As quoted by -z-

Excuse me, but why were cat and Lauryn playing on one team?? No you can't just combine teams.

What do you think the point of picking teams and splitting off the better players as captains was for? It's stupid things like this that are making me wonder if I shouldnt just cancel the whole tournament

Enough said..Are all of you reading this?????Do you see the word CANCEL ??? DON"T YOU GET IT???? Shut the F@$# up, play a player short if needed, I will!! & we'll make new rules for the future tournaments..DON"T PISS OFF -z- PLEASE.....dam XO

@ MOE,

When I wrote my post, link , I never said what I did was right, however your tone off language is not called for and I think that you need a reality check. As I have mentioned, the original LilAlien team will advance to the next round, so please chill, and stop being so patronizing.

I will not start a slinging match, so grow up.

Enough said.

@ lauryn

Guess you don't get it..to bad..A lot of us like leagues. If we get through this without pissing off -z- we'll have a chance for more organized playing...captains & players can get together & make new drafting & reserve rules...look long term ..not a short 3 games

Sorry for my 1st "out of anger" post but a lot of us have been waiting a long time for CTF leagues & I don't want to screw it all up.

@ MOE,

I agree with your comments, and I am not arguing that. I am looking long term, however as I stated in the other thread, I made the call without realizing that there may be rules in place. I felt sorry for Cat and (sxy) Kimmy today. Having to bow out through no fault of theirs. I am not trying to justify anything, I just posted my reply so you could all understand why I made such a decision.

LilAlien's team of -v-, LilAlien, and myself look forward to meeting you next round. May the best team win.

We need a pool of reserver players that are all about the same skill level, and if you are a player short just see if you can find one of them online. If not play a man (or woman) short.

waiting for an answer from the only one who should be talking in the first place.... -z-

I don't want you (-z-) do get upset and frustated here, I just want to play a fair game/tournament. In my complete aggravation from people not showing up, switching, leaving, argueing, and refusing to play I posted the only thing that was actually settled on at the time. I apologize for jumping the gun there and I apologize on behalf of me and my team. I would like to keep playing though, even if it means withdrawing from this tournament and waiting for the next one.

The only solid point I'm going to make here, as team captain, is that -v- is OUT. During mid game, he stopped playing and informed us that he had to go because his mom said so. That shows complete unreliability and isn't acceptable what-so-ever.

@LilAlienD(FU)

I agree with you regarding the fact that there is only one authority here.

When Oddball couldn't find AIM(+)HERE, he and MajorPain didn't bitch - they were completely prepared to play TEAM CRUSH 2 on 3. Eventually, -Z- assigned Leech to Kelly's Heroes, and it's now 3 on 3 again/

My point - whatever happens with team assignments is up to -z- and no one else.

@ALL

I apologize if I have shown my ass this morning. Please accept my apologies.

I ran into -z- last night, who, unfortunately woke up at 3 AM his time to play our match, only to find we had to cancel it. He was not a happy camper. All he could say regarding the CTF tourney was "grrrr" I think these kinds of mixups and problems are bound to happen at first. It's understandable since this is the first CTF tourney. While there have been tournaments for some time now in TT, I doubt the 1st Scrum or BM tourney went smoothly either.

Also, keep in mind that other tourneys and leagues have a large number of vets of those leagues, whereas here we have a mix of newcomers to leagues and tourneys and some vets. It will take a mixup or two before everyone settles into the way this needs to work. I'm not pointing any fingers, just stating some truth.

Since this is a short run, let's just play these games and not fret too much about the outcome. For our match tonight, I'm playing whether or not my whole team shows. It doesn't really matter enough at this point to keep delaying things. Let's just get it over with.

Just my 2˘ on the issue.

@ OM

Well said. By the way, what time is your match? Moe v Oddball is slated for 9:30 EDT.

@ (UF) Chief - We are on for 10 PM EDT. We'll monitor the server in case your match runs a little over. It's not a problem as long as we can get on before 10:30 PM.

Okay, this is my idea for the leagues. There has been major problems sorting out schedules and all that. I think we need to make the schedules and sign ups based on time. "sign up for the Wednesday 9-11pm EST league" and all that. If you sign up for a team at that time, and you can't make it, tough luck. Each team should have an alternate available at that time. What do you guys think?

@Rorshoq - while in principle, this makes sense, keep in mind that -z- is currently the only person that can host CTF games. Therefore, placing all the games for a league on one night within a 2 hour time frame can get tricky. There is only 1 server to play on, so each team will have to wait in a "queue" of sorts for the other team to finish and exit the server. This is what we'll be doing tonight, watching for Oddball and MOE's match to finish before jumping in.

On paper, your idea makes sense; that's how other league games go, but in practice, with only 1, or at most, 2 servers up, this may be difficult to execute.

@-z- are there any plans for you to have BraveTree incorporate your CTF into a future update to the game? If so, that would solve the problem in future leagues.
