My prefs.cs is a total mess so I edited my prefs document for my server. Nothing is working.

Can I replace my prefs with prefs.cs and will it work?

^^ That's your prefs.cs.DSO file not your pref.cs file. If you changed that file , thats why your games not working.

^good think I didnt... Heres why I prolly didnt notice

When I wanted to open a file [e.g prefs], it offered a list to what program to open it with [I chose notepad] and now all my text docs in my TT folder [e.g prefs] it has a pic of the notepad symbol, and thats prolly it didnt say the full name or something...... So my other organized prefs file is my perfs.cs?

^^^On your screen shot there, why does it say, "You do not have the correct version of TGE"?

That's the message you get when you have the wrong terrain.
@Juice--Make sure to delete the prefs.cs.DSO file before you edit the prefs.cs.

Just toss the prefs.cs.dso file.

Edit the prefs as you like, (When you launch the server it will create a new prefs.cs.dso file.)

If you need a prefs.cs file.

Launch TT and go into the online area. Do a create server and set the options how you want. Pass/no pass Server name, game type, etc.

This will create a new prefs file that you can then edit.

Ill test that soon, thanks guys!

Now if im not correct, someone please correct me but to launch a server you go to:

Bravetree/thinktanks/dedicated

And click on anyone of those.MS-DOS Batch Files?

And I can edit...

Cd..
ThinkTanks -dedicated -mission game/data/missions/TT1_1.mis -game TS

^that to whatever I like? Can I also do

Cd..
ThinkTanks -dedicated -mission game/data/missions/TT1_1.mis -game TS
ThinkTanks -dedicated -mission game/data/missions/TT1_2.mis -game TS
ThinkTanks -dedicated -mission game/data/missions/TT1_3.mis -game TS

^could I edit that and will it change missions everytime the game ends, or not?

Cd..
ThinkTanks -dedicated -mission game/data/missions/TT1_1.mis -game TS
ThinkTanks -dedicated -mission game/data/missions/TT1_2.mis -game TS
ThinkTanks -dedicated -mission game/data/missions/TT1_3.mis -game TS

I don't think you can do that. Only one at a time.

If you want to run all of the lush terrins the syntax would be:

ThinkTanks -dedicated -mission GREEN -game TS

Tha would rotate throug all the TT1_X missions.

If you want it to be more granular, look into Art Crazy's mission loader. You can do a line by line and pick any missions you want. A really nice script.

The prefs.cs wont change the bots, or any of my prefs... Ghhr

Tuesday, November 22, 2005 at 11:54:41 AM

First delete your prefs.cs and prefs.cs.dso. Then try making a server in the Online window and edit the bots, pass, etc...
I got this idea from somebody else but I can't remember who. :o
