Hope that helps you ! B)
Sound to this techie like a a malfunctioning video card
or an overheating problem
Open the box and insure that the cooling elements are clean
and maybe remove the video card and gentlly with a pencil eraser
clean any tarnish off the gold contact strips at the bottom of the card
When clean reinstall card into motherboard and see what happens
on startup
^ Will do. Thanks guys.
EDIT: I unplugged everything and found two inches of dust lying under the computer. I took it outside and tried to blow as much of the dust out of the machine as I could, while ignoring the questionable glances from the neighbors as they drove by. After dusting everything off I plugged everything back in I booted up and everything seems to be working fine. I don't think the fan can take the dog hair and dust of our office so I guess I just have clean everything out every couple months. Problem solved, WOOT!

Hey. I'm on an iMac G4 running Tiger 10.4.4. Recently my computer has bee acting very strange. It freezes VERY often and it will take a few tries before it will even boot correctly. When it does run for the short periods in between the crashes, there are colored dots and lines everywhere on the screen. I'm not sure if its the moniter, the display settings, or what but it's getting very annoying having to deal with a crashing computer all the time. If you are on the same computer I am please tell me what you think is wrong, or how your settings are configured. Thanks.
