high scores against the bots. Grrrr... I need a TT coach or something.

Okay, I just played a game and specifically went after smoking bots only. I did get 30, so thanks TMO and Ice Punk for the advice.. I still need ten more kills though! :S

Hmm. I wonder what happened..... I just tried for it and got 43 on my first try (45 really because I killed ri and another smoking bot in the last 15 seconds)... I wonder why it's so hard for you?

I don't know either. Could it be our computers are faster than yours, so the bots react faster? *shrug*

If your bots reacted faster, you would have a harder game. If your computers are slower than mine, you guys could possibly have slower, easier bots, but I don't really know..

Are you in yet, TMO? As long as I'm not the only one sitting on the front steps..

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr... I'm gonna go try again.. Maybe if I'm pissed off I'll be better, who knows.

I hope it's a computer thing.. It would be sad if it was really lack of skill.

I did it, today I saw this thread and started trying, some games passed and I finnally did it!! (thx bots for letting me kill ya)

I was fighting the bots, doing pretty well, looked at my score... 38. Hey, I might make it. IMMEDIATELY the 30 second countdown begins, and I'm nowhere near any bots. SO... I race to the nearest bots and kill the first one I see, but now I've only got 13 seconds to kill another one, and none are wounded. So I target the first one I see - Gul... And I don't kill him before time runs out. XO

High score to date: 39 and pissed.

@Art Crazy-

I don't recognize the map you're playing on. Obviously the ground skins are altered, but I don't recognize the hills & trees placements either.
