^ Bad referee, our coach is filing a report on bad refereeing... I don't know what can happen if its "accepted", but I dont think its something too light :P
But yes, if the referee let you have a PK for that matter, we should've had a PK when you pushed Cristiano Ronaldo near the goal... Then there were hundreds of fouls you did that werent marked, but almost every foul we did was marked... O.O

@ AC: The referee probably didn't call a lot of those penalties because he was tired of Portugal diving so much ;)

In my eyes, Zidane was the MVP of the game, with that outstanding head-butt. I fell off the couch laughing when I saw that. I mean, who head-butts someone? Well the Cup was fun while it lasted.

I am still flying high after my homeland won their fourth World Cup!
I have never felt such a pure high, except for births of my three children but that was different, lots more relief in that feeling but I have to say that there was a great deal of relief in Italy finally winning a World Cup after 24 long frustrating years, especially in penalty kicks!!!
Just so you know, here's what's happened to Italy in the 5 World Cups they lost between the championships of 1982 and 2006.
1986 Lost in 2nd round to the smelly French 2-0
1990 Lost in Semi-Finals to Argentina on Penalty Kicks! (Italy was host and did not give up a goal until this 6th game!)
1994 Lost in FINALS in USA to Brazil on Penalty Kicks! (Brazil could not score on Italy)
1998 Lost in Quarter-Finals to the smelly French on...yep..you guessed it, penalty kicks yet again! (France couldn't score!
2002 Lost in 2nd Round to the host Korea in Overtime (not penalty kicks this time but it still hurt!)
By the way, I'd like to throw in what happened in 2000 at the Euro Cup which happens every four years just like the World Cup but of course it's only for European countries. Italy was winning 1-0 with no time left basically, they were passed the 90th minute and into the fourth minute of injury time. Well, France scored a miracle goal before the wistle blows and they go to overtime and the smelly French score a golden goal which steals the Euro Cup from Italy!!! 2-1! Ouch!
So you see why it was extra special beating the French this time? Sweet revenge baby! Sweet!!! Extra special to beat them on PK's!!! It ended a 28 year streak of losing to them (Italy last defeated France in the 1978 World Cup 2-0).
Note: More irony here and devine justice if you ask me. The man who missed the penalty kick for France that won it for Italy in the 2006 World Cup was the same guy who beat Italy in the 2000 Euro Cup!!! Talk about revenge baby!!!
