The bite from the apple logo is symbolism . Try to figure it out if you can ! I already know. Hehehe...
Oh my gosh, you think that Linux is based on DOS? Wow, that's got to be the quote of the day. Microsoft came out with the computer system 'DOS' after Apple released the 'Macintosh' in 1984. Macintosh was the complete opposite of DOS, as the Mac was actually useable and had a GUI interface. THEN Microsoft said "Hey, I think maybe we should copy Apple's operating system, because people hate ours, it has a buncg of problems among other horrible things!" SO, they came up with Windows 95. If you want to see why they copied Apple, take a look at the console application on Windows. Imagine your whole OS being like that...

2,469.00??? Huh? How many copies did you order? Or is that NOT the price of the quote? :S
Just wanted to make sure people were paying attention. LOL
Na, I just ordered on copy for myself. Educational discount @ $69.00
Nap
Microsoft actually never came out with DOS.
They came out with MS-DOS, which was their name on someone else's labour.
Sound familiar?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microsoft
Microsoft licensed a cloned design of CP/M called Quick and Dirty Operating System, from Tim Paterson's Seattle Computer Products in order to sell it to IBM as the standard operating system for the IBM PC. Microsoft subsequently purchased all rights to QDOS for $50,000, and renamed it MS-DOS (for Microsoft Disk Operating System). Later, IBM discovered that Gates' operating system could have infringement problems with CP/M, contacted Kildall, and in exchange for a promise not to sue, made an agreement that CP/M would be sold along with IBMDOS when the IBM PC was released.
Ohh. Heh. Well shucks! I was gonna ask you if you could spare a copy for me. XD
Anyway, glad you got your ship confirmation. My blasted order has been on "Preparing Shipment" now for about 36 hours and counting. I just wish they'd hurry up and get it out the door already! How freakin' hard is it to slap a label on a box and drop a retail copy in it? Geez!
