It has finally happened *sniff* :( my TT has quit working altogether, both offline functions, and online (except for my backup copy, which only offline functions work). My ignition key's been disabled, too, so there's no re-downloading *sob* :S... This happened about the same time I got Norton Internet Security (NIS) installed (windows is really pissing me off). X/ I guess I'll have to say 'good bye' for a while, until I get another $20.00... Or if I completely delete NIS, it might work... 8o but my weakly secured PC needs it 8( I don't have enough money to buy a mac laptop, but I have a fast mac desktop... :o is it possible to buy an external trackpad to hook into my mac :[ ? Probly not, but just asking... :P
does anyone know how to help?...sob...somebody....sniff....anybody! :'(

Well, I know nothing about mac, becasue they suck! No hmmmmmm sounds like you have internet probs too. What internet provider are you using? Does your internet browser work?

Why do you want a trackpad??

@Cloud: my browser's fine, internet connection's fine (comcast). Like I said, I think NIS (Norton Internet Security) did something with it (like not allowing it internet connection). The offline function's already screwed in this copy of TT... :[

@Pedro: because I learned TT on a laptop, and have gotten good on it, and have tried plugging a real mouse into my laptop, but I suck w/ it.

You could try downloading the mac version of TT and using your key on that.

If you have a monitor and USB keyboard, you can get a macMini for pretty cheap, and it's a good machine. You use your current monitor and keyboard, and get a better computer. (even if Cloud disagrees...)

As far as a trackpad, you could try using the one you have. And they do exist for mac.

@LGM: external trackpads, LGM? My plan was to sell my old iMac (which has a gazillion animating and music creating programs on it for $350.00 <which sounds somewhat reasonable, in my opinion>, and then saving $500.00 to get the MacMini with all the upgrades, which I need for animating, and music making) what do u think, LGM?

PS-- LGM, I've always played with my laptop sensitivity at all the way up, and in control panel I have the trackpad sensitivity all the way up, I think that'd afffect my mouse playing (also, I can't play TT on my old iMac that I'm gonna sell pretty soon) also, all the programs on my old iMac that I'm selling are on installation CD's, so it's not like I'm loosing anything

PS#2-- my ignition key's been disabled all the way, I asked support about it, and they said I had downloaded too many copies (that's cuz my other ones got screwed :( ) I checked garagegames, and tried re-downloading TT, and the registering didn't work.

Sounds like a good plan to me... As long as the mini has enough power for your animation work. I think it should, but don't know exactly what you do. If it works on your iMac, it should be no problem.

I have seen external trackpads on Macs, but don't have one. They usually are expensive compared to mice.

Niko did you give ThinkTanks permision to reach the internet thru Norton?

Hehe, lol, after a while searching through NIS's many little nooks and cranies, I finally found the list of 'allows,' and 'blocks.' Of course I then clicked 'allow' on ThinkTanks :P I feel sorta stupid...lol, so simple. Ty for ur ideas though :) (I'm still gonna get the external trackpad for my macmini when I get it XD

Ya I know Nicko-ST I once donwloaded Norton Firewall and all of a sudden my Internet Stoped working I think the best thing to do is Uninsatll (NIS) It may work oyu have to be careful wat u block thats why this might have caused interferance with Think Tanks!

You just have to disable a firewall or allow certain things I have NIS and thats all my parents had to do...I think.

NIS screw up things, right? I got NIS 2005 since 4 months and I can do anything on the internet, and its good too, it already blocked some attacks :P
I can play TT or any other online game, my internet is not screwed and it works... So I'm better off with NIs unninstalled? I dont think so.
And theres only one app that can cause interferance with TT, Thinktanks.exe (or if you use the Block Traffic function)

Hi Niko , I had same problem with NIS ,but now I am good.I dont remember how I did it , but it has function to block or alloud manualy connection to servers u want.Look for it in NIS , if still cant find it let me know , I will do it again and I will explain how I did it.
