*****************************Congratulations*********************************************
******************************The Cuddly Teddy Bears
*************************Summer Scrum Champions**************************
*********************************** ******************************************************
***************************************************************************

This will be a 4 on 4 tournamnet
This will be a set day and time Wednesday nights at 09:30 Eastern Time)

Games will start Wednesday JUNE 1st 9:30 EST, Finals will be played on August 3rd 2005

We will utilize the home team concept as in Psycho Scrum. Home teams will be required to host their games.
Each match consists of 2 games. Match scoring will be used like last season (W = 2 pts, L = 0 pts, T = 1 pt, W both games = 1 extra point).

I think this is a great oppertunity to introduce some new maps that are a bit on the extreme side. We can include some great maps by Rooster, Dash, Monkee Man, Crapblaster, Triv, Wiz, KBC, MAX CR, Wiz, and myself.
This should add a lot of variety and keep things interesting.

******This will require installing the Expansion Pack and the Mod_Pack to eliminate downloads and wait time.*****

I sense bitterness....

@Walrus

Yes, that's an hour of my life I'll never get back. I don't mind losing as long as it's a fun game, but that was farcical.

Friday, July 08, 2005 at 3:55:49 AM

Yeah BC thats how we feel on all our home games...

Pray to GOD for him to reveal himself to you.

Friday, July 08, 2005 at 8:33:21 AM

Aw BC c'mon. The map just calls for a more strategic game plan and team communication.

Heh speak for yourself Jacob. :)

Friday, July 08, 2005 at 8:53:37 AM

Wait til you play the pony bc, we've been getting very polarized reviews of the map: Love it or hate it.
think trench warfare scrum frenzy.

Friday, July 08, 2005 at 9:38:25 AM

I think the issue with the map is the area that a tank has to cover.

In one of the manuals I found regarding TGE, it states specifically about big maps "don't do it" I found this out with some of my larger maps as well.

Friday, July 08, 2005 at 9:40:45 AM

I friggin love the Pony. It's the most intense map I've ever played on. You can be down by 6 and end up 2 in a flash. You're not gonna find a faster map out there.

Like a midget at a urinal, I was going to have to be on my toes.

Invite a retard to a picnic and you'd better expect to get drool in the potato salad.

Friday, July 08, 2005 at 9:41:56 AM

^ I like that map a lot but the problem with the 'LONEWOLF MOUNTAIN SCRUM' map is that its too big plus it'd take a while to memorize where all the boost pads are, while on the other hand , 'the baloney pony' is very easy to memorize. Just a game or two and you're set.

Friday, July 08, 2005 at 9:45:08 AM

^ & ^^ The Pony is a "cool ride."

Friday, July 08, 2005 at 11:24:37 AM

Pony is 1337.

Friday, July 08, 2005 at 11:29:02 AM

@ Big Show
No offense but not all maps only take 3 times to know them ! Practing is part of leagues and each and every bodies responsability to practice and learn them for leagues or they let their team down ! IMHO B)

^^ some of us cant play 6 hours a day

Friday, July 08, 2005 at 4:29:16 PM

@ Az lmfao!!! Actually, I had to find and stop a rest area on the map because I had to pee every five minutes from all the juice I was drinking. Then, I had to go outside and smoke a cigarette due to nicotene withdrawal, and by the time that was done......

@ ALL I sent Lone and email of appology because he's a great dude and I normally dont act like an ass and cry over a loss. BUT I still think that map is way too big.

@ Bolo I agree, there are nights that I never play, life is more precious. :)

Friday, July 08, 2005 at 5:53:06 PM

Lol KKB, I found taping down the arrow keys on my board works well too. I took the dog for a walk & came back and watched my tank do a kick-ass block! :)

Actually after two matches I like the map. Kinda funny watchin' people 'curse at us for a game and a half. I think the arrows are as much of a diversion as a scoring tool.

Yankees don't come to fenway and go home talking about how great it was there. Home field advantage baby. We picked the map for a reason.

Friday, July 08, 2005 at 7:03:11 PM

@ walrus... Bad comparison my friend. MLB has rules and their home run walls are usually in the 300 to 400 foot range, NOT 3000 to 4000 range. All I am saying is we need to set some guidelines for more fair maps for all. NUF SAID ;) ;) ;)

Friday, July 08, 2005 at 9:05:32 PM

Even if a ballpark's walls were 3,000 feet away, wouldn't each team have just as equal a disadvantage?

Friday, July 08, 2005 at 10:00:23 PM

@ Walrus, I guess I didnt make my point clear. We need status quo. I have never played on a map this big. When BC, Big Show , and myself complain, that means that there are some discrepencies here. The playing fields in major league sports have guidelines on how big or little their playing fields should be. That makes for better competition and more fun for all. :)

Friday, July 08, 2005 at 11:12:39 PM

I don't like the big maps either, but that's just my preference. I think there is less action when playing on large maps.

Like a midget at a urinal, I was going to have to be on my toes.

Invite a retard to a picnic and you'd better expect to get drool in the potato salad.

Saturday, July 09, 2005 at 12:30:49 AM

I've always Hated LWS Its just too bloody big !! A perfect size map is collosum cove by Dash or the Pony, both great Maps!

Saturday, July 09, 2005 at 5:42:46 AM

I didn't make corpus collosum, Monkee did and yes it rocks.
thanks on the pony too.

Saturday, July 09, 2005 at 6:52:43 AM

I agree with basically all of the above comments. LWS is wayy too big, and in my opinion not that much fun. I really like some of the other maps we have played on in this league that 've never played on before like Pony and Sisu-land.

Saturday, July 09, 2005 at 8:48:50 AM

Just playin with ya KKB ;)

The snowballs are a real presence with the addition of Az, Dj, and X. You gotta play these guys to win. No freebies. Makes the league better.

....Ho Ho Ho Baba

Try as you will, but not even teaching a new trick to that old dog Tally will do you any good.

Tuesday, July 12, 2005 at 1:28:28 PM

Damn...sorry Snowballs but I know for a fact that I can't make this Wednesday and I don't think I will be able to do it the whole rest of the season. I have XC/Track and Field practice starting now and its Mon-Friday from 6:30 to 7:30 PST. :[

When the new PSL9 season starts, why don't we do it on Saturdays? I'm sure that there are a ton of people like me who have sports and other plans who won't be able to do it on weekdays.

Tuesday, July 12, 2005 at 3:05:19 PM

@ All
Melted Snowballs nee to pick up Aztexrabit to have a full team this week ! Any one know how to reach him/her ? Please contact me via email ASAP ! B)

Let's do this.

Wednesday, July 13, 2005 at 5:25:29 PM

Ed's swept the Fun Guys. Good games all. Didn't take screenies, don't remember scores.

Like a midget at a urinal, I was going to have to be on my toes.

Invite a retard to a picnic and you'd better expect to get drool in the potato salad.

Wednesday, July 13, 2005 at 7:21:17 PM

Too ridiculous to bother with. ;)

Next time I'm going to hack the server beforehand!!! XO THEN we'll see who laughs last! XD

Wednesday, July 13, 2005 at 7:29:50 PM

OK not sure what heppened here but, CTB showed up with 4 players and a sub "ICY" Before Bolo showed up I was asked if icy can sub and I said sure as long as the teams are evenly numbered. We in typical fashion PIP did not make it. (Dropped from the team tonight BTW.) So Bolo tells icy to bolt at the countdown. The server restarts and T-34 leaves and icy plays. Hey, I certainly don't mind if we recruit subs to fill a team, but if you have four players who are actually on the team shouldn't they play? Why was a sub used if there were enough players to feild a team?

BTW, we tied the first game and lost the second :(

Wednesday, July 13, 2005 at 8:06:50 PM

My dog ate my computer and I had to drive to florida to buy a new one and bring it back, but it sounds like the eds did ok anyway.
