Hey all

Its been a while coming but our first cyclone for the season is on its way. We normally get 3 - 5 a year form off the coast here.

Heading pretty much straight for us here (karratha) but may change.
"Clare" is Cat2 at the moment - but getting stronger quickly. Likely to cross the coast on Tuesday.

For all the weather freaks - like myself - you can track its progress from this site

http://www.bom.gov.au/weather/wa/

Anyho - got to go a tie down the boat (#1 priority), clean up the yard and stock beer fridge.
Will post some pics if it comes close to us.

Cheers

Squiddy

8 hours till it hits us. Should slide slightly south hopefully as Cat 4.
Blowing 120 - 140 kms per hour and getting nasty.

I certainly hope it's the latter. Now if we don't hear from him... :S Well, like Lone said, if there's anything we could do, let us know. ;)

I looked at the storm track. It was a CAT 3 when it hit landfall, and it wasn't far from Karratha. Hope all is well, squiddy. (or at least not too bad... )

Hi all - thanks for the well wishes !!

Everthing is cool. Lots of trees down etc but no-one hurt. Except for one idiot who tried to get his satellite dish down in 140km/h winds. He fell off his roof and landed on his clothsline and broke a few ribs.

Phones only just back on line as the telephone exchange took a direct lightning hit.

Very lucky that it didnt get much stronger. Still pretty scary 180-200km/h winds.

I lost part of my back fence and a few palm trees, plus the pool is full of dirt and leaves.

Back to cleaning up
