Hey all.

Been a while since, but I had a request to fire up a new artsy fartsy fiest, so that's what we'll do.

Here's the deal for this season. We will have TWO CATHEGORIES this time:

First one: The freakiest painting you can ever cook up. Now, I'm not talking about a funny looking beach ball bobbing in a water pool. I'm talking about the wickedest, most expressive stuff you can come up with. Outta this world type o stuff to blow our minds with.

Second cathegory: The most proper, ordinary picture you can make. And I mean, the "properest of the properest". Nothing fancy, nothing out of the ordinary. Just plain simple, clean, proper things. Generic is key. And whatever you paint, be aware of the fact that your work is to be judged later on, by its level of 'normality' and properness. Note that No obvious humour is allowed, either.

So, go at it!

DEADLINE FOR PAINTING SUBMISSIONS TO BE POSTED: Sunday JUNE 18 (6 pm EST).

VOTING PERIOD: BETWEEN JUNE 18 (6 pm EST) AND JUNE 21 (6 pm EST). (5 best participants will be listed by the end of the day, at June 21!

As many submissions as you like are allowed. When it's time to start voting, each person can only place THREE (3) votes (all may be on the same artist), in this fashion: 1 point - Artist Name, 2 points - Artist Name and 3 points - Artist Name (3 points being placed on your best favorite).

I agree, the bulls figths are very cruell and insane "show", it is like the Roman circus in the 21st century

But is a very important part of the spanish culture and has been represented, across the centuries, by painters like, Goya, Picasso, Velazquez, EL Greco, Dali, etc.

I am a Matador of joke, but im a good artist. Lol

Oh my. I've miscalculated the deadline for the submissions in my head completely. Sorry about my confusing post yesterday. I was late for a match in Enemy Territory and posted the message very rashly, saying the deadline would be tomorrow. Of course, it's still June 18th and nothing else. And after that, between June 18th and June 21st, we all post our votes. (I may or may not be home until the voting period ends, since I'm going out sailing the big ocean, but if I'll not be here then, maybe you can all help counting the votes and posting the WINNER! Ok? If all goes chaos, anarchy, civil war, etc., etc., I'm therefore assigning the superior ref role to Supra (in case needed), just to secure that the right (me) person wins. B) ;)

Now. This is great, because now I will get time to make my paintings since the deadline isn't over yet.

Remember, ALL: I love a lot of your art works! Some are really really awesome! But please try to stay more focused on the 2 cathegories for the contest. Anything else - although it may be super nicely drawn - is very difficult to vote on, if it's not being cathegorized according to the desciption above and at least 'somewhat' designed for the specifics of this contestst (read cathegories description in the header). Thanks for understanding. And most of all, thanks for sharing your creativity!!! And yes, Warfare, you CAN draw. ;)

@ CompUComp. I'm feeling a little ashamed, but these days I tend to play more Enemy Territory than TT. My nick in ET is S.i.m.p.l.a.s.t.i.c (without the dots). I live in Sweden, Europe, so I don't usually play on US servers, but no problem, we can have some games on ET sometime.

Wiz, is there a website for E.T. That has modding information similar to this site?

I may be interested in making some stuff for another game.

Naplam, ET uses a different language and it's not C++ syntax (TSL language). However, Enemy Territory does have the open source so there are SO many mods in ET. I mean lots!

If you like FPS game, than play this game. Played this game for a year now and I'm not quittin' yet!

I'm sorry that I kind of lost my touch, in the role as the ref here :) I had to leave for a sailing trip on the ocean and when I came back, it felt a little late to announce a specific winner.

So I'm hereby taking the liberty to announce (myself..., sorry) All of us, the winners. Diplomatic, aye? No, but I think it was a very tight competition this season and it so happened that we, somehow, managed to tie, everyone of us...

Maybe there will come a time for a final, 3rd art contest, if someone urges to see a definite winner.

Anywho. Football Championships in Germany still runs and I got to hurry to the television screen now. (Even if Sweden were embarrasing enough to loose against Germany and therefore the whole tournament...)

Man... Wow. That painting is diamond. I like it a lot. I'm even giving it my vote for (very hard to know which cathegory) the Freaky cathegory. Was considering the Ordinary cathegory, but I found some ounces of something reminding me of humour in there (which is strictly prohibited in the Proper/Ordinary cathegory), so.

Still waiting for that perfect, ultra generic, ordinary painting. :)
