Ok I have read the other post but I still see no help on going into the computer and seting it up so people can see my server of mods while I am also playing games on mods already made of other people. I make my mods, but for now I know they can not be seen. I am connected all the time but I want to allow people to play mods I make even while I am away. I already know about the port numbers I have to use and have open, I just need to know how to get past firewalls and server walls? Please help and many thanks ahead of time :)

What did you download TT from?

If you downloaded it from GarageGames, I can help you.

OO... OO I have a router that is a D-Link and I still havn't been able to get past it. But if Lookin4U has Windows XP service pack 2, then he needs to create some ports on windows firewall. Thats all that ican say.

Go and turn off your firewall XD. (If your parents don't let you do that, go into game/client/prefs.cs and find out what your TT port is. Open that up in your Firewall. OR Get a Mac, and be protected from adware, spyware and viruses, AND play TT! XD

Hehehe, Lookin4U IS the parent. Hey bud, been awhile! We never did finish our mod did we? :(

Oh well. Did you open up a port for ThinkTanks in your firewall? Sounds like it.

If that's open, next question is do you have a router? If you have a router, the router by default is a firewall. You'll need to change the settings for it.

Try this; type http://192.168.0.1 into your browser. It will take you to your router. When it asks for your name and password, type in ADMIN for name and leave password blank. Once in your router, there's a couple things to look for.

Port 28000 needs to be open, or use the DMZ setting. It puts a computer outside the router's firmware firewall. If you do that, make sure to use your computer's software to set up a firewall.

Don't know if any of these will help, but here's a couple threads I found.

Try a google search for instructions on how to change the settings for your router's mfg. & model number.
