OK, ignore my question above. Figured it out and got it working.
Can you inform me, I have the same problem, and same router with a DSL connection, thanks.
SO DO I
NO ONE CAN SEE MY MOD WAAAAAAAAAAAAAH......
Would someone please tell me HOW to get the dedicated server running? I follow Spunkies method, hundreds of times over, but to no prevail, I want to launch TT1_4 (Freudian Flats) As team battlemode, but when I do it, the terminal says tsch:cd: Too many arguments. HELP!!!!
O yeah, and im on a mac too....
Sorry, not mak litterate, but there is a helpful section on it in the readme supplied with think tanks, it is in the main TT folder.
Mark! Hey! Wuzzup!
Sorry that my method isn't working for you. Why don't you start a new thread about it, so that all the technology people can help you?
Hope to play you again in one of your Mods! XD
Sounds like you're having trouble with steps 3 and 4.
3. In Terminal type cd (with a space) and drag your folder into the terminal window. It'll automatically make the path for it.
4. Press enter.
Nice call. Make sure to NOT modify the path in any way, shape, or form.
You know what would be cool.. If one of you mac heads with mad Applescipt skillz would post a little Applescript for launching dedicated servers. Then you could launch your TT dedicated servers with a double click, wouldn't that be slick?
Good idea 56k, but it can't be done. You have to manually drag your TT folder into the Terminal window in order to type the lines. I COULD make a personalized script for everyone, but it would be difficult.

COME ON OM U ARE NOT HELPING US AT ALL U ALWAYS KEEP IT A SECRET HELP US OUT HERE!!!! XO
I'm sure the launching of dedicated servers could be automated using Applescript and/or Applescript Studio but they might include this on the next upgrade of TT. If they don't I'm willing to give it a try.
In order to do so, you would have to place the ThinkTanks folder in the Macintosh HD folder, and that could be difficult for another user to put the folder in it because of permission problems. (I know because I tried this.)
But, if it automatically installed it into the HD, then I guess it would be fine. Again, this would require an administrator password to do so, which would require more work on the admin's part.
Spunk, check flea's post in this thread:

Might just save you some terminal typing...
Actually, that doesn't really help...see, all it does it start up the program...here's the typing...

First off, sorry if this has been asked before. I looked through the forums and didn't see anything like this, but I could have missed it.
Anyway, last night I tried to host a server, a dedicated server off my Mac, but the room didn't show up for anyone that was attempting to join. After some questioning, I realized that the router I have hooked up to my Cable modem was probably blocking connections.
So, my question is, short of disconnecting the router and plugging the cable modem directly into my Mac, which I'd rather not do, does anyone know what needs to be done in general terms to make this work? For example, what settings can be changed on the router? Just FYI, I have a Linksys 4-port Cable/DSL router. I can get into the config page easy enough, but I'm a little unclear what needs to be disabled/enabled to allow others to see my dedicated server.
Any help at all would be greatly appreciated!
OM
