I like the idea, though I have never tried it. It is a considerate thing to do for all the good sportsmen/women out there. Good job.

I'm working on those skills my friend.
Gents (and ladies),
I think I've played against most of you, and I'd like your opinions. I'm curious as to how y'all might define "camping." When playing in a game where someone likes to shake off his/her pursuers by taking the scrum for a World Tour, is parking a respectful distance away from the goal and waiting for the pack "camping?" (Respectful distance meaning halfway between the action and the goal.) I would say not, and I've seen what I consider to be fair and square players doing the same. I also take my turns in the chase pack, because somebody's got to do it.
However, some cretin flamed me for doing this very thing earlier, and I'm curious what the general consesus is. I suspect we'd all disapprove of Chong-style in-the-goal parking. But where's the line?
I'd also say that when these's a mash-up right at the goal, all bets are off. I do try to follow something like a three-second rule in basketball.

OK,
I see there are lots of opinions already here in some other threads. No clear answers. I'll likely be hearing from the cretins some more. See you on the field.

I hate campers too! Good job with doing this to everyone who tries (together with me) to get rid of the campers!

I created a tank called Camper Clearance and here is what I do with it: I usually use a heavy and just sit as far away from the goal as I can and guard it, shooting warning shots or sometimes pushing tanks off the goal. If that does not work I start killing.
Now, I understand the difference between spawing as the scurm moves toward the goal, tactical sitting, and strategic maneuvers near or on the goal when the scrum is close. I think we all know consistent camping when we see it. Hiya Chong!
It seems to work pretty well, campers clear off, get frustrated (that's the point) or spend so much time killing me they don't camp, play or score. Usually I get a bunch of camper, BMer demos shooting at me, which is exactly what CC is for, to draw fire and leave the goal open for the real players. I make no attempt to score and if I end up with the flag, I just sit and wait for someone to take it from me.
I have fun with it and I learn a lot observing the game from afar, watching the brains fly and the really good scrummers make their moves.
I was wondering what other players thought. Am I just being an uptight cop? Should I cut it out? Is this useful for other players? Have others done this recently? Does it make sense?
