Sorry Ozzy, but I will have to disagree. Sure Hendrix was good, but he was certainly not the best. Clapton and Stevie Ray Vaughan are both good examples of better players. These two, plus Santana, put more emotion and soul into their playing than Hendrix ever did.

I agree jimi isnt the best he could only do cool tricks with his guitar he couldnt play fast!!!! I think Jimmy Paige from Led Zepplin or Slash from Guns N Roses are the best guitarists!!!!!

I see you point sherm. And JoE speed isn't everything! But if you look hendrix was playing before these guys. And to him I don't believe that speed was an issue, he just wanted to get a good sound! ANd he made great music by doing that! Now let me restate my previous! HE is a great guitar player and all, but I should have said just that! Not that he is the best! He and Slash and all the other you listed are the best players! (Don't forget "Dimbag!")
