Well, Spirit and I had a brief disscussion on how we (VT) are gunna have a CTF Tournament. To do this we need all army members ( and if some non-army members want to form a team thats fine) to sign up a play the game! The idea is too have your army leader (or CTF leader) to be Captain of your team. So basically, its like haveing a war, without worrying about the standings.

Every team will have 5-6 players, and the format will be 4 on 4 (3 on 3 can be played as well). Each team will have a home map, and if it is elidgble, you can even mod one for your team! If not, you can just choose one of the -z- maps. The games will be played best 2 out of 3, and if its a tie on the third game, you will do a sudden death to the team first with 5 points. This is how the points standings will work.

WW- 4 points

WLW or LWW- 3 points

LWL or WLL -2 points

LL- 1 point

This fair enough point standing will make sure each team will get points :)

Why is this in leagues exactly? Shouldn't this be better placed in the armies section? Also, if you're asking for people to please sign up, why is every active army listed? Not trying to flame here, just asking.

CS has a good point, what script will you use? Normally, everyone uses AC's, but you can't get the "real" script unless you can somehow contact 56k lag man...

I think ill use AC's, but im not sure how to host, I think im gunna ask dash or Roo or somebody. Or ill ask one of the big time modders for it.

You could get 56k Lag Man to host, he did host Laggy CTF using -z-'s script. Lonewolf can usually contact 56k.

Btw, SA's team is yet to be decided, we will post the whole team when we have one if we decide to join.

This right before Thanksgiviing? The timeframe for this getting off the ground needs to be specified/clarified.

Also, being a former league player in the CTF league, getting a server that locks has been really hard to play a second season. Has this been dealt with?
Also we need someone to host a non-laggy server wth admin abilities. These have been the problems of the CTF league, and to my knowledge, remain problems. Can anyone enlighten me?

I know I can ask USS/AO1 bcause USS told me they have been working on some CTF maps and have admin hosting abilites, and dont worry, there will be a league password. Im still stumped if anyone else can host CTF othere than the Laggy CTF Server which has been down for quite a while.

^ Yes, I have one map I have created, but I only have AC's script.(The one from scriptline) Most people like to use the one in 56k's server. If they agree to use AC's, we can try it, however my map has bugs, so it wouldn't work.(The blue team doesn't always get ammo) XD

I doubt it. The CTF landscape is a mess unless it can be shown otherwise. Again, please see the CTF 2.0 Thread in this listing.

Yeah I guess, but I know that mob mental can host CTF, and some other can too, but I'm not sure who.

The CTF games created by others do not show the goals on radar
and the effective area of the goal doesnt match the octagon
I made CTF clones as well - in fact I worked closely with ArtCrazy to debug the scripts
but they never caught on
I also asked for the originals and offered to host them but was ignored
