Since I'm always creating threads like the Players of the month and Best newcomers, I thought an interesting thread would be one for most underrated players. You know, players who are considered good already, but for some reason short-changed in some respect. Players who are actually much better than their reputation dictates. Here are my selections (not meant to be all-inclusive).

I really like the way Minox [Bot] plays sometimes. Very acrobatic and death-defying the way he attacks the goal.
Get Some can be incredible too when he's on a roll.
NUTS! Is actually as good a scrummer as he is a BMer these days which is saying something.
Everyone knows KID is very good, but he can be utterly dominating in team scrum (right, tankgirl?)
Tally Ho...yeah yeah...everyone agrees he is an elite player, but damn he is even better than he thinks he is..which is really saying something!!!

Funny I've been playing scrum quite a bit lately and I don't see you there. I have as well been doing good sometimes-winning games with good players in attendance. It looks to me like these guys nominating are not nominating by ones reputation of the past (maybe Psycoscrum 7 but that's it) They are not yet nominating people who have not performed well for an extended period of time. I can only assume that this is one of the reasons I have not received much mention either. Again if your going under any alias as I sometimes do then, of course, how would anyone know it's you. Play a lot, play well a lot; you'll get your props. Until then keep up the flirtatious act for the attention. Ha ha..

Guys/Gals let me remind you the topic of this thread is, "Most Underrated Players" ! Why would you want to be on this ? This is to talk about the new guys or old guys whos games have improved but are not viewed as if they in are league just yet ( I mean no offense to any one )! There are a lot of players out there that are not seen as Vets in this game by other Vets ! I have seen a lot of people in the last 2 months really step up the game play ! Some of these people are well know in other areas in TT ! They have just not reached that status here in TS !

As I reread this though must of these people they are all talking about like Nuts,Get Some,Paisano & Tally Ho Ho ! These are people especially Tally Ho ( been here from the dawn of time all most), I consider to be Vets. So I ask you all this, " Who are rated players then " ? B)

You are right about me using aliases... I have used them a lot lately and I have not been signing the alias name with a "k8" or a "tg". So you would not have seen me when perusing the games. But once in a game, everyone knows it is me. Since I have had a glut off impersonators and mean-spirited woman-hating attackers lately, I have not been using my name. But I ALWAYS let me friends know who I am immediately.

Also, you told me to keep up the flirtatious act...... (not an act) :)

Lone... Good point about the under rated players. Since I have not been considered a "Rated" player for quite a while, I decided that an under-rated label would be just fine....

@TG: You know how it works. The eyes of a couple close friends is not enough for a "reputation." It doesn't have to be "TankGirl," but you'll to have to choose a single "non de-plume" and stick with it for people to start talking and recognizing you. Shadowy people will stay in the shadows. ;)

And yes, I AM ribbing you strictly to force you to pick an identity so I can track you down. All I need to do is follow the screams of frustration from all the scrum campers server-wide!

over my time here, I have watched many players that I feel have been a challenge, and I notice quite a few, yet they are never mentioned!
so here are my votes for most underated players:

Wal - the guy got skill in scrum and bm

Jacques - this guy has been playin forever and has picked up many tricks along the way...he's gotten quite good

BAD ASS SWAT - I know you've all played him, almost every game I do we tie through almost the whole game! I mean he's got skill

Those are my votes^^^ I give *props* and respect to those 3, you guys may be underrated, but that doesnt change that skill you got ;)

What do you mean by saying most underrated? Do you mean players who... A.) are underestimated by thinking that they aren't good, but actually they're very good. B.) are mostly forgotten when comparing players whos awesome and whos not.

Alright, I'm now behind in everything since I succumbed to temptation and played last night!
Now, I know I'm quite a bit rusty...
And, I know that Sniper was always a good tanker (who seems to be improving)....
But, who the HECK is dukes? Son of a gun, I still have bags of ice over all my injuries! Hey, duke, how about giving an old guy a break and actually MISS a SHOT occasionally! Yowza...love to see a duel between dukes and Bolo.

Maybe dukes already has the reputation and I didn't know it, but I nominate dukes as a solidly underrated player!

Dukes was Daisy Dukes..but before that he was OHIO...and I believe that I was the first person to take notice of his skills while he was still playing as Ohio. He chose a femine name with Daisy Dukes as an experiment and it seemed to work as less players Bmed him because they thought he was a girl. He evenually came out of the closet, as it were. So, I don't think he's underrated at all. Everyone knows how good he is.
You just haven't been around lately, that's all.

Daisy Dukes is an elite player imho.
Translation... He is the best player on all maps that I've played, for team scum, at the current time.
Then again, I don't rate scoring as highly as paisano.

I don't know where you got that opinion, pal. I don't rate scoring that high. If you read any of my recent posts about team scrum you would know how I felt about scoring and team play. I've said that some of the best games are the ones where you dont score anything!!! Bolo has said the same thing. So you're dead wrong about my view on scoring. Way off.

Well I think I'm pretty underrated... I was using an aliases the other day against some vets (names need not be mentioned). I was on the phone, playing one handed (no shooting), and I was outscoring them by a spread of 3-5 points per round. When they finally asked me who I was and I told them, they were shocked... Saying stuff like "No Way, Seriously?, I don't believe it". Was pretty funny actually, I got a kick out of it.

You win some, you loose some. I'm not the best scrummer in the game, but I can certainly hold my own.

Already been done....more or less in team games....hes getting better....hehe

Scrum: majorpain is underrated....top notch player

Bm: battleaxe is dam good and not mentioned a lot

Stealth: happens when you dont play enough...and use too many aliases...plus people have different opinions....for instance you and I have opposite opinion's of each other's skills.

LOL Chong XD Don't get too full of yourself :) Those were two out of a dozen or so games... I've got my fair share of blowouts over you as well... Like I said before... You win some, you loose some. I'm not the best scrummer in the game, but I can certainly hold my own.

Maybe you're right about that B... I play 2 or 3 times a week now, about a half hour to an hour per session, with the occasional 2 to 3 hour binge. No where near as much as I used to play. As far as aliases go, I really don't use them very often and when I do, I usually announce to everyone who I am at the beginning by saying, "Aloha Folks". Anyone who knows me will recognize me by that line.

I've used the name SD Chargers #1 a few times because I'm so proud of my home town football team. I do go undercover on occasion but can easily be picked out by my name. If I see a movie I like, I might use the name of one of the key characters, like Atreyu from the movie "The Never Ending Story". Recently, I've gone undercover as "Broken Sword", from the Jet Li movie, "HERO".

Now...

I don't really know what you mean by that bolo. I haven't really played you enough to form an opinion of your skills. However, you do have a reputation that proceeds you, and if I know Hanksta and Jangles, they wouldn't have picked you to be on their team in the 3 on 3 tournament if you didn't have some skills.

Don't forget, there was someone else in line to fill FP's place on that team before you, and if that person didn't take a break from the game at the time, he probably would have. You're hopes of becoming champion would've faded with Filberts after that first round defeat. ;)

If you'd like another piece of humble pie, I'd be happy to give it to you online... I can serve it up in any mode. CTF, BM, Scrum... Whatever... B) pick your poison... 8(
