Since I'm always creating threads like the Players of the month and Best newcomers, I thought an interesting thread would be one for most underrated players. You know, players who are considered good already, but for some reason short-changed in some respect. Players who are actually much better than their reputation dictates. Here are my selections (not meant to be all-inclusive).

I really like the way Minox [Bot] plays sometimes. Very acrobatic and death-defying the way he attacks the goal.
Get Some can be incredible too when he's on a roll.
NUTS! Is actually as good a scrummer as he is a BMer these days which is saying something.
Everyone knows KID is very good, but he can be utterly dominating in team scrum (right, tankgirl?)
Tally Ho...yeah yeah...everyone agrees he is an elite player, but damn he is even better than he thinks he is..which is really saying something!!!

Hey, Chong is underrated....thanks mostly to his pig-headed insistance to camp when he could very easily win without camping at all.
I've seen him play clean and do very well.

Well I would like to add RedBeard to the list for a guy that is new to this he is very good ! He is not a Vet either under alias. I have been trying to get him to post but he must be very busy with the holidays ! I did notice he set up here now on PTT ! B)

I agree...Demo Jake is very good. There's another demo just as good but the most annoying player since Neva Die. Every time this demo scores (and he scores way too often for a demo!) he says "That was TOO easy!" ARGH!!!!! What is his name? Can't recall...

I think the way I judge a player is to imagine this scenario.....

You come up with the scrum in TS and all the players are on the other side of the map with little chance of interfering with your run to the goal awhich is a good bit away. Suddenly an enemy spawns about half way betwen you and the goal and off to one side just a bit. You see the name.

The way you feel right there is how you think about any given player. Is it a dreadful lump in the gut, or a "I can take this guy" confidence, or is it a "well, this is gonna be a crap shoot" feeling? I personally dread the swipers and accurate shooters/defenders the most.

I'd love to see a master registry of names of scrummers becuase I'd bet there's about 40 or 50 that's "got the skillz" and about 12 of those that are interchangable for playing a perfect game.

I vote for Sniper. He was not on my radar at all until the other night he was on my team in team scrum along with paisano, and we kicked some booty. Maybe he uses aliases a lot or plays at different times than I do, but I don't recall playing with Sniper at all. Regardless, he has skillz. Pai is good too, but everyone knows about that.

I hereby officially go on record that I am a Teacher who has consistently schooled everyone in PTT (except Bolo and Jangy). Of course, there are exceptions and bad nights, but I am usually on the winning team and am usually at the top of the list for points......

I did play in a game with you a while ago and you did ok, but Tally Ho just seem to stroll through the game and score whenever he wanted to. Seems I've been doing it all myself up until now. I tried to enter a game you were in last night but, when I entered tha game you were gone. Around 12:30 central time.

Yes and it was just like in the forum with (TankGirl |K8|).I was about to crash and I thought, hey let's check out a game with TG. We speak but I have never played with her. (did that just sound a little weird?) Anyway I entered and looked in the list, and you were gone. I figured it was 1:30 where you are and you quit for the night. BTW I have been told there's someone using my name for the past two days and they suck ass.

I know not everybody is interested in rating systems but it would be interesting to have one somewhere on this site. Based on performance and not just the word of players (although most of you carry plenty of weight with your opinions)

Thx pai for the mention. Never get to play against you enough, although I'm starting to be more regular with the late night team scrum matches on dash's and monkeys' mods. Seems thats when all the a-listers come out to play.

Thanks a bunch for the info. It makes me sad though. For some reason it really gets under my skin to have someone impersonating me. Any idea what server?... Maybe we can do an IP check and figure out who it was....

I recall it was an individual Scrum game not team scrum. I think it was a shockwave server. I had the second rate feeling when I entered it, so I know it wasn't a privately hosted server.

Anyhow there is a reason why you and I aren't listed:

We are NOT "under" rated. We are properly recognized as GODS for whom they burn scrums at the stake to give us sacrificial homage! If they ever DARED under-rate us, we would be forced to come out of hiding and smite the whole lot of them!
