He he, I actually have some ideas myself. How bout some more avatars, or the ability to choose our own? It would also be cool to expand on PGG's idea, putting more than just skinner and modder tags. How about tags to show which army you're in, or if you're an army leader? XD

I personally would like to have the ability to upload our own avatars. Of course, keep restrictions on them, such as size and obvious content that shouldn't be allowed.
But meh, maybe I'm just too used to other forum types like vB and ezboard.

Jay, for the same reason that caused the heavy moderating this morning.
Avatars could be fun! Problem is -Z- is volunteering his time, improving PTT remotely in his spare time, so no one, not even him, has any idea of what will be done.
FYI I have passed along the Avatar suggestion I the admin forum - especially since it iis one feature I'd love to see implemented. However it all depends on -Z- ; we may burden him with 'special requests' but obvisouly at the end of the day he'll decide what can and should be done.
About Sig - that's different. Players can have sigs right now if they want (mine is below) so I don't see how a Signature PTT feature would be any better.

^ good point. Of course, it would still be kinda cool to have a quote or image that you don'y have to worry about posting every time you post. Just kinda liek the sprinkles that some ppl love, but others get caught in their teeth and swear really loudly.

Nothing says originality like linking to other people's images.
But it would make it alot easier if everytime you posted the signature came up without us having to find the code, or pasting it
Because im always using copy and I cant have my signature in everytime. I could have it under a hotkey but its easier to just add the signature automatically

Have a special badge made up to show the members of a championship team. If you are on the team that takes the next TS championship then you would have a special badge until the next seasons champions are crowned. CTF and BM could also have their unique badge.

Signatures I am against - especially seeing some of those that people take the time and trouble to copy and paste most times. Imagine a whole thread with large pictures at the bottom of each post. It's ok to see it once, but it begins to look really messy and irritating, as well as making pages slower to load.
Avatars - again, given the collective crowd that makes up PTT, I'm against it. I love customisation as much as the next guy - if not more, but I've also seen my fair share of forums where kids and others end up using all sorts of repulsive or offensive or just plain sick avatars. I think there is plenty of offensive behaviour in the content of posts. I did however, initially plan to add more tank avatars - i.e. Small pictures of skinned tanks, but implementation of that is not so easy unless people just submt avatars to be added to the list eveyone can choose from. Or perhaps the skinners can create extra avatars or something
I've seen some people with stars that flash purple witha qeustion mark after it, what does that mean? :o

I think you should get more stars for posting quality not quantity. Now everyone will just spam the forums to try to gettheir 5 stars. Either way, it's good to see some changes for the better and good to see -z- is back.

Perhaps the ability for anyone with 5 stars be able to apply for a custom tag? This feature benifits me, hense it's suggestion. XD

Well everyone, -Z- is barely back and lo! He's already churning out the updates! All that from his remote and undisclosed location (it is said he hides in an underground chinese bunker, somewhere in the Himalayas), thanks to the help of 56k who emailed old scripts and files to -Z-.
Like you may know we have an Admin Forum and -Z- posted a list of the upgrades, which I paste here:

- The most visible is the star system. It's based on the number of posts:
50+ for 1 star
100+ for 2 stars
250+ for 3 stars
500+ for 4 stars
1000+ for 5 stars
- New icons:
If you been away from PTT
>1 month = AWOL (Absent WithOut Leave)
>3 months = MIA (Missing In Action)
Other symbol is to indicate mod/admin.
And a couple of symbols to indicate if a member is silenced or banned.
He addressed the problem with slow PTT uptime
- He deleted 700 accounts
- Apparently the 'unread thread' flagging takes a whole bunch of processing power, so he modified it.
And also...
Spent a lot of time clearing up integrity issues... Comments belonging to players that don't exist, comments in threads that don't exist and so on.
Plus other arcane things, which only -Z-, the PTT Creator, can comprehend.
